The course don't match the price. This could be a very nice course. If it was maintained better.

I have played at this course many times but today, Sunday, March 22nd was quite possibly the worst…read moreexperience I have ever had at this facility. Whoever the Marshall that was on duty needs to be spoken to, and maybe even terminated. We started our round with four walkers in front of us and two walkers behind us and I had purchased two teetimes because I had five people. At at the turn, we stopped at the clubhouse to get some lunch and had to wait for our food to be cooked. While we were eating, the Marshal came in and told us we needed to get back out on the course immediately that this was not a sit down and eat facility, it was a grab and go. We left without arguing, but when I looked at my watch, I realized we had only been on the course for two hours, and when we got to the 10th T box, the walkers were still in the middle of the fairway. We ended up finishing our 18 hole round exactly at the four hour mark while following two sets of walkers. His attitude during the turn set a very poor example for my two boys that were golfing with me. If you're going to serve cook to order food, then the Marshall needs to take a chill pill. That is the only reason for the two star review today. The course is beautiful, the facilities are great, and normally I have an exceptional experience with all of the staff, but whoever was working today was horrible.

the course isnt bad, a lot of straights, the marshal is the problem, real dick, probably the worst…read moremarshals ive had to deal with, rushed us to start, then got upset cause one of our players was sharing a bag with someone, later when we sat down to eat lunch told us -- and i quote, "Are yall the three?" us: "yeah?" him: "Are yall done or are yall going to hole ten" us: "hole ten" him: "well you dont have time to sit and eat, grab and go" ... what..? like excuse me, we are going fast, got to midpoint a whole 30 minutes early. We had to wait for our food in the first place.. and so we were eating after doing 9 holes, not even holding anyone up, dont try to tell me we are being a nuisance. Either figure out how to say that respectfully or just shut the hell up. Again, the course wasnt bad, game went well, this isnt against The Links' course, but the marshal seems to ruin the whole experience, this comes from my whole group, aswell as someothers i overheard talking about his attitude.

I spoke with the person over events about having an event there. She told me that the time that I…read morewanted wasn't available, but there was a later time that day that was available. She also told me that she would send me a menu. I gave her my email address and ensured that she had the correct email address. After not receiving an email with the menu after one day, I called and left her a voicemail just to ensure that it was sent. In spite of that, I didn't get a phone call back. Then, I waited until later in the week to follow up via email. The person even ignored my email. The fact that I was ignored is really disheartening because I wanted to celebrate my upcoming milestone birthday there. I've reached out to them years ago, and whoever helped me was so accommodating. I even went up there to tour the place. I don't understand what happened this time.

In an age where dining out is as much a luxury as it is a necessity, the unspoken pact between…read morerestaurant and patron teeters on a simple truth: value should mirror cost. The sizzle of a steak on the grill, the tender flake of fresh fish, the hearty richness of pork or veal--these are not mere ingredients but promises of satisfaction, especially when the bill climbs higher. Yet too often, plates arrive with portions that whisper rather than proclaim, leaving diners to wonder where their money went. A sliver of beef drowned in sauce, a scant scattering of seafood atop a mound of rice--it's not enough. Not for the price, not for the hunger, not for the expectation. Restaurants, in their pursuit of profit or prestige, must remember the primal joy of a meal that fills both belly and soul, where protein reigns generous and bold. Beef that spills over the edge, pork that demands a second bite, fish and seafood piled high--these are the markers of a fair exchange. This is a call to the kitchens of the world: let the portions rise to meet the price, and let the proteins lead the charge, for in abundance lies loyalty, and in fairness, trust.

What an amazing staff and all around great experience! Came here a couple of Saturdays ago and had…read morea wonderful time playing golf with my father. I was greeted by the two gentlemen inside as I smelled the wonderful aroma of sausage being cooked on the stove. The guys behind the counter were polite and wished us a great round. We went over to the snack area and had very attentive service. The woman behind the counter was so pleasant and told us to make sure to get a "world-famous" BLT at the turn. All the carts were really nice and super clean with scorecards and pencils in them. The two marshalls were really welcoming and pleasant to talk with. They let us know on the putting green our tee time was next. We got a little practice in on the putting green which is in great condition. We really enjoyed listening to the relaxing music on the overhead speakers as we were putting. My father even recognized some of the soft jazz songs being played (let me say jazz is his thing, not mine). We were told that they recently had a new irrigation system put in the golf course and it really shows. The maintenance staff really does an excellent job. The course is in top notch condition and some of the crew we saw were very kind. They even waved and complemented our drives. I had a much better time at Galloway than any other course in Memphis. This place is first class all the way. The only thing I wish was better was my score! Ha! Oh, and we did come in at the turn to get a BLT and it wasn't just good, it was amazing! It was packed with bacon and the lettuce and tomatoes were super fresh. We sat around like two of the guys watching ESPN's College Game Day. Hey, and I forgot to add, they put on grips for your clubs here. I mean, this is pretty much a country club without all the expensive fees and snobby people. Look, if you're gonna play golf in Memphis, you have got to come to Galloway. It's such a great atmosphere to be surrounded by. Our round was 4 hours on a Saturday morning. The starter was efficient with getting players out on time, even the ones who showed up late. Like I said, from the employees inside, to the grounds staff, and the employees outside in this heat, Galloway is first class all the way.

Great greenery on the golf course with a decent amount of holes to play. Although the golf course…read moreis quite beautiful, the inside restaurant, restrooms, and clubhouse area could use some new renovations. Previous Memphis Mayor W.
