Review Visit: July 26th, 2016…read more A mountain of shenanigans has been had here. Disclaimer; I've been to Mt. Hawley to play mini-golf quite a few times. It's one of the casual things I like to do to spend an afternoon hanging with my friends. Plus, who doesn't have fun playing mini-golf? Especially if your friends are in to shenanigans. Matt, Tim, and I came here in late 2011. This was the year before I started to travel as my main hobby. When we came here, we had intentions of just playing mini-golf and that was in... but once we go inside, we knew we were going to stick around for some shenanigans. Before we even paid for our clubs and ball, we got distracted by the little arcade they had set up inside. We probably spent more time than we expected playing the games and winning those cheap candy prizes from some of the machines. Eventually, we worked our way to the mini golf area. It's been a few years since I've been here so my memory is a bit sketchy of the layout. But this place has your typical 18 holes. I believe the 18th hole is one where you can try to get you ball in a certain area for a free game. I can't say I ever won that prize but the price of admission is cheap enough that you don't feel bad for making a crap shot. The course itself is pretty spacious and sprawling. Each hole feels distinct and away from the next one that you never feel like you will be bumping in to people playing at the adjoining hole. I've had that happen a few other places. During my visit in 2011, I remember making a hole-in-one shot on the 15th hole. I took a victory shot with the number out of excitement. I suck at mini-golf so to get a hole-in-one was a miracle. Or black magic. Or luck. It was one of those 3 things. I came back in 2016 to add this place to my Travel List and... I almost got another hole-in-one on the 15th hole. How awesome would that have been! I did some close on a few of the other holes but no dice. My girlfriend and I get pretty competitive during a game of mini-golf. We usually make a bet before we begin for ice cream and I usually end up having to pay. At least its a delicious loss. They do offer bowling here as well. I like to dabble in a game or two but I've honestly never played here. There is also a bar but I've also never used it, so I don't have much to say beyond that. Should I get to experience either of these two things, I will update this post with information/photos. Mt. Hawley is one of my favorite places to go for mini-golf. I'm not sure why but there's just something about this place that draws me to it. Maybe because it's usually not busy and they have some arcade games to play before or after partaking in mini-golf and/or bowling. Time to text my friends and see if anyone wants to beat me in mini-golf.

I believe this location has been recently remodeled. The lanes were nice and clean with plenty of…read moreseating at tables nearby. This was midnight bowling which meant pretty loud music and black lights/colored lights so it made bowling a bit harder than normal. The scorekeeping screens were still old-fashioned but the shoes seemed brand new. It was $6 a person to bowl until midnight. There were a lot of security/cops loitering around which was nice, I have read and heard about a lot of crime here but it was very calm this night. Draw-Backs 1. Midnight bowling ends at 11:30pm. They will shut off your lanes at 11:30pm without warning but will turn them back on if you call them on the pink phone or walk up and ask. 2. The bar is staffed by one bartender even though she serves the bowling side and the entire bar on the other side. Can be a long wait so I recommend pitchers of beer.

It took them 40 minutes to get my cheeseburger and I had to miss my sons bowling because of that. The workers had such bad attitudes. I also watched them spill food on the floor and instead of picking it up, they just walked around it. The back kitchen looked absolutely disgusting. I won't be giving this place another dime.

Dozer Park is a decent baseball field. We've been here a few times now over the past 10 years and…read moreeach time we enjoyed the game. Perks include a lot of seating to choose from and 360 degree access to walk around the entire field. Regular seats, upper level boxes, lawn seating and an outfield table area offer several ways to see the game. Beyond the outfield is a children's bounce house area with other activities for the little guys. About the only setback here are the concessions. Many stands were 'closed' on a Saturday night and many food items weren't available at the stands that were open. Or as one attendant told me..'we ain't got none'..when I asked for a pretzel. Uh, okay. There are very few food and drink choices even when attendance is at its highest. That aside, parking right next to the field is a nice perk and some of the nearby streets have opened new restaurants.

I LOVE THIS STADIUM!…read more I am especially a fan of the dancing corns! Lots of grass space and the last time we were here, there were a couple of families with dogs, so this looks like a dog friendly park (or at least the grassy part). There isn't a bad seat in the house and everyone seems pretty friendly. Plenty of promos during the game and lots of firework nights. I haven't had a chance to try the food, but people around me have, and it seems to be typical baseball stadium fare.
