Food is mediocre and not as tasty with a scarcity of vegetables, especially in the vegetable fried rice. Will definitely try a different restaurant next time. Been going to Q's for over 20 years. Has gone down terribly. Ordered the other night, fried rice was just white rice with a little soy sauce, no vegetables, no egg. Wonton soup was just broth with wontons. Spoke to the owner and she said "is additional $1.25 per egg ". I did not know eggs are now $16 a dozen. She also stated they stopped adding things to the soup years ago. She could not care less. She said "next time time I add vegetables to your fried rice ". I said there won't be a next time. What's going on here? 3 weeks ago I had a GREAT meal from this place. Tonight I ordered the same 4 items and they were not good. Egg roll was nice and crispy on the outside but had a second uncooked layer below. Very little filling. Spring roll was soggy. Vegetable fried rice wasn't fried at all. Basically white rice with 3 pieces of broccoli and a dozen peas. Egg foo young sauce was a liquid....not thick enough to stick. Used to be a frequent visitor but I won't be risking getting another meal like the one I just ate. read more

Worst food ever. Most orders are tasteless and they use no fresh vegetables. What few vegetables they use are frozen and limited to peas and carrots. They consistently get orders wrong and if you dare to call and complain they will scream at you and tell you it is your fault. If you want an awful Chinese/American meal and want to be verbally abused----go for it. read more

By far the best Chinese takeout in the area! I don't get the negative reviews! Super friendly women in charge, not so much the young guys they occasionally hire at the register. They, the temp guys, have to learn how to smile & be nice to the customers & learn how to say thank you when you leave them a tip for take out. Fortunately the temp guys are not around much! I'm normally more than forgiving in my reviews. The quality of the chicken in the chicken and broccoli dish was awful. The lo mein and fried rice were similarly bad. The lo mein was bland and tasted stale. The fried rice, and I kid you not, was yellow. There was no soy sauce in it at all and it was not prepared in the traditional chinese way. It also had a repulsive odor that I could not identify. But, hey, if you want to eat yellow fried rice from a chinese place, go for it! I would sincerely stay away from this restaurant at all costs. Very disappointed in both the service and the food. We stopped in for dinner on a weeknight, and our food took 30 minutes, when it came out it was bagged to go, though we'd asked to eat in. We'd been waiting so long, we figured it was for the best and took it to go. The veggies in our cashew chicken dish smelled like rotten milk. The fried dumplings had an odd moldy taste. Not good Chinese food. The dumplings are doughy, the fried rice has carrots in it ( we eat Chinese all of the time and never have carrots in it) and their prices are higher than the average. I am surprised they are still in business. Better off going to Sui and Hai in Yorktown or up to Carmel to Toro. There you can get some good Chinese. read more

This is our local takeout and occasional dine in Chinese spot, and the family that runs it does a terrific job. I like the food as it is made with good, fresh ingredients, seasoned well, without that excessive oily/gloppy sauce that other places slather on to hide fault with their meat or vegetables. Q's is a great, basic Chinese take-out place. If you're interested in Asian fusion cuisine, this isn't the place to go. But for delicious egg rolls, shrimp toast, wonton soup, tender beef and chicken, vegetables that are cooked, but not overcooked...Q's is the best p!ace around. The prices are reasonable and the delivery service is reliably speedy. The staff is unfailingly polite. QUALITY would compensate... Obviously purchase is by choice..I expect quality food, not microwave/frozen food delivered via distributor....heat&mix to make it look freshly prepared & I realize 'from scratch' is NOT realistic or even possible. If the boneless ribs were prepared fresh, why would the food have 1 peanut in it, a piece of overcooked/fried ?chicken?& a part of pea pod..tells me mass prepared & no attention to what heating up.
