They are a lot better than what you might think from their rating. They are simply a victim of people misunderstanding them.

This Dealership and service department are the biggest group of liers I have ever encountered. bought a new Grady White in 2021 and had the annual service completed for the first three years of ownership. Seemed like everything was fine but had some equipment fail that was a known issue and was lied to from the dealership about resolution. It's sad that Grady White allows this dealership to support there product. If you are going to buy a Grady White boat do not use Quality Boats for the purchase. read more

These guys are total hack. Had to bring my boat back to them after they cracked to main cabin door. Took three months. Had them service my generator when it was there. Tech did a poor job on the service and didn't install the impeller seal correctly so it leaked inside the enclosure rusting many components and eventually rusted a hole in the oil pan. Took it back to another Quality boat location for service. Generator was removed and repaired. Ended up with a $5,000.00 bill as Quality Clearwater took no responsibility for their error. I am now looking for someone else to service my 2 year old Pursuit OS-355. Run from these guy, this is only one of the many issues I had with these guys. read more

Quality boats has mastered the art of deceptive sales tactics . On August 2 I spoke with top sales agent captain todd cook about coming to look at a boat . Captain Ron I meant Todd has NO sense of time management - late to his appointment , I showed myself the boat . When he strolled out 20 minutes later to sell 1/2 million dollar boat I could see he must have stepped in glue. Asking captain Ron questions about the boat took forever as he was easily distract by shinny objects . What's crazy is the kid on the fork lift doing donuts in the parking lot knew more about the boat . So what happened..... This dealership played me against another offer. I was told I would need to wire money to be a serious buyer As well a deposit of 10 percent which they had 15 minutes after signing the contract !!!!. Quick phone call to captain Crook and I was told all was good !!!! Hours later I received a call saying the dealership took another offer because it had no sea trial . I was told it was a hassle to do a sea trials and would be at least a week . What's funny I read another 1 star review and it said they don't like getting their trailers wet haha they don't like getting their boats wet either ! So working under their time restraints and being from out of the area we booked it 5 days later . Well instead of calling me back they took another offer . In my disappointment, I asked the owner to contact me to discuss his trade practices. apparently he is super busy in non stop meetings training his staff on the art of being a con artist and fake contracts 101. You think between meetings he could reach out to his potential customers . My guess ,he was probably just burnt out from dealing with depositions, litigations attorneys all day... hell I get exhausted just writing it . To the owners response , he did call be within 24 hours . Summary- super unprofessional!! And as far as your response comments please don't leave "we're sorry to hear about your experience " blah blah .... No one wants hear why you shouldn't go to prison . read more

Be careful when buying a boat here. Purchased a boat here they never fixed what they said also purchased warranty for over 26000 and can't even get them to return a call. They told me for months that they were going to make it right and now have went completely dark. Buy at own risk! read more

We purchased a boat from this company, we gave them a list of repairs that we wanted done, mostly we wanted oil change,plugs and other repairs ext. they told us everything was repaired and done on our boat! Well it was not done and we had the boat covered and delivered to us in another state. Only to find out it was not. Not a single thing was done. No I would not recommend this company at all. Couldn't be happier; ordered our new Grady White and the responsiveness of the staff has been Stellar. We've had a Grady White for years and are stepping up to the 2022 (from our 2001) and adding a few feet of length. Dave and his staff are top notch and have my respect .. and business! Not only did we get an outstanding boat, but the customer service is unbelievable. It doesn't end once you buy the boat. Any questions you have are welcomed and dealt with promptly. Bought a 28 foot Regal cabin cruiser from Gary Twigg. Training was good. Little else was. Service afterward was abysmal. I have very few hours on the boat (still) but things constantly break. During the buyiing process I was assured if I needed service they would be there for me. And they will be, after they charge you hundreds for traveling to you to fix a boat you cant take to them because it wont run even though it only had about bout 10 total hours on the engine. Then when the generator quit working Quality Boats service department quickly pawned me off on another company that required I fill out and fax a service order before they would even come look at the boat. I feel lied to, because I was assured they would both be there for me and Gary played up Regal's quality of build as being far superior to the other boat builders I was looking at. This will be my last Regal and my last Quality Boats purchase. Their Captain who does training was a good guy and really took his time and that keeps me from giving 1 star. read more

Do not purchase from this dealership!!!! I recently purchased a used shearwater bay boat from them, since I am in Georgia I paid to have the boat inspected by an independent surveyor and paid their shop $331 dollars to run diagnostics on the outboard, After trailering the boat home I discovered the engine would not start and found multiple connections disconnected on the engine. Prior to the boat going in their shop the engine tested/ran fine per the independent guy. The salesman and service writer instructed me that they should not have been left unattached as it was impossible for that type of connection to vibrate loose and that they would handle it. I was then called by Dan who stated oh we didn't do that , we wouldn't have undone those things to perform that service. Funny two of his employees stated , after watching a video they would , but yet when I requested a refund Dan offered me a $50 check for my inconvenience. Really? If you didn't do anything wrong why offer me money?? It's painfully obvious that I am not the only buyer who has issues with this dealerships dishonesty or poor service. Do yourself a favor and look else where. Just read some of the reviews you will see a common thread related to service issues and their service department. Recently bought our first boat, a 2004 Sea Ray 220 with 175 hours from Quality Boats in Clearwater. When I scheduled a sea trial they had to postpone due to the boat needing some work. It turned out to be exhaust that was the problem and that they had to change risers and elbows. Six hours later, after putting in a new battery, the engine failed to start. I called a dockside tech to fix the issue which was relatively minor, an idle air control valve. However, the mechanic found that the exhaust on one side was running very hot. Turns out the manifolds were the originals...11 years old and plugged up. It would require over $2000 to replace. I called the salesman, Eric, to see what they were going to do about the issue. He promised to investigate and call back. So far nothing but radio silence. Be very cautious in dealing with these people and have an independent inspection done. Don't take their word for anything. read more

These guys are the best. David and Byron (and the others) are wonderful to work with. There are a lot of shady dealerships out there, but this is NOT one of them. They have been around for decades because they treat people fairly and honestly. The worst experience the sale man Todd Cook reneged on everything that came out of his mouth and was very unprofessional. The owner stood behind him and his did not back the customer. If you are looking to get robbed after you cut a deal this is the place to go. They are also afraid to put their trailer in water to deliver boats. Worst experience ever. read more

WORST decision I ever made! Bought a 250K boat that constantly breaks down and nothing is ever fixed properly. Boat usually comes back in worse condition than it went in. Generator has never worked . After I bought the boat there was a recall on the generator so they told me I couldn't run the generator or it could start a fire. Then they had my boat in their shop for almost 3 months last summer trying to fix it. Once I got it back it still doesn't work and now they are telling me its out of warranty even though I paid a lot of money for the extended warranty. Kohler rep said they wont come out without a credit card so they can charge me for time and travel plus the repair and Regal is now saying the generator is separate from the boat. What kind of crap is that! Regal boats are a piece of crap and the Kohler generators are horrible and unreliable! What makes it worse is Quality boats takes no pride in servicing your boat and treats them like they are a 500 dollar john boat. I can go on and on with lists of what doesn't work on the boat...do yourself a favor and stay away from Quality boats and Regal boats in general. read more
