Bad, my kids were going to be jumped. The jumpers left with a warning and my kids had more of a detention. Horrible treatment.

Also the food there really is terrible, Like inedible. The ladies in the front office are always rude to their students as well which is unprofessional. Also i don't like how big this school is too.

At Clovis East, cliques and style seem to mean everything, and quite a few teachers turn a blind eye to the jocks' silly and sometimes violent antics just to keep them in football. The dress code in all Clovis Schools is ridiculous, long hair on guys is prohibited [lower than eyebrows, top of ears, or middle of neck], and all piercings are forbidden for guys and ears-only for girls. The teaching staff is pretty abysmal, not counting the few teachers that really do try. Among those select few are: The social science teacher Cameron Fong Science teacher Kristi Whittaker Zoology teacher Randy Ray Math teacher Jim Hurley Social Science teacher Adam Higgenbotham Photography teacher Kristi Bolin -I am probably forgetting some others, and these names are by no means in order. These teachers are the only reason the school gets a 3/5, and if they were not there, this would be a one out of five.

As a long time yelper, i can honestly say, this place is pretty good. I mean does it have room for improvement, sure, what place does not but that's the beauty of growth. The principal, Mrs. Bonjorni is a bully and displays favoritism on how she treats some children. This can be verified by other parents. The children's tablets were not protected from access to inappropriate websites. A boy in my son's class told him about a website and then said don't look it up and out of curiosity he did anyway. I couldn't have been prepared that at a Christian school my son and all the 3rd graders in his class would have unsupervised access to adult websites and than the heartbreak and hard conversations I had to have with my 3rd grader. He was exposed to an inappropriate website at a Christian school with the schools tablets. During Friday freetime he was with a group of boys who also seen the website. One of the kids told his dad who told my son about it and they confirmed the name of the boy who had told him about the website, but parents were never notified of that. As a result some parents assumed his knowledge of the website came from home, which it did not. It was verified by a witness whose dad told the principal about the young boy who told my son about it. Soon after My daughter began to be mistreated by the principal with rude comments. The day before the last day of school Principal Mrs. Bonjorni yelled at my daughter for wearing jeans instead of swim clothes on water day. A teacher let me know about the situation so I went to the school to pick up my kids. I confronted Mrs Bonjorni and that very same day she fired the teacher out of pure evil and retaliation. There is no accountability here, especially since the owner of the school is the principal Mrs. Bonjorni. The port-a potty restrooms were unsanitary. The walls would be smeared with poo and very hot and at times had no toilet

Absolutely terrific small Catholic elementary and middle school…read more My nephew lives with me four months out of the year, and when he's here I enroll him in OLPH. English isn't his first language, and I don't want him in an enormous middle school where, because he's a newcomer and a "temporary" student, he'd probably be overlooked academically and socially. That, and I don't want him lose a week's worth of education to endure the battery of state- and federally-mandated tests that mean nothing to him and to me. The staff of OLPH are wonderful, from the principal to the teachers to the office staff. Enrolling him is a snap. The principal greets us by name on the first day. (How she remembers our names from year to year I'll never know.) Teachers are accommodating and easy to get hold of as a parent/guardian; moreover, they work with him before school and after school when he first arrives to bring him up to speed academically (he's enrolled from March-June). And because classes are really small, he also gets lots of individual attention during class time. My nephew spends time with me in California primarily to improve his English, and even though OLPH doesn't have a special curriculum for language-minority students - he's just one of two or three English as a Second Language kids in the whole school - I see a tremendous improvement in his English speaking, reading, and writing every year, and I'm sure that's due in large part to the individual attention and friendly atmosphere he experiences at OLPH. I'm also impressed with the discipline I see on campus and in classrooms. There are no children running amok; I've never seen a classroom where the teacher wasn't in 100% control of the situation; and the kids are polite to every adult they encounter. I've never been on a public middle school campus where kids will routinely smile and greet adults they don't know, and I've been in hundreds of public middle schools in my life. The folks at OLPH do a fantastic job. As a parent/guardian, I couldn't ask for better.

The priest has brought an extreme conservative ideology to this role that is completely out of character with the tone and values this church has always represented -- none of his predecessors led this way. Policies have changed in ways that feel exclusionary and fear-based, and when families have raised concerns, they haven't been heard. The community that made this church and school special is being eroded. I'd encourage anyone considering this school to ask leadership directly about their policies on family inclusion before enrolling. And I'd encourage longtime parishioners to ask the same questions of the priest and the diocese. The answers may surprise you.

***If you're looking for a swim school that's home based and has kids running all over the parking…read morelot banging on your car doors and windows then this is the swim school for you** My son attended Swell swim school for almost 2 seasons Unfortunately this last season was cut short by the owner Katy. I wish I would've known sooner the type of business owner this place had and I would've took our money elsewhere. Story time: My son and I show up one day for his swim lesson, I notice there's a little boy running all over the parking lot, banging on customers windows and doors trying to direct traffic for "fun play" I try and let it go it since I have kids of my own, but this kid was persistent on following my son and I telling us rules for his parking lot and etc, I then disengage with the kid as I don't want to be late for our swim lesson and this kid (same from the parking lot, about 3-4 year old) tells me he's going to "shoot me in the face with his nerf gun" he tells me this because he notices I'm not paying attention anymore and he wants me to understand his rules I'm appalled and shocked that a kid this age would say this? I'm wondering where the parents for this kid are since he's wandering around alone.. mind you I'm with my son who would NEVER say something like this to a stranger so I'm walking away and I tell my son that's a bad kid we don't say that I don't say that directly to the little boy I say it to my son so he understands this type of behavior is not okay. Long story short, we go on with the day & my son attends his swim lesson with his phenomenal teacher Miss Lauren and right when his swim lesson is over my son is changing into dry clothes.. the owner Katy who it's my first time meeting comes up to me in-front of all the other parents waiting and confronts me about the situation and has his son apologize which I thought was nice however she follows this apology with letting me know there's "no such thing as a bad kid" and ensures to let me know that this kid running around was hers and that it's his house. I then proceed to let her know, her kid told me that he would shoot me in the face with his nerf gun in-front of my son which is NOT okay and this owner seemed to disregard that.. she was more concerned on the fact that her sons feelings were hurt. I forgot to add that I'm also super pregnant at the moment, so I don't have time for the drama let alone cause a scene in-front of other parents at this facility so I let Katy know this incident wouldn't happen again and she says "good" and walks away Well, I guess Katy didn't like my response because Literally, a couple of mins later as I'm about to take off with my son since we are done for the day Katy, immaturely comes up to me & states she doesn't feel Comfortable with my son attending her swim school anymore and that this lesson he just completed would be his LAST one , oh & that we would get a refund for the remaining classes my son has left... (in front of ALL THE OTHER PARENTS) Mind you my son still has a couple of lessons left In his swim season, I'm appalled and shocked and embarrassed that Katy would take this out on my son who had NOTHING to do with the situation. Pretty much my son had to change back into his swim clothes, graduate early and get his medal. All this is happening as the next kid now has to wait for his swim lesson to start with Miss Lauren due to the owner kicking my son out of her school & miss Lauren having to spend extra time with my son to have him "graduate". Again, I am soooooo embarrassed, angry and in shock at how Katy (the owner) handled all this. As a parent, I let my son know he did awesome and that is why he was graduating early from swim school since he's questioning on why that was his last swim day.. Later this day I go home let my husband know what happened he's just as upset as I am he contacts Swell Swim school & Katy's husband answers, they have a conversation & my husband asks if my son is able to finish his remaining swim lessons.. the owner lets my husband know he will talk to his wife and get back to us which he did later in the day & says Nope, my son is not allowed back. This was just not the way I pictured this high rating swim school to be, it's upsetting. However, note that this situation that happened to me can happen to ANY parent that attends this school if it hasn't already so just be mindful of that i'd recommend looking into other swim schools that are actually professional to avoid any mishaps. :)
