We then asked another person, letting him know what the first person said, and he just said "I don't know". We continued to try and find shoes and again it was like we were bothering them to get shoes from the back. I know that this isn't a career or a glamorous role, but it was frustrating and we went across the street to the new Academy sports. If you don't want to train or change staff, maybe just put the shoes out so that they don't have to "find them" in the back.

This place used to be great, but now they are all about aggressive upselling. On recent visits,…read morethey have required that you wear their branded socks to try on a pair of shoes. They then offer you the socks that you are already wearing at half off of the never mentioned $17 sticker price. If that wasn't bad enough on its own, they put custom inserts in the shoes before you even try them on. I was suckered into buying two pairs of these, one for each of my kids. Each kid wore these inserts exactly once before complaining about how uncomfortable they were and then swapping them out for the shoes' original liners. We will buy our shoes elsewhere in the future because I do not feel like being screwed over for unneeded socks and shoe liners when I am already paying a premium price for their shoes.

It is pretty cheap to play their nine-hole course-I think $5 for adults and if they have a kid with them the kid can get in free. They have various lessons, which I will have to call them to check these out further, because they don't say on their website. They have a practice range and they sometimes give kids that take lessons there a free golf bag with everything but the golf balls. This is the only place I know in Peoria that offers golfing lessons, but that is probably because I haven't looked anywhere else. I have been reasonably satisfied with this golf course and its lessons. Overall, this golf course is satisfactory.
