ONE session is all it took for significant improvement! I've been having pain in the outside area of my shoulder for months. Trying to fix it on my own with stretching wasn't working. I saw Dr. Ken at his new gym in Studio City and was hardly able to lift my arm outwards without feeling a very sharp pain. After the initial range of motion assessment, he did some deep tissue massage, cupping to stimulate blood flow, and range of motion stretching. By the end of the session I had full range of motion and the pain was reduced to a manageable discomfort. There is still work to do to eliminate the pain, and I'm doing my homework! THANK YOU Dr. Ken for helping me pinpoint the problem and fix it! read more

Dr. Ken immediately identified where my back and neck problems were, but he didn't just do a quick adjustment. He used many procedures (including adjustments) to alleviate my neck pain, and I walked out of there ready to take on the world. read more

Had a great experience with Dr. Ken, he was very professional, knowledgeable and most importantly practical. I had some posture imbalances that he was able to balance out during our session. Highly recommended! read more

Ken is super thorough! He did a full assessment of my posture, range of motion, flexibility, walk, etc... I did a variety of exercises and stretches so he could really assess my whole body. The adjustment was gentle yet effective and included points of massage as well. I left feeling great, walking taller and relaxed. And when I got home there was an exercise plan in my email inbox to keep my body feeling good ongoingly. I highly recommend Dr. Ken! read more

The staff here at Liddy really know their stuff! Dr. Ken Ycmat is simply THE BEST physio doctor/chiropractor out there. I've been seeing him on an as-needed basis for about four years, and he has cured my chronic pain thanks to his expertise in physical therapy. He always gives good advice that works if you follow it. He knows how to work with bodies of all types, including serious athletes. In addition, he is *such* a kind and considerate doctor. He really listens and assesses the whole body to figure out what's going on. I'm not kidding when I say Dr. Ken may have saved my life at one point because he realized what was going on, even though a couple of other healthcare providers had brushed off my symptoms. Thanks to him, I was able to take preventative measures in a potentially life-threatening situation. Of course, it helps that I have been seeing him regularly for years, so he also knows me and my body in a way that my other healthcare providers don't have the capacity to. Also, the new massage therapist, Theresa, is AMAZING! I have seen lots of really good massage therapists over the years, including here at Liddy, but after seeing Theresa for the last 6 months or so for various issues that have cropped up (mainly due to stress and muscle imbalances), I have learned much better body awareness and healthy coping mechanisms thanks to her careful attention and expertise in soft tissue massage, as well as breath work (turns out your sports massage doesn't have to hurt to be effective -- who knew?!). Like Dr. Ken, Theresa really listens and goes above and beyond to notice and cure issues, oftentimes that no one else has before. Last but not least, the new location is a beautiful facility and a pleasure to visit, and parking is easy on the street or in the parking structure. read more

Me and the spouse have been recently contacted by the owner of Liddy Health and Fitness with the specific intent of being asked to take this review down, as he thinks that this experience shouldn't be listed under his business and establishment... trying to instead pawn off the mishaps to the chiropractor who he hires out: --------------- "Second, although Dr. Ycmat treats patients on behalf of Liddy Health and Fitness, he also has a separate, and distinct practice apart from Liddy Health and Fitness. As I have reviewed the information, you and Steven are Dr. YcMat's patients. Although my primary concern and goal is to make you each happy and address any negative experience you have had, I need to point out that your Yelp reviews target the wrong business. I ask that you both remove the reviews for Liddy Health and Fitness. If it is your desire to write a review, please place it with the correct business which is Dr Ken YcMat. Also, please let me know if there is anything more I can do to address your negative experience. Thank you for your understanding and prompt action in addressing this issue. I am hopeful we can all get a resolution which will satisfy all concerned. " --------------- This is just unacceptable and bullying at it's best!!! Businesses need to own up to their part when they have fallen flat on customer service and accept user reviews. This is the whole point of Yelp. I see no reason in asking for anything to happen or re-compensation for this experience, as me and my spouse both tried over and over several times to give them a chance and better correct these issues. As you can see from the review, we had multiple issues and even spoke to them about it, but in the end they were never fixed. Liddy Health and Fitness manages booking, appointments, and the structure of the massage therapy service and trying to say that this shouldn't be a review based on them is just false and unacceptable. Also here is the email confirmation of appointments with Liddy Health and Fitness all over it (even with their graphic logo, which you can't see on this review): ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Liddy Health & Fitness Date: Thu, May 21, 2015 at 8:10 AM We've moved! Ken helped heal my chronic knee and elbow tendinitis in a matter of about 4-6 months. I had been going to physical therapy for a year at another establishment, and in half the time Ken got me over the hump with my chronic issues. My knee had been chronically sore for about 4 years prior to all of this. I honestly had given up the hope that my knee would ever be good again, and I can confidently say he changed my entire outlook on my physical body. in literally the first session with Ken, he noticed something going on with my shoulder blades that in an entire year the other place I was going had not noticed. He also makes use of modern methods like ultrasound, electrical current, and cupping to great effect. He is calm, friendly, courteous and extremely talented. You know when certain therapists have the gift of touch when assessing patients and Ken certainly does. HE HAS SERIOUSLY STRONG HANDS. The office is situated within a larger gym called Studeo, and the relationship between Ken and the trainers makes for an awesome experience and there's plenty of space to make use of the premiere level gym and equipment right on site. I would recommend Ken and Liddy Fitness to anyone. read more

This place is great! I see Dr. Ken Ycmat for all my chiropractic adjustments here. The place is very clean, the building is easy to get to and easy parking below. They have personal training here as well and the big open windows make for a nice view and a lot of natural light while you're working out. I highly recommend this place, Especially Dr. Ken, he's always professional and we have built a strong client relationship through his consistency. read more

Really loved Dr. Ken. I was having issues with my neck and back for quite some time and I lost touch with my old chiropractor. Felt so much better after seeing him. The staff was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Felt at ease the second I walked in. Have a follow up soon and can't wait to be at 100% again. read more

Dr. Ken is a life-saver! In just one session he was able to identify my problem areas, adjusted me out of pain and discomfort, prescribed a therapeutic regimen of exercises, as well as a workout regimen that has me now stronger and healthier than ever! Dr. Ken is the best chiropractor I've ever had and I highly recommend him to everyone. read more

I am absolutely loving the new studio! It is clean, inviting, professional, and filled with friendly and motivated people who take their fitness seriously. Dr. Ken Ycmat, who is their chiropractor, has been a godsend! He is able to assess and evaluate areas of concern and make immediate changes. I came to him for a shoulder injury and leg weakness, which has resolved almost instantly. Thank you so much Liddy Health and Fitness! read more

Completely unprofessional ... It's the second time that I'm waiting outside the building ... Nobody calls or text to let us know that they are running late or not coming ... They should be on top of their customer service and call patients to let them know about any changes. Also, the building doors are always close. It is very inconvenient to try every single door (front and back) to try to get in. read more

New location but same great staff! Have been a client for years and I always leave feeling better.

I first met Dr. Ken almost three years ago - I was riding my bike from San Fran to LA on a seven-day charity event ride. I made it as far as Santa Barbara when one of my Achilles tendons decided it had had enough and didn't want to go any further. I was lucky to be treated by Dr. Ken - chiro, massage, adjustment, tape, ice and ibuprofen later (and truly the best bedside manner you will ever meet) and I finished the ride. I have also been prescribed exercises by Dr. Ken to strengthen weaknesses (quads causing knee issues, calves leading to ankle problems) which have helped me avoid injuries. Not only that, after a relatively nasty bike crash I waited a week to see him because I thought I had whiplash. I saw him, got a neck adjustment and walked out good as new. Dr. Ken has helped me with sports injuries and overcoming weaknesses across cycling, yoga and running. Without him I would not have finished that ride or now be staring down a marathon. My husband also sees him for general strength training to fix awful back pain. Dr. Ken not only helps with the back pain but sends him home with bicep muscles. Thanks, Ken! Don't waste a moment - call Dr. Ken and get him to straighten your body's aches, pains and quirks out. read more

My wife, my son and I have been going to Dr. Ken for nearly ten years and he has been absolutely essential for keeping us all healthy and on track. His level of expertise, his approach, his professionalism and his skill set are all stellar. To top it all off, he genuinely and deeply cares about people. I've seen Ken and his team treat numerous world class athletes. We "regular" folks receive the same highest level treatment and care. Their new facility is state-of-the-art, super clean and really cool design. read more

Saw Dr. Ken today for problems I've been having with my knee. He applied pressure on different parts of my leg, and had me do a variety of exercises. This guy really knows what he's doing because I left the office feeling a whole lot better. I found the entire experience at Liddy Health to be highly professional. The only thing I found a little confusing when I arrived was that you have to figure out that you need to enter from the back. The front is locked and there are no signs to let you know to enter in the back, at least not ones that I saw. read more

Dr. Ken transformed my life by resolving ankle and shoulder problems that haunted me for almost 10 years. With steady and patient physical therapy, plus skillful adjustments, he restored a pain-free range of motion that I had almost forgotten. Moreover, by teaching proper form and encouraging new exercise habits, Dr. Ken helped me lose 20 pounds of body fat and cut my cholesterol level in half. The lesson is that it's never too late to improve if you get the right professional to help you! By the way, the new location on San Vicente near Wilshire is a superb facility. I will keep referring people there, just as my own doctor referred me to Dr. Ken. This was one of the best referrals that I have ever received. read more

The worst service I've had. And no respect at all. Masseuse is lazy, I had a to drive and hour to go there for lazy massage!

After suffering from unbearably chronic neck and back pain for several hopeless months, my doctor strongly recommended I check out the peeps over at Liddy Health & Fitness. A few days later I met with Dr. Ken Ycmat and it has truly been a life-changing experience. His approach through sports therapy has provided me with a well-rounded rehabilitation program that's finally broken through the chronic pain and given me my life back. I am so grateful for Dr. Ycmat's work, his unwavering dedication, and his ability to go above and beyond in order to provide the best service possible. read more
