I told him I didn't believe he changed either part and only installed a gasket. He swore on his kids that he changed them so I paid him. I just recently confirmed that I have the original equipment on the vehicle and nothing was changed except the gasket. Be careful! I want my money!

I have had my cars serviced here at A&S Auto on East Warren a few times. The last car I had serviced was the deal breaker for me. Sam and Al will screw you over to the max. They will make it appear as though they are honest mechanics but they are 100 percent shady. I towed an inoperable 2008 Buick Lacrosse because I did not know why it would not start. I explained this to Al and Sam cause they are mechanics and I am not. I left my key and car there and left. Something I would never do again. A few hours later, I get a call from Al who says I needed a battery, rear alignment, filter, oil change, starter, control arms and he needed $1200 to start the work. I agreed and stopped by to pay the amount. The next day I received a call from Sam who says my car was ready and I needed $1500 and I told him that I was on the way. Approximately 2 minutes away, I get a call from Al who stated that he just discovered that my engine was going bad. So all the work was completed and Al & Sam never turned on the car, cause if they did the issue would've been apparent. I arrive and Sam is soliciting me to have him to do the engine work for $4500.00. I pay the remaining balance cause he charges for.daily storage and I was not going to give him an inoperable car. I drive the vehicle a few blocks away and it cuts off. I called Sam to explain what occurred and he told me that there is nothing he could do and its my responsibility. I disputed the charges and it is still pending and submitted a complaint to the State of Michigan. Al & Sam you two are a piece of shit and got down on me. This place have also put used parts on customer's cars and was called out on it. I have had them repair another car in the past and a few days later, experienced the same issues. They just had a hard time with this tire. When he called this place, the man told him $220, then would call back and change the price and say $ 300, and he would have to get corrected by being told you just told me $220. Then the man would say, "Oh yeah, right, $220. Mind you, this is only for 1 tire. I think that's way too much for 1 tire, but anyways, the car ended up being in the shop for 1 day (to change a brake for one tire). The man called in the morning and said, "These are the wrong brakes and rotors, so I used mine and changed the other one in the front as well, so it's gonna be $450 now." Auto Zone helped find the correct brakes and rotors for the car and even so NOBODY TOLD YOU TO DO THAT. Soon as the car is being driven back home, it starts to smoke. Now the coolant is empty (never ever had this broken before), so had to go to the gas station to get something for it, poured some into the car, and drove a little down, and it's smoking again and the coolant back empty, so it's a leak. I called the man multiple times once the car started smoking and he's denying everything.
