Played here on Sunday 8/11/2019, booked a 11:51 tee time the night before. When we arrived it was raining so we asked in the pro shop if they could check their radar and give us an update, he showed us the radar loop on his computer and said it was just about over. We were still a little hesitant but he said "I will charge you for 9 holes and if it rains then we can issue a rain check" great! The gentleman even went out and dried off the cart seats for us. We played 18 ( we went in and paid for the second nine after we finished) and we never saw anyone either in front of or behind us the entire round and it never did rain again. Played in 3 hours ( two some). Loved the course, bunkers could use a little love but all in all a great day at Metamora Fields- I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Peoria area & locals too. After our round we had a late lunch & a cocktail - food & drink were good. Service from both the bar & wait staff was fantastic. Thank you for some really wonderful customer service! Great food and an excellent golf course! I appreciate how hospitable and helpful staff are. They do a very good job of hosting large banquets in the upstairs room which provides beautiful vistas especially near sunset. read more

Great course! Each hole is unique and there are multiple tee boxes to use, based on your skill level. The pace of play is very good. The course is always in good to great condition. Very nice clubhouse and friendly people throughout. Highly recommend. read more

Rudest bartenders. They wouldn't smile, weren't kind when serving drinks. I'm of drinking age and was completely disrespected when they were watching me and took my drink from my hand. Okay one this is a wedding and two, leave me the hell alone. Don't have your wedding reception here if you want your guests to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. read more

Wedding reception was perfect, food was excellent drinks were cold and priced right. This is the place to hold your wedding reception as the manager went out of her way to help our event go smooth. I would do it all over again with no hesitations or changes. And it's a beautiful place. I don't golf so I can't speak to that. read more

I have played Metamora Fields quite a few times this year and last. It is definitely a good option in the Peoria area. I played this past Saturday and decided to write this review. The course a very dry right now because of the drought, but even so, it is a good play. I had a great time and so will you. Have played golf at Metamora Fields many time since is opened. The course is good, however the employees are rude and not caring. Have also eaten here a few times and stopped eating her over a year ago, so thought I would try it and see if improved. Actually it is worse that it was a year ago, chicken was overly greasy, service terrible, got an order to go and shoud have checked it out, instead of the advertise dinner salad got cole slaw, advertised bread , got no bread, assumed I'd get some plastic utenisisle and got none. Will avoid the dinning room as the food is not good and avoid the golf course because they don't know the meaning of good service read more

Played here on Aug. 21, 2016. Tees were in good shape, fairways were in great shape. Greens were in OK Shape and the Bunkers were terrible. Not sure why the bunkers couldn't have been raked at the beginning of play that day. Did I want to play from a bunker? No. But I would expect for a $60 Greens Fee you'd find the bunkers raked. I'm not even that concerned about the quality of the sand or what appears to be poor drainage, but why couldn't they be raked? Another issue. It was a hot August day. We teed off at 9 a.m. There was no cart service for drinks, nor was there a ranger to keep players moving. We were treated to a 5 hour 15 minute round and the group in front of us finished a full two holes behind the group in front of them. If I'm being honest, it appears that there was 1 employee for the entire course and he was in the pro shop. Been there a half dozen times over the years. Doubt I'll return until I see evidence of better services for the money. read more

I played Metamora Fields on both the 4th and 5th of July 2013. I was visiting Peoria for the holiday and decided to seek out an alternative to Weaver Ridge. In fact it was golfers I met at Weaver Ridge who all strongly suggested that I play Metamora Fields. It is a great links layout that but for the missing seaside provides one with a Long Island, Cape Cod, or Carolina coast golf experience. The course in impeccably maintained and the greens are very fast but true. However to score well, the shots into the green must come in with height and biting spin. A good score is available provided that one chooses a tee that is appropriate for their skill level......and of course keeping the ball in play and out of the fescue also helps. All of the holes are interesting and the par 3 holes are particularly very strong. The staff is very friendly and exude the hospitality that the Mid-West is known for. The design of this course will have you planning another round as soon as you walk off of the 18th hole. read more

We attended a wedding reception just this last weekend and I have to say the service and food were outstanding!!! Nothing could have been better. If we ever get back there we'd love to try out the golf course and have some more of the wonderful food! I live in Arizona and came back home to visit family. We decided to play this course because it was close to Washington, but I will say that we would have driven 45 minutes to play this course. It is one of the best courses I have ever played in terms of quality and service, and I play most of my rounds playing some top courses in AZ (Quintero, McCormick Ranch, Wigwam resort, Wildhorse Pass, .....etc). The only thing some might nitpick is the lack of mature trees, but there is nothing they can do about that right now. As this course ages I'm guessing it will just get more challenging. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you haven't played this course you need to get out and play it. read more
