Because of the atmosphere, I expected a relaxing and high-quality massage experience. Unfortunately, the actual service did not match the appearance of the facility. The massage itself was not good left me achy and in pain. The therapist who worked on me was very kind but did not seem experienced. The pressure and technique felt inconsistent and unprofessional, and it didn't feel like a proper therapeutic or relaxing massage. It seemed uncoordinated rather than intentional or skillful. Instead of feeling relaxed or relieved, I felt uncomfortable during most of the session. Another major issue was the temperature in the room. The room was very cold and the massage table was also cold, which made it very difficult to relax. Lying there feeling cold throughout the massage took away from any chance of enjoying the experience. A comfortable temperature is a basic part of any massage environment, so this was surprising and disappointing. What concerned me even more is that when I woke up the next day, I was actually so much pain I had to go into work late. I had soreness and discomfort that I did not have before the appointment. A good massage should relieve tension, not create new pain or discomfort. Considering the high price I paid for the session, the quality of the service did not justify the cost at all. I expected a professional and relaxing experience but instead left feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. Overall, while the place itself looks nice, the quality of the massage was very poor. Because of the lack of skill, the uncomfortable environment, and the pain I experienced afterward, I would not recommend this location at all.

Really glad I did! It was a painful massage but in the best possible way. It was like getting a massage in China. It hurt but every thing the guy was doing was with intention. Some of the places in LA are just being lazy just patting you down giving you half their attention or one time they just tried to flatten me like pizza dough. I consider that a waste of time and money. My masseuse was really searching for every knot and tried with a hefty amount of strength to work through it. It was exactly what I needed but I can imagine some people just not being able to take it. Imagine a knot being found in your back and then just someone shoving their elbow in it and hearing loud popping. It was sooooo therapeutic and I'm still sore a few days later but feeling so loose and without any real tension. It's like a weight is lifted all my shoulders. Pretty sure you can ask for a lighter massage. I heard a guy next to me say 6 out of 10 so I'm sure lighter massages are available. Can't repeat this enough, I'm going back again!

I was a little take aback as usually they will allow you to pay after the service. She then asked me for a tip, I told her I usually don't tip until after I see how the service goes... if she was going to demand a tip as soon as I walked in, I was only going to tip 10% She relented and said she would wait for me to finish. Already off to a terrible start. The massage: I had the 60 min massage. the lady that did my massage was named Cindy. 10/10 did a fantastic job. I wish she had asked me in the beginning if I prefer a lighter or more firm massage, but she remembered in the middle so that was nice. Also, she takes feedback well, I pointed out a the locations of a few knots in my back and she always made sure to go back and give the areas extra attention In Conclusion: I had a fantastic massage. Thankfully the abruptness of the front desk lady didn't affect the rest of my appt. Also, be aware that if you use your credit card, they charge you a "tax" of $5.25 so with tip I ended up paying 25% but a good massage place is hard to find, so whatever, I'll still come back lol

It's affordable ($40 for 45 minutes, $55 for 60 minutes) and efficient. Best to call ahead though they do accept walk-ins. My only critique: The masseuses always spend 65% of their time on the back during a full body massage, despite what you ask them to focus on. Still, upon the leaving I always feel looser and calmer, even if they don't pay full attention to the specific issue areas, and for that I come back.

Taiji was within walking distance and I called them to see if I could come for a walk-in appointment one afternoon which they were able to accommodate. The prices are amazing, but know that the facility is no-frills - there are three rooms curtained off from one another. The massage bed was comfy and it was cosy inside. Everything was clean, and the lights are set down low which was relaxing. Sammy gave me an 90-minute massage and I was pleased. The pressure could be intense on some of my muscles and I told her when it was too hard for me. I paid $80 for a 90 minute massage which cannot be beat. Try to bring cash. Don't forget to tip your masseuse! I am looking forward to going back in.
