This might have been my 3rd or 4th time coming to Peng's. Their staff is always skilled, reliable and the pricing is very reasonable! I will continue to return. read more

Very professional TCM clinic. You first meet with the doctor for a real consultation (pulse, tongue, blood pressure), not rushed at all. She explained what was going on and adjusted the treatment based on my goals. Acupuncture was done carefully and felt targeted. The massage was short but effective, and I added cupping because of dampness -- quick, clean, and helpful. They offer a lot of services in one place and accept insurance. I'd come back. read more

Same issue as another reviewer -- hassled for bigger tip at end of massage. Foot massage was ok; nothing incredible. (And woman tried to upsell me before massage even started.) tip issue ruined any relaxation post-massage. Won't be back. Too many other places. read more

Scheduled a reflexology appointment here since I was staying around the corner. Seemed like the cleanest, nicest place around and also the closest to my room. I booked online via their website. My friend booked as well. When we arrived the gentleman upfront did not have our appointment on his books. We had to wait 10 minutes after our scheduled appointment time to be seen. At least we were squeezed in. The phone seemed to ring off the hook with people wanting to come in right away the whole time we were there. The massage itself was pleasant enough. Started with a gentle shoulder and neck massage while our feet soaked. After walking as much as we have any touch/massage on my feet felt great. I'll add I'm also 23 weeks pregnant so my feet were HURTING after 6+ miles of walking around. I heard several pleased guests leaving and checking out while we received our reflexology treatment. Our chairs were upfront by the desk and store front. Staff was nice enough. There wasn't much interaction. Suggestion; call ahead - don't book online. from my own experience and reading other reviews I'm not sure they actually check their online reservations. read more

First time trying the acupuncture. A wonderful experience overall--very comfortable and truly relaxing. It really helped relieve my fatigue.

Very enjoyable and great experience! would definitely recommend to anyone looking for massage and acupuncture therapy.

Good Place for Healing face nerve pain staffs are great and nice, easy to communicate

Amazing experience overall. The therapist was very professional, attentive, and skilled. The massage really helped relieve my tension and stress, and the environment was clean, calm, and comfortable. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend and will definitely come back again! read more

NO - i went to get my back massage here and after explicitly advising the women to be more gentle, she proceeded to aggressively push on my back. I was left with terrible back pain and subsequently got an MRI and was diagnosed with two slip discs. I cannot recommend against this establishment enough. read more

Great massage and cupping. They use hot stone and it is very relaxing. I also went for acupuncture and it was great. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have been coming to Peng's for over five years for cheap, no frills, quality massages. Though, our last visit was extremely unpleasant upon leaving. There is an intensely rude cashier that shames patrons for tipping 20%, yelling and demanding a minimum 30% tip. This placed quite a sour taste in our mouths and will prevent us from returning. On top of this, we were paying in cash, which is beneficial to the business! What a SHAME. read more

TIPS ARE OPTIONAL PEOPLE. I gave $10 on a $60 massage and the front desk guy told me I should leave 20% (another $2 dollars). Annoying. Tips are optional, a $10 is a fine tip, pay your masseuses more if you think they're not earning enough and don't hassle your customers for $2 bucks!! Especially since they're adding $5 for a credit card fee. Sometimes I give more, rarely do I give less, what a drag interaction to have post massage. I've had decent massages here and meh massages here, like most places. read more

Service was amazing and the massage was even better. Place was clean and everyone was very professional

They demanded I pay them more for a tip after a very uncomfortable massage. I used to frequent here but that behavior is unacceptable and a quick way to lose a customer. read more

Excellent experience. Staff is very pleasant. Rooms ate clean, table is comfortable. The massage is very pleasant, not painful, and efficient because I feel more flexible - even 3 days later. Price is $60 for an hour + tip which is very good. I definitely come back read more

Treated my date and I for a massage here for our birthdays. All around good experience, the service was friendly too but unfortunately, I do not appreciate being told what to tip way before I receive a service. I am not a non-tipper but I do believe on giving intentional tips, the worker at front almost made us feel like it was an obligation for a standard 20% tip. I strongly believe in allowing the service speak for itself or adding a service charge. Just left a bad taste. The massage therapists were good, if you're in the area I would check it out and let me know your opinion. read more

I went to Peng's Bodywork for a 60 minute massage due to some tension in my shoulders. I called the day of (on a Sunday) to schedule my appointment and they were able to take me. I would recommend you call in beforehand like that because when I came in, there were a few people trying to do walk ins that were told to come back in a couple of hours. On the phone, I requested a female masseuse and they were able to accomdate me. I asked her to specifically focus on my shoulder and she did, working on a knot for a good amount of time. I left feeling very satisfied! I tipped $15 on top of the $55, bringing my total to $70. The only reason I ranked it 4 stars is because there was a slight smell inside the place. read more

My favorite place to receive massages. I've been coming here for years. The staff is very nice, helpful and patient. My only con this past experience was the noise level. They normally mandate that everyone keeps their voices and any noise to a minimum however, I experienced loud talking and laughing which definitely took away from the soothing quiet experience I was used to. Other than that I have no complaints. read more

Peng's Bodywork - Morningside Heights - Massage - Massage Therapy Near Me - New York, New York

BEWARE: -They now charge a $5 service fee for all Groupons. - Despite calling a week in advance for the 102nd street location, they only had male masseuses available. -The 60minute massage costs $50 on their website and store signs. NOT $65 as advertised on Groupon. So dont tip based on $65. -the 10-minute hot stone add-on is part of the full 60minutes, not an addt'l 10 mins. It does NOT last for 10mins. 5 MAX. -the massage itself is normally GREAT, but this one was just okay. read more

Peng's Bodywork - Morningside Heights - Massage bed. - Massage Therapy Near Me - New York, New York

I went in for a 30 minutes back massage and a 30 minutes foot massage. The foot massage was ok. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I would have rather used that time for a full hour back. I spent $50 on both services. The facility is clean and is an in and out kind of experience. This is not to be mistaken for a spa experience. It's relaxing but is designed to focus on massage Whereas spas have all that extra fluff. For example, while I was there I Smelled food during my massage. Turns out when I got dressed and went to The front desk to pay, the girl was eating a whole mini rotisserie chicken! That would never happen in a spa! But before I got annoyed I had to think about the environment. My back massage was great the therapist worked out all my knots. I'm a little sore but that's what I came here for. My back feels so relaxed. As I walk down the street sfter my session I noticed I was standing taller, my posture was better. My mood and energy were all the way up I will definitely be back for maybe a full body or an hour long back massage. read more

I pretty much wasted my money buying this voucher to come to this location for reflexology. I don't understand why the website allows you to book a time if they are not available at that time. It makes no sense, and it ruined my plans and mood for the day because I was going to start my day off with the reflexology session and then hang out nearby, but now I have no reason to even go to that area. I won't be dealing with this business ever again because they are just wasting peoples time and money. read more

If you're body is broke down and you need a strong masseuse, ask for Peter! So skilled. Better than my massages with a physical therapist, massage envy/chains, and even the freaking mandarin oriental! Super nice guy I scheduled on the phone with. Nice receptionist too. Very relaxing atmosphere w nice decorations. That and it's Chinatown prices ($55 for 75min!) but I can walk to it in my neighborhood?? I'm coming here regularly to revive life back in into this broke body post COVID. Support this local business! read more

No frills space, but this was one of the best massages I've received! Great price and they were very attentive throughout. My shoulders were in a terrible place and she spent a lot of time working through the knots. I will be back! read more

Great massage spot! Only issue they ask for more when u tip! Not a fan of demanding tips.

Anna was great , I really appreciated her service , she was very professional and soft and and gave me the best massage. i was having shoulder pain and the right side really hurts and she was able to get rid of the knots , I really liked how she used a hot towel at the end , I would definitely rebook again read more

I have been extremely stressed with quarantine, home schooling multiple children, working from home and dealing with a mentally unstable brother who has been in full blown manic mode since March. I love the spa but, since COVID, I am very skeptical about going. I saw Peng's on Groupon and decided to check it out. I could definitely use some good foot reflexology and a back rub. Let me say, I am soooo happy I came to Peng's Bodywork. The place is so clean and peaceful. I love that it's located in my neighborhood. The atmosphere is so tranquil . It is the perfect escape from the current chaos of the world, even if it's just for 60 minutes. The foot reflexology was just what I needed. Sometimes businesses try to give you the skimpy plan when you have a Groupon, but Eva was the best. I will definitely be going back! If this review encourages anyone to go to Peng's, make sure you request EVA!!! read more

Good massage but shady business. All I can say is ask for a receipt if using your credit card. They overcharged me $15. I gave a cash tip.
