Took a ride around lot with mechanic, who immediately diagnosed my car's problems as loose motor mounts. They replaced all three, and discovered a leak in one of the brake lines, notified me, and then repaired them. But the motor mounts wore out in about two years, which shouldn't happen. read more

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO MY FIRST RESPONDER FAMILY ALONG WITH THE 294 MEMBERS OF THE NJACO OR TO ANYONE!!!!! As a second time customer with them I was treated extremally poorly & looked down on. I had originally leased a 2018 Ford Fusion with them. 09/19 I signed my lease over to someone else. When I went there, I was pushed into a 2019 Ecosport having to put $2000 to get at the payment I was aiming for. I checked the Ecosport out (didn't test drive it) Also, I didn't notice how small the backseat was being that the car was in the showroom. I signed off on everything & left with the SUV. Later that night when I finally put my son's car seat in the SUV & him along with it is when I then noticed how small the SUV was HIS LEGS ARE HITTING THE MIDDLE CONSOLE! & My son is your average size 2-year-old. By that time the dealership was closed & I had to wait till Monday to talk to them because the are closed on Sunday's. When I had gone back to the dealership, I was approached by the general manager John A. who off rip was rude & careless to my situation. I explained to him if he can please put me into a different vehicle for the safety of my son who was pretty much in the front seat with me. I WAS NOT ASKING FOR THE MONEY I PUT DOWN (BACK $2000) OR TO GO ELSEWHERE I was just looking to be put into something else EVEN IF THAT MEANT ME HAVING TO GO BACK TO A CAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MY SON! He told me absolute not that everything has been processed which later in the day I found out that was a lie. I then asked him to show me on the contract where it states that I cannot return the vehicle & he refused to show me. He then got up, stated how he has to get back to work & walked away from me. I left there in tears as a single mother worried about the safety of her son. Had him speak to my attorney he said he will work something out with me but that I had to return the following day to speak to the owner's son. I then went the following day (Tuesday) with my mother after waiting 30mins someone finally came out to speak to us another manager & said the owner's son can not help us that I will have to come back the following day to speak to John. Already at this point I am being jerked around & taking time off of work that I can not afford just to deal with this problem. I return Wednesday alone because I want to try & settle the situation without anyone else being involved because this all could have been avoid had he not just tried to help me out the first time. When I had arrived, I was told to sit down at an empty desk, at this point you can feel the tension as if all eyes are on me. John was not there yet when he did arrive, he looked at me & said "oh your back" & I replied yes. I was waiting for 40mins until I had to get up & ask him if he was going to talk to me & he said "yea when I'm done working" in the back of my mind I'm thinking to myself wow what great customer service skills he has to just be obnoxious. He then stated in order for me to return the SUV I will need to wait 30 days to use a trade in assit program which we agreed upon & went our separate ways. October 5th, I return, I meet with John & he asked if I am ready to move forward with the new deal & I said yes. He said I would only be able to get a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid at the monthly rate of $319 using the trade in assit program & Fire fighter program. I tried to see if we could negotiate on the price being that price would jump my payments up to $100 more a month which was out of my price rang but I was willing to do whatever I have to do for a safer car for my son. I test drove the car & sign off on the paper work. I paid my 1st month payment on the car & was told I will need to return October 7th to pick the car up. October 7th ; the dealership calls me and asked me if I was in college at this moment I am not in college but plan on returning next semester. They told me to send them any documentations I have from the college to see if they can apply the college program to the deal as well. When I arrive to the dealership, I am told that I was denied for that program & I will not be able to take the car because the finance department is requesting, I put down another $2000 & it will bring my payments to $260 a month. I already had put all the money I had into the SUV so there was no way I am able to come up with another $2000. I told John how could this be when I agreed to the monthly payment of $319 signed the contract for it & made the 1st month payment on it & he said " I am not the bank I don't know what to tell you" I then stated I will need to contact my attorney once I said that he got up & shouted " CALL THE CEO CALL WHOEVER I DON'T CARE" and walked away. I left & had to come back the following day to get my refund. I have filed a complaint with FORD, I have contacted Consumer affairs & I do plan on going to the news. Ok, after a little over a year and only 9480 miles, I noticed my front tires were wearing much more that the rear but wearing evenly as one would expect from a $52.000.00 dollar new vehicle that's been pampered. Besides that the tires were both peeling as if you took a potato peeler to it. This is not rocket science, anyone who looked at the tires, mileage, condition of this truck could see that it's a manufacture defect. I called Quality ford Auto Mall on rt. 17 Rutherford and spoke to a man called Kyle in service. I explained my situation and he told me to come in and they would take a look and assess it. I proceeded to drive in to their so called "quick Lane" the sign said drive in for quick service. Well I was sitting there for 15 minutes before anyone approached me. I was told to see the man up the ramp, after another 10 minutes along came Kyle. He walked out to check my vehicle and told me truck needed two new tires and a wheel alignment. Now I know our NJ roads are far from perfect, but I would know if I hit any deep pot holes or hit any curbs etc. Kyle said he was certain and after I insisted he when to fetch his manager Allan. Well Allan said that I must have hit pot holes because the truck was in desperate need of a wheel alignment Blah, Blah, Blah. He said and I quote " I get very annoyed when people say I haven't hit any pot holes" the nerve of this dude! Now he hands me an estimate of two new Hankook tires and a F_ _ king wheel alignment for $780.00 dollars! With a stone face. Needless to say I was very upset and asked him to at least pro rate the tires because after all the tire to me were defective. He answered take it or leave it. I said I guess I'm shit out of luck and after this experience, I would find another dealer to buy my next vehicle. So I left. At this point I took the truck to Hackensack Auto Spring and Wheel on River Street. A very reputable place for brakes and alignments. The mechanic said if I were to take your money for a wheel alignment I'd be stealing from you. The tires are wearing evenly and it's a new truck. Anyone can see that the tires are defective. I thanked him and left. At this point I called HanKook tires executive offices and explained my situation the woman on the phone gave me the name and address of an Authorized HanKook dealer nearby and they would inspect the tires and advise me. Joe at GJ's Auto Service in Elmwood park said, this is an easy one.... anyone can see that the two front tires are defective. He took some pictures and called HanKook and they authorized two new tires. So, Mr. Allan even Stevie Wonder could have seen that the tires were defective. This so called manager has no clue and should not be in customer service. Very unprofessional and has no knowledge other that ripping people off! You lost my business. I went in as they were the only ones willing to do a factory recall job. The man working the desk, who's in charge of the service center is great. Al it might have been. Since I was there for a an airbag recall, I got a full service done as well, and after 4 hours, I left in a great mood. Right away I noticed they cracked my drivers side mirror, not a huge complaint. I can fix it. After all, they were the only place that would do the airbag. After they said they couldn't read my computer codes, I told them, that's weird. Because my cheap Amazon one works fine and dandy. And their Ford Motors code reader didn't work. Odd, this should have been a red flag for me. But the guy at the desk is so pleasant, you forget that other people working there might be complete incompent, which I soon found out. As a week later the engine maintenance light came on, not the service soon light, but the get it checked out now light. A light that has never come on in the time I've owned my car and driven it coast to coast multiple times. I checked codes (which again, worked fine and dandy with my Amazon device), and my transmission wasn't getting pressure. I put more fluid and Lucas stop leak in, and topped it off every week to make sure I was okay, and my problem was solved. It was fixed in a band aid fix the issue for now kind of way. But a month later, my car began slamming into 1st gear, in a rough transition that made the car jump forward. Soon after I lost forth gear. So for a day i could only go 45 miles per hour, anything more was possible, but the rpm gauge would have maxed out and I'd burn my engine up. I took my car to a trasmission shop, (AAMCO in Hackensack) explaining I don't expect a fix, but for then to do a flush and maybe new fluid helps. AAMCO said the damage has been done but they'll look at it. Then an hour later the technician came out and told me whoever worked on my car last, never put the transmission filter back on. It'd leaked fluid since Quality Auto Mall worked on it. The transmission filled the pan, damaging components and flooding the solenoids. AAMCO managed to fix the situation. People should know I have a 2006 Ford Fusion with 197k miles. I check the codes after every oil change because I take care of my car. And despite all I've done with my car, it still runs perfect. But someone at Quality Auto Mall made the incompetent move of not replacing a filter and letting my car leak everywhere. Damaging transmission and who knows what else in the process of providing a service I paid for. I called, and was transferred to a women who I explained the entire issue to. After hearing me say, I want to know if they have cameras and I need to know who screwed this up, she said, that's not my department. I said, you're in the service department, she said, yeah, but not that part and she transferred me to someone who never answered. I left a message, I called again. No response. I still have yet to ever hear from them or find out how they managed to forget to put filters and plugs back. I would advice anyone with a car over 75,000 miles to never go here. Because right before I left, they told me I should seriously consider looking at one of their cars, because mine won't last much longer. And they were right, they have people who screw up that way ensuring the car doesn't last much longer. It's been months since this review, my car is fine as ever, and has another 4-5,000 miles on it. went to this place because I was overdue on my lease due to a work trip that lasted way longer than expected. I spoke to a sales person on day one who said he would call me back but never did. On day 2 I asked for a new sales personand explained exactly what I was looking to do that exact day. I sent over my credit application for the lease buyout at 9pm to be worked on the next day. On day 3 I texted him around 11am and he said he wasn't in for the day. I called in and asked for a manager and got to speak to Rob and John. In the beginning it was smooth sailing as the manager sounded more competent than the poor excuse of sales people they hired. That was all until it was time to discuss the pricing. The manager went on a rude rampage stating that he was doing me a "favor" and that he didn't need to disclose any information about my buyout amount because of the markup. Stating that they don't have to do anything they don't want to. I even asked him if he was good because it came out of nowhere as if he was on some kind of drugs or something. At some point I terminated the call because I wasn't getting anywhere. I called back and asked for a general manager the girl stated there are none, I asked for a different manager she said he was the only one. I even asked for an owner she said they never come in. I then asked her "if I have an issue where I was disrespected by your manager and want to deal with someone else you are telling me that you don't even have an HR person" she said no he is the only one you can talk to. I had a great experience in their service department which is why I felt they deserved my business. Little did I know they do not provide services but instead they call it favors. Mind you that's all after running my credit 3 times just to shut the door on me. All my calls are recorded so I plan on spending some time to get it to the right people. As someone that has worked in the car business at an executive level and still deal with customers on a daily, this was the worst experience I have personally encountered as I make it extremely easy because I was in their shoes at one point. If you want to just sign a contract without reading it, accept an interest rate without hearing it, be disrespect by people who should appreciate your business than this is the place for you. In 2011 I leased a ford escape from this dealer and dealt with Frank, he was wonderful but he is the only reason that I signed with Quality Auto Mall. While going in to finalize my deal, pick up my car and sign all of the paperwork...there was an issue and I was unable to pick up the car that night. One of the finance managers said that the person who needs to sign off had to leave and since I came in late (after work) that I should have tried to come in earlier. I was clearly upset since no one had called me to let me know what was going on, I left work early for a deal that should have gone through easily. Once the finance manager saw that I was not happy, he proceeded to tell me that "buying a car isn't like buying a new pair of shoes." After this sexist comment I was ready to leave, Frank knew that the deal was falling through and ended up offering me a remote starter for the car for free. Frank is the ONLY reason that I completed this deal. I should have known that I should not return to Quality Auto Mall based on my original experience with my signing my lease paperwork, but did want to give them another chance...they proved that my business was not appreciated there and I went elsewhere. My lease was ending soon so I wanted to go back to Quality Auto Mall for my options since this is where I originally bought my lease from. My original salesman Frank had retired so I was unable to see him. I met with Danny about what I was interested in and tried to find out a little bit of what my options were. From the moment I sat down, I did not feel settled with where this deal was going. Danny immediately tried to put me in a car that I did not want and was not forth coming with what the best option for me was. All he was concerned about was the sale and getting my business. There was so much back and forth with the finance office that most of my visit I was sitting alone at the desk waiting for him to come back with numbers. Once Danny realized that he hadn't sold me on what he had offered, he started talking to my boyfriend sitting next to me-probably thinking that maybe he could convince me to buy. As a young woman walking into a dealership, this is not the customer service that I expect. As the person buying the car, the salesman should talk directly to me about my options, not the man sitting next to me. Needless to say, once I felt disrespected I left the dealer and vow to never return there. In a separate experience about 6 months ago, my boyfriend was looking for a car and decided to stop at Quality Auto Mall. I am not sure who we spoke with, but once my boyfriend said that he was just trying to get numbers and see what was affordable to him, the salesman told him that he should not go car hunting on a Saturday and that most car dealers won't take him seriously since he is not ready to settle on a deal. The salesman then started asking me about my car to try and salvage any sort of deal possible...we proceeded to leave immediately. Perhaps there are some salesman at this dealer that do not operate like the men that I encountered, but I would highly suggest staying far away from Quality Auto Mall. Where do I even begin? My dad purchased a brand new Econoline 350 work van in 2006 from another Ford dealership. On... Oct 31st, 2009... the transmission went with only 32,000 miles on it! Luckily... when purchasing the vehicle, we were conned into buying the extended warranty. So... brand new truck... suckered into buying an extended warranty... faulty transmission... regular warranty had just expired a month earlier, if we did not have the extended warranty, we'd have to pay the $3500 to repair the transmission. You may be wondering where I'm going with this? It's simple... This place fixed the transmission. Real quick... what's today's date? Dec 19th, 2013 On Dec 12th, 2013... The transmission went again!!!! I called and spoke to the manager, Thomas or Tommy the following day. I explained to him, the transmission on my dad's truck just broke and it was previously repaired at his facility. He brought up the fact that it wasn't under the extended warranty anymore. I said I understand that, but it was fixed there a few years ago, is there something that can be done? Maybe it wasn't installed correctly. He said, that the van was fixed on Oct 31st, 2009 and that over 3 years have passed and there is nothing that he can do. He said that if the transmission wasn't installed correctly, the van would've returned 2 months later. I simply said, "Can they just look at it or something? I mean, my dad is a good man. All his life he's payed things without question. Now, the transmission that was repaired there, under warranty just went again. Something has to be wrong? The truck has almost has 65,000 miles on it. You mean to tell me that it's normal for a transmission to break again?" His actual words... "I don't know what to tell you? Is he over loading the truck or something? You can bring it in, but we're going to have to charge you a diagnostic fee." I said, listen... if there's nothing that you can do, fine... but let me talk to my dad and i'll get back to you. Now... I'm a little annoyed at this point that he can't help us out... but that's business right? Who am I anyways? I'm not some big shot or anything... I just write reviews here. What really ticked me off was this... After talking to my dad, he said you know what... I'll just get it repaired. Call the guy, and get a price. I call Thomas on Dec 16th, 2013. I get the receptionist. I asked to speak to Thomas... She transfers me and I get his voice mailbox. I hang up... I call back a half hour later... Same lady, I asked to speak to Thomas again, she said... just leave him a voicemail, HE ALWAYS CALLS BACK!!! I leave a nice voicemail saying we want to come in and get the transmission fixed and to please call me back so we can bring the truck in. NOTHING!!! I call back again the next day... NOTHING!!! So in closing... They stink when it comes to helping customers out! They don't return calls... and I feel that they really are taking advantage of my father on something that they are at fault on. Maybe I'm just defending my dad, but I'm just speechless at how this place acted. We were forced to go to another place to get the transmission fixed. How pathetic! read more

The only reason it's one star is because I had to choose at least one! Bottom line, stay far away from this dealership! There are plenty of others fairly close who will not be so deceptive! The verbal agreement we had was not reflected in the contract and unfortunately for me I didn't realize it until a few days later. We purchased a car that only has limited production, so we knew we would pay what was being asked to get it. The dealer added $5,000 on the sticker price! Who does that!? The reason they did that was to make up for the "$5,000 over value" they were "giving" us for our trade. Stay away from this dealership at all cost. I had no issues purchasing my car but the service department is another story. It took them 5 tries to actually fix a problem with my transmission over the summer... the first to times they insisted that nothing was wrong. I began having a problem with my driver power window in the cold and they took it for a day last week only to tell me that it was not doing it when they had the car that day, so there was nothing wrong (even though I told them when I dropped it off that it was not happening that day). The window started doing it again today and I dropped the car off to them and they didn't even check to see that it wasn't working. Sells cars that have damage prior accidents and says they were only in minor bumper scratching incidents such as backed up into a pole at the mall or a garage. Then when you take it off their lot and onto the highway, panel moldings start falling off causing other cars behind you to sue you for damage to their cars. I always use this dealership for oil changes, tires, and brakes on my Ford, but having the service department rep lie to me really makes me hesitant to continue bringing my truck there for routine maintenance any longer. I brought my truck in because the check engine light was on. They told me they had to charge me $99 just to find out what was wrong. I was hesitant to do this until I was also told that I could apply that same $99 to the cost of my repair if required. So after the diagnoses was done, I was told the repair would cost me $600. I said no problem and that I will come back and schedule the repair with them. At this time I was still told I could put the $99 diagnostic charge towards the $600 repair. When I later returned at another future visit to schedule the repair, I was told that I wasn't able to apply the $99. I went looking for a cargo van and the first sales guy was trying to get me to buy something I didn't want just because he didn't have the configuration I needed. He didn't even bother to let me test drive one of the models he did have in stock. I left and threw away his business card. Then the following week I called to speak to a different sales rep. I told him what I wanted and it took him all day to do a simple search and that's after I texted him. He said I couldn't get the van in the configuration I wanted. BS I found and bought the exact van I was looking for that same night. Steer clear from this dealership. Nothing but rookies here and poor service. You come to the dealership and it's all a myth. I called into the sales office they sale they are doing a sale on the ford fusion. I asked if they could give it to me for $150 a month. She said no problem. I came in the sales manager Mike is a Con. They gave me 3 different prices on the same car all in one day. I was looking at buying the new ford for $150 a month they said it was not possible they said the lowest was $175 a month. I told the sales rep if he could get me the car a $150 a month i would take it today. He then says i could but let me show you the car i agreed. He brings it around and says i can do it for $150 a month but for 10 k miles a year. I then said that i might not use all 12k miles a year. I said you dont know my driving habits. Then says for an extra $12 a month he can get me 12k a year. Then i said im ok i would like to look around. He said please give me one more chance to talk to mike and get you what you want. Mike comes over with a piece of paper and to explain to me why he now wants $185 a month for the same car i came in for @ $150 a month. Then i told him no way. He then said to my i bet you pay more a month for my phone bill then $185 a month. I was completely at shock he would ever say that. I immediately got up and left. I had a great experience with the service staff. They were so helpful, friendly and I just overall had a nice experience. My wife and I tried calling the dealership to discuss returning my car for almost one month. Nobody returned our calls. We were told in January or February that the car could be returned in April, no penalty. In the meantime, we purchased a car from another dealership. When we finally got through to someone (weeks later) they said they would only take the car back in April if we leased our purchased with Ford...NEVER mentioned that previously. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a Ford. I was a customer for SIX years, leasing my last two cars with Quality Auto Mall, and this is how I was treated and LIED to. read more

Not sure why others are saying what a great service experience they had here. Maybe people that work there. Anyway I made an appointment to bring my vehicle in, they kept if for 4 days before calling me and saying it needed parts to be ordered. So I picked it up, scheduled to bring it back in for a whole day based on their request. A week and a half later they said it was ready. Picked it up and only half the things were fixed. Left it for another 4-5 days. The worst service I have ever encountered in 30 years. Go to Hackensack Ford. read more

All lies!!!! I spoke with a representative prior to going into the dealership and was very clear about what car I wanted and that I was currently in a lease. Was told of a special lease offer and that I wouldn't have to put anything down. Everything I was told on the phone was a lie!! Just a dishonest game to get you in the door!!! read more

Service department is horrible. The managers running it are extremely helpful and accommodating but the work being done is not reliable. I had a simple oil change done and my car was smoking when I got home because they left the cap off after the oil change. They also on a different occasion left the cap off after changing my brake fluid. Both situations could have been dangerous. Definitely not going back there for service again. read more

Consumer Beware! Please do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this service center. They are the most dishonest and untrustworthy shop I've ever dealt with. My story starts simple, I took my 2012 Mustang Premium to have the airbag recall done but also had an issue with my climate unit not powering on from time to time. I asked Quality to check that as well and they call me days later to tell me that they have to call in a water specialist because there is water leaking into the evap. Housing. The service manager told me he would call me back to let me know what the issue is before they do the work, however this is not what happened. I called in to find out the status on my car and they hit me with an almost $500.00 bill that I disputed but ended up paying a slightly less amount. As awful as this was in itself I was not so upset with this because they lessened the amount. The thievery began when I pick the car up and notice that all of the sudden my SYNC system doesn't work. I turned the car around and brought the car right back to them and brought this issue to their attention and also told them that I was talking on SYNC when I dropped the car off, they said ok let us take the car and figure out what happened and they would call me the next day. I didn't get a call until 2 days later from a guy telling me that the APIM is not responding, I tell them it was responsive when I dropped it off but they said no it was just coincidence that it would just stop working. So looking at the issue it is: (1) They had a water guy spraying water in the unit to test for leaks. (2) Performed wire cleaning and applied dielectric grease and (3) Had a functional unit when they initially took the vehicle from me. They didn't take responsibility for the damage they clearly did to me vehicle. Instead they want to fight with me that these things happen and they are doing me a favor by good willing the job and charging me $100.00 as a deductable. I hope that FORD Motor Company also sees this as coincidence since they paid the bulk of this bill. I am upset at the way they treated me as unintelligent, Still crooked me for over $400.00 of work they did without authorization and the unethical way they were able to get a Ford warranty company to cover the bulk of the expense on something that was the fault of the dealership. read more

I don't know why anyone would buy a car here. I went to the showroom and told the salesperson that i was interested in buying a new ford focus. The salesperson told me that he had none in stock and that the 3 cars that were on their way are already sold. I said ok and asked him to let me know when they arrived so i could at least look at the car i wanted to buy. He said he couldn't let me see the car. I have never had a salesperson try so hard to not sell me a car. I called the sales manager and left a polite message. I did not get a return call. I live 2 miles from this dealer and will never return. I will probably still buy the car, just not here read more

I was experiencing engine misfire on a Sunday, so I had little choice but to bring it to Quality Automall Ford in Rutherford, NJ (closest Ford dealership to me) Monday morning at 7:30am without an appointment. Service Manager Carlos Santana was very courteous in getting my car checked out within two hours and arranged a shuttle to take me home since the repair will take some time. The shuttle driver Frankie was very friendly and very professional. However, there were numerous issues that arose with the dealership's service after that initial pleasant experience. First, Carlos promised that the car would be done by 11am or noon on Tuesday, so my wife told her boss that she would leave work early in order to help me pick up the car late Tuesday afternoon. Well, Tuesday noon came and went without any call, so I called at 3pm or so; Carlos was not there, so I left a voicemail. Came 4:20pm, no return call, so I called him again; I was able to reach his this time, and he told me that the car is not done yet but he was 99% sure that it will be done by 6pm, so I should still plan on coming in. With that assurance, my wife left work early at 4:30pm as planned. Fast forward to 6:05pm, Carlos called me and said the repair was done, but they did not take a chance to test drive it, so they want to keep the car overnight. When I told him about my wife having to take off early for car pickup, he said that will call me Wednesday around 11am when the car was done and whether it was ok to send someone to pick me up at that time. On that Wednesday, 11am rolled around without a call, and by now I was used to his poor communications. At 1pm, I called him, and he said that the car was done and I could come pick up any time I want, obviously forgotten that he had promised someone to pick me up. Finally, at 1:45pm, he called to let me know that Frankie is already on his way to my house to pick me up, who was his usual friendly self. Paying the bill, which was painful as car repairs usually would be, gave me a very slight reprieve in that they discovered another small component that needed to be replace that they did not see on Monday; since they did not quote it, they did not charge me for that part. I drove around for 20 to 30 minutes just to make sure all was well before I went home. So all in all, they did their job well as far as I could see thus far, but it seemed that they have much to improve in terms of communication with their customers, and relaying proper expectations in terms of time needed to perform the work. read more
