Really, RUN TO THIS MUSEUM IF VISITING LISBON! Never have I been to a more intriguing and educational museum as an adult. Whoever created this museum deserves all the kudos and respect as it combines the education on the history of Lisbon, challenges you to place yourself in the shoes of citizens back then, and also informs you on the details of earthquakes, preparation, and safety. While doing so, it gives you the context, facts, and creates a 4D experience to help you understand. It was truly an amazing experience and on of my favorite things ever did during our time in Lisbon.
All of the staff seem to be bi-lingual and the experience is suitable to multiple languages. There's even a feature to swipe QR codes at each piece of information to pull up that bit of info on your phone browser to listen to on headphones through your phone or at a later time.
If you are visiting Lisbon, going here should not be a question, but a MUST on your list!
My only complaint is that you are somewhat rushed through all the information they are supplying to you. There is not enough time to read all the information if you so choose. They also give you wristbands to use throughout the museum in which information on each segment of your choosing can be emailed to you. Unfortunately, this didn't seem to be followed through as I did not alter any of the emails. read more
