I was also told my catalytic converters were blocked. They wrote on the receipt, I shouldnt drive, and to have it towed home. Upon picking up my truck, i drove a piece down the road, and turned off my truck, low and behold, the fuel pump wasnt working again. i called Chris who was who i originally spoke with, and told him i was upset, he told me he would have the higher ups call me. well after a few days i called again, and was told the same thing. This has been 3 weeks. They wrote me finally after a review saying i was advised not to drive it. According to them, after they looked at it, i had the same person who put a new fuel pump on, work on it again. This is a false statement, i never said the same person looked at it again, it was taken to different shop. The man at the shop told me there was no repair done to the wiring, as i was told it was corroded. The shop went under and checked the wiring, and found they couldnt have cleaned corrosion, as there would be a shadow remaining. This place told me, not if it was done right. So my next step will be to contact the BBB and let them know about whats going on since they cant return a phone call. Im sure they will again write something on this saying it was my fault. Oh, by the way the 2nd shop pulled the O2 sensors, and put a camera in the catalytic converters, and found no block. My receipt never said what diagnostics were done, this what i originally wanted, a print out to maybe try minor repairs myself. No pictures, no nothing, just what they said. I took them at their word until the same issue happened 10 minutes down the road. The vehicle the first time was towed into their shop, as the fuel pump wasnt working. Great way of doing buissness, to make me forced into writing this review, and contacting the BBB. Do your homework on this place. .

Don't waste your time…read more I came to the shop with 3 problems: -A sound from the right side of my car. I gave them instructions on how to reproduce it, just drive the car on the highway -My car needed a regular service -I wanted to reset a warning light on the dash. They wasted my time and I left with more problems. They told me they would get to it that day on site. Then called me and told me they would not be able to get to it till the next. They don't even inspect it till the afternoon of the next day, and want to keep the car for another day. The next day they told me they were not able to reproduce the sound. I go in and immediately reproduce the sound with a tech in the car on the highway. They say they will look at it. I leave. I come back and they tell me they "aren't a shop specialized in fixing that problem" go to a different shop. Fine, I appreciate the honesty. They give me my car back. I turn on the car. Sound still there, Car regular service timer not reset - Such a simple thing, if they're cutting corners here what else are they cutting corners on? Warning light not reset. I go back in , ask them to reset both warnings. They come back, warning light needs a physical part and they need another part that they want to charge me for ~20 dollars, and for me to wait another few hours. They did reset the service timer. At this point they've wasted enough of my time. I leave, paying few hundred dollars for the service and them having wasted 3 days of my time. I go to a different shop. The fix is so simple they fix it for free in 20 minutes. Also they spam you with advertising texts despite never asking. In summary: They didn't fix any of my original problems, needed me to micromanage them to follow basic instructions to diagnose, are slow and incompetent.

The battery had died…read morewhile it sat in their lot over the weekend, they jump started the battery to get it in the garage and then they said they would not look at the air conditioner unless I replaced the battery at a cost of $500. Absolutely ridiculous pricing. It takes 15min or less to remove the battery. A new battery at auto store is $150-200. I said no thanks I will pick the car up and take it elsewhere . They then charged me $170 for their "inspection". I jump started the car to get home, took the battery out (took 10 min), took the battery to the local auto store where it was tested and the battery was still good. So here I'm out $170 for absolutely nothing and the air conditioner still does not work. I do not understand why they wouldnt just charge the battery and fix the A/C. And $500 to swap out a battery is absurd. Will never go back and dont recommend .

This is for the Plymouth store, but I don't see it on Yelp yet as they recently opened…read more UPDATE: I wrote the review just as I about to get our van back. A bolt broke and rather than just saying, 'sorry, come back next week,' Scott and Rocky, one of the owners, drove all over Michigan to get the parts on Saturday--when they're closed--and then asked their head mechanic to come in from vacation on Sunday morning to get it all fixed in time for a long trip. I felt awful that they did this, but they wanted to get this right and get us on the road. I HIGHLY doubt another shop would go so above and beyond. In fact, I share with them there's going above and beyond and then there's Ric and Rocky level; honest, fair, and they place service above self. Now the original review: A friend of mine recommended them, for which I am very grateful. We had gone to a big chain store to get a tire, but they screwed it up. They also misdiagnosed other issues. When I called to explain the situation and also that my wife needed the car to go on a long trip, they quickly moved to action and got everything sorted. They were very clear in what the issues were, communication, and pricing. They also stayed an hour and half late in order to finish the car so we could get on the road. One other thing that's noteworthy is that their store is very clean and welcoming with a great image of old Plymouth. It points to how they care for the customer and want to do the best. Oh one of the things is that the owner drove me home when I dropped off the car after I shared I planned to get Uber. This shop was hired to repair a muffler issue, but the exhaust continued getting louder after they…read moresaid it had been fixed. Our regular mechanic later inspected the vehicle and immediately found and repaired a hole on the top of the exhaust near the front--an issue that was easy to hear and feel. A repair shop should be able to identify and fix a basic exhaust problem, especially when the symptoms are so obvious. Their oil-change prices are comparable to other shops, but they wanted to charge $70 for a tire rotation, which seemed excessive. I also found the shop's odor unpleasant, with strong smells resembling car exhaust, dog waste, and sewer gas. They may be fine for routine services such as oil changes, but based on my experience, I would be cautious about trusting them with more extensive repairs.

I knew the car needed work to take care of deferred (sloppy) maintenance. I asked several friends who are into new-ish European cars for recommendations on who could change the timing belts/water pump, etc. That's how I landed at Auto Europe. I spoke with Jeff, a service writer, about the job and requested Jon Kotila, one of the most experienced techs at Auto Europe. Long story short: before I brought the car in for service, it sounded like a diesel and was just off. It wasn't running bad, but it wasn't right. Although the car sat for a few weeks before it was serviced, it came back like a totally different car. The engine is as quiet as a church mouse. It is smoother and quicker and totally dialed in. I budgeted more for the job, which included changing all three motor mounts, and was pleasantly surprised at the lower bill. Bottom line: Auto Europe's service department is excellent. 5 well earned Stars.
