This golf place is pretty good. I took lessons there. They have beginner lessons for kids, but if…read moreyou want to continue after that you will need private lessons. It is pretty cheap to play their nine-hole course-I think $5 for adults and if they have a kid with them the kid can get in free. They have various lessons, which I will have to call them to check these out further, because they don't say on their website. They have a practice range and they sometimes give kids that take lessons there a free golf bag with everything but the golf balls. This is the only place I know in Peoria that offers golfing lessons, but that is probably because I haven't looked anywhere else. I have been reasonably satisfied with this golf course and its lessons. Overall, this golf course is satisfactory.

We use to love coming to this golf course for there tournaments like the funky monkey, and Heart of…read moreDragon Tournaments and many more. We will never be back after the funky monkey tournament a where a Drunk Team came in accusing another team of cheating which I know most of them and can honestly say they would never cheat. To make things worse they came in after hearing them accusing of cheating since the windows were open and they were out on the patio and a fight about broke out. Corey is supposed to be the manager and he just sat there in a chair and watched it all go down and didn't say nothing. You could clearly see Corey was favoring the drunk team because they come out there all the time and play and the other team only comes out there for about 5 tournaments a year. Corey supposed to set a better example with being the PGA Pro and the manager of the golf course but after this tournament a lot of people lost a lot of respect for him for not even mediating the tournament and telling them guys to shut the hell up. What's even more messed up is last year eight under one it. This year 10 under won it. I can see if somebody came in with 16 under or something stupid like that but if you're within a couple Strokes then I'm not accusing anybody of cheating. Corey needs to be a better manager or resign stuff like this shouldn't be going on for a charity event at a City Course. When you got drunk teams that come in and being all belligerent like that you should be able to come in as a manager put your foot down and tell them to pipe it down or ask them to leave buddies or not.

His refs were great too. They had a sense of humor and weren't against interacting with the teams. They also had a food truck, but I'm not sure if that was for the tournament or if they usually have one out here. I also don't know much about their open play aside from what I've seen. It seems like they only have one open play field (so far?), but it is huge! Looks pretty fun to play on too. :) In regards to the airball field, they also have one right now, but they played each match split-deck, which kept everyone's head in the game better and longer. It also helped the matches go faster. Ultimately, this paintball park is great and if you're in the neighborhood, i recommend checking them out for a day or two.

For being so outdated and not wanting outside drinks brought in but not offering any beverages us single adults go for, the gorgeous sights our second half of nine spawned a completely different take on this course. I was unprepared for the rolling tree framed vista enough to make any Midwesterner boasting of their backyard blush. I am still new to this silly real estate discussion disguised as a sport however it began to grow on me being able to slow down and take in the scenes. We did time our outing perfectly, right off a week of excessive rain, everything was brilliantly green and putting through golden hour helped us ignore the amateur arrangement of this setup. I'm sure this is near the bottom of options for professionals and sorely needs to fix those eye sores along with enhancing their drink options to happily treat more appetites. But try Fairlakes with low expectations! The pleasant surprise will feel right, you'll find a simple and enticing course, an easy going and friendly staff that's clean of any smug golf attitude, and fair prices to give beginners like me a good chance.
