There is so much that I love about this playground. I love that the playground itself has shaded areas built into it. I love that there's a variety of equipment for different ages. I love that you can almost launch yourself off of some of the slides. I love that it's fully fenced. I love that there's even a ramp onto the playground for those children who need wheels to get around. I love that apart from the ramp there's still about four different ways to actually get on to the playground. Can you tell I'm excited? BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!! I love that there sheltered table/chairs AND a working drinking fountain so close to the playground. I love that there's a basketball hoop not too far away. I love that you can have dogs in the park (but not in the fenced off playground area). I love that there's a BBQ! I LOVE IT!!! SO why didn't I give this a five star rating???? Because there's no toilets :-( This IS a destination playground for me because I don't have to drive far to get to it. This one is along the foreshore near the end Nelson Street at Port Noarlunga South. It's a really…read morenice spot with plenty of car parking nearby (tho it would get full quickly in summer) and it's right where the esplanade starts to bend out further, so the view is great down the coast. There was a nice gazebo style seating and under cover area, a bin close by, water and BBQ's. The seating is not far from the playground itself which is fully fenced as well. The only thing missing is the toilet. There are some toilets further down the esplanade though if you need. There is absolutely NO shade over ANY of the play equipment so make sure you put sunscreen on the kids. Being right on the Esplanade it's a nice touch that the council put a boat in the playground.

This playground absolutely blew me away when I stumbled upon it. This street is a little 'industrial' so to find this wonderful park was exciting. It's nestled in among the trees so there's dappled shade over most of the playground. There are BBQs, shaded table/chair areas, lots of nice lawn areas, toilets, a drinking fountain (that works!!!), a skate ramp and LOTS of wonderful play equipment that would suit a variety of age groups and abilities. This is definitely a 'destination playground'. There's plenty of room if you want to spread out a blanket and have a picnic, or there are a couple of BBQs ready for sizzling. To find this playground was such a great feeling, I can only imagine how children feel when they see the place. I'm not talking about the usual three meter metal structure that you see at a lot of playgrounds, and in its own right, is a lot of fun. I'm talking about a real swinging, cable, go-from-up-high-and-then-lower flying fox! As I was leaving a car pulled up with 2 girls about aged 9-10. They burst out of the car doors yelling "Yay! I LOVE this playground!" I wiped a small tear from my eye (joke) and walked away smiling. This is what playgrounds should be about. They should be a place where children laugh and run and play and balance and fall over, and try again, and get better at doing things every time they go there. The girls ran straight over to the flying fox and I can imagine they would have been there for quite some time. This playground also has a sheltered seating area in between the flying fox and the other playground equipment. And when we turned up it was nice and quiet with no one else there. Not for long..... We had barely started eating when two dads rock up with their daughters (4 of them) for school holidays play obviously. Nice to see. They put sunscreen on and then ran straight to the flying fox. They took it in turns and did not stop or even look at any other play equipment. And the screams from 4 young girls on that type of equipment. Serious headache. So when we finished lunch my son went on the playground for a while and we both had fun with the spinning thing (even tho part of it was broken when we went, come to think of it two of the lights on the pathway were broken too). In the end I said to him let's go, you can go on the flying fox another day. I had warned him as soon as they got out of the car that if he wanted a go he better put his food down and go now before they get there, but he decided food was more important at the time). Plus another group came down as well with their cricket stuff and played on the grassed area. o it quite a popular place and we will probably visit there again one day so he can have a shot on the flying fox. Fifth star must be with the toilets because they aren't here either :-(

You can find shadey spots to sit around under a tree in various places on the reserve but no built shelter and nothing close enough to the playground, so take hats and sunscreen! Apart from that no toilets but there was a great drinking fountain. And the playground was pretty cool. It even had a wicked little boat in it. Would be a good one to make use of if you live nearby.

Obviously this community likes its playground, and so they should. The equipment here is extremely new, bright, colourful and engaging. I would love to bring my daughter here. The entire play area is rubber floored and is designed for children 5 years and younger. It looks like such a fun place to be. There's a really large lawn area within the park, great for frisbee throwing or kicking a ball. The playground does get some shade from the trees around it. There's a bike track that runs behind this pretty little park. I don't know how my hubby knew this one was here but somehow we ended up here. It is alongside a busy main road in gawler where cars are driving quite fast. There is off-road parking just past the playground. I was a bit shocked to see the latch is broken so you can only keep the gate closed with a big yank. The playground equipment was in good order with nothing broken or needing maintenance. We used all of the equipment and the little one had a ball as did us big ones! I particularly liked the spinning stand and my husband liked the monkey bars! We will probably bring her back here next time we are in gawler. I only recommend making sure you check that gate is latched!!!!

However there was a BBQ near a table and chair setting under a shelter. Plenty of parking and right by the beach. A nice playground too with a small fence near the side that was closest to the roadway. Nicely landscaped but am guessing it's pretty new and there is basically no shade, other than under the shelter. So definitely bring sunscreen and hats. Possibly go for a play then let the kids go for a swim in the beach if it's a warmer day. The playground itself is really cool and has heaps of different stuff to the usual playgrounds with the beach theme incorporated. There are bark chips underneath all the play area.

There is a basketball half court and a netball ring/half court, picnic tables and drinking fountain. It is a magical little place and you can even go on a little walk down to explore the creek down the hill. The only downside is there are no toilets so best go before leaving home. This playground is actually located on Pine Drive, Aberfoyle Park SA and not the address above. The above address of Reynell RD features a bmx track and walking trails only.
