Our pool enclosure was damaged during the last hurricane so we needed to replace it. I found Chad (Quality 1st Aluminum) by happenstance when I talked to an employee of a pool/solar company, and he said Chad had done his pool enclosure, and was extremely pleased with his work. Before contacting Chad I asked the two larger companies for an estimate. Both estimates were outrageous, and out-of-line with my research as to what a new pool enclosure should cost. Chad came out soon after I called, and spent a good deal of time talking to me about options for the enclosure. We chose a more modern design, something the other two companies didn't even discuss or offer as options (apparently). Also Chad's estimate was much more reasonable than the other estimates. But we didn't go by price alone; Chad's professionalism, knowledge, and timeliness was impressive and reassuring. During the entire process Chad kept me apprised of the status of the project. Although the permitting process and architectural sign off took some time (government is slow), once in place the tear down and build up went quickly. We now have a beautiful, much stronger, pool enclosure. I wish I was able to post photos. We give Chad and Quality 1st Aluminum our highest recommendation. Can't speak highly enough of him and his crew! PS: I'm surprised at the single star review on here. I'm guessing that's a mistake; why would someone in San Francisco CA hire a Palm Coast FL company? I never leave bad reviews, but after my experience with this company I have to speak up. They came to me with a good price and I gave them two jobs -- building my courtyard and backyard porches -- but after they finished, the work started failing within a year and a half. Both porches leak and flood every time it rains, and for three years I kept hearing the same promises that it was under warranty and they would come back to fix it. Even the owner came and admitted it needed to be repaired, yet nothing was ever done. Whenever I asked questions, they acted like I was being rude and just ignored me. I have all the proof -- emails, texts, videos -- and still they do not care. This company gives you a good price at the beginning, but after they get your business they disappear. Enough is enough -- I do not recommend them at all. read more

This is an update review of Quality 1st Aluminum. Even after getting a letter/e-mail from the BBB with my complaint the company still haven't gotten in touch with me except for the one phone call after the BBB contacted them. The owner gave me some BS about 40/45 mile an hour wind is why they didn't come out that is such BS. I had to hire another company (COASTAL SCREENING) to come out to fix the issue and we went a head and re-screen the whole cage again. Didn't want to wait and see if the rest of the poor quality workmanship comes apart at a later date. The screen now does not waver when we have a breeze as before. Love COASTAL SCREENING and the beautiful job COASTAL SCREENING did to fix our issues with the cage. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ALMOST 4 WEEKS and QUALITY 1ST ALUMINUM still hasn't contracted us. STAY AWAY FROM THE COMPANY, I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH. read more

Quality 1st Aluminum is not about quality, the only quality about this company is they tell you what you want to hear and that's it. While working on my lanai install, the workers showed up not wea shirts and it seemed they trying to figure out what to do, one of the workers was standing on top of the ladder, which is very unsafe, and wobbling trying to put screws in. I took a picture of him just in case he fell because I was not going to be a victim of insurance claim. I've been trying to get them out for warranty work and it seems they are ignoring me. BUYER-BEWARE: I am not one to just complain as there is some good in most situations. However, I find that a lot of companies in the St. Johns/Jax area choose not to respond on warranty issues thinking the problem will just fix itself or go away if it's ignored. Quality 1st Aluminum installed my patio screening as part of a pool installation. I thought the job was well done. I have a problem where tiny black beads are accumulating around and in the pool. These black beads have discolored by Travertine tiles and only the area under the screen. It's only been 6 months since the installation and I reported the problem to them. I simply asked if the screening could be the reason. I can't hear from them. I sent emails and spoke with them a few weeks ago when they said they would get back to me. I have tried following up via email and leaving voice messages, but cannot hear anything from them. I have had other issues fixed by them, but not sure why I feel I'm being ghosted. I have also reached out to the company they worked for (Pool 'N Spas of Central Florida) but also, and as usual, no response. A Pool Inspection company just confirmed the screen is depositing the Black beads. And you wonder why people have to resort to involving attorneys. BUYER-BEWARE. read more

We have been waiting since September to get our screen repaired and a screen for our door. We were told there was a problem getting the screening until November. No problem. However it is now mid-February and nothing. Calls are returned sporadically and twice we were told that Chad would be here. We waited all day. No Chad, no phone call he wasn't coming and our call was not returned. Disappointed. read more
