Customer service here is always great. They're always friendly, and always load up your stuff with what you want. I do have to say, it's not better than Chipotle... But really, what is!? They usually have pretty good coupons floating around, so google it before you go.

I really hate being this person, but this was my first time getting Qdoba and ordering off their app. I know I am picky eater which is why i like to order things on apps/online. & Why i like places where you could build your own bowls. Unfortunately, I ordered no beans for my bowl and there were beans everywhere. I know i'm being dramatic when i say i hate beans but i literally do hate beans and can't eat anything with them. I didn't notice the beans until i got home.

To be honest, I don't know how this place stays in business. Everytime I go, there is hardly anyone ever there. Strange....

My friend who grew up in Northern VA raves about HawaU as his favorite Hawaiian spot. To be fair,…read morethere aren't many options, so there's not really any competition. I added this casual spot to my list a couple months ago, but didn't have concrete plans to check it out. Driving to Manassas and back on I-66 from where I live would cost half of my brain cells and all my patience. However, a few friends and I drove out to Shenandoah this past Friday evening, and I made a convincing argument that HawaU would be on the way. By the time we arrived, we were all incredibly hungry and ready to wolf down anything edible. The ordering process was easy: we ordered and paid at the counter, grabbed a seat at one of the few tables, and waited ~10-15 minutes for the food (parts of it are made to order). LOCO MOCO (BOWL) - 9.99 The chipotle-sized bowl was topped with loco moco: white rice base topped with hamburger patty, fried egg, grilled pineapple slice, and a generous pour of beef & mushroom gravy, plus sides of fresh cabbage salad and mac salad. The gravy nostalgically reminded me of the ones I'd get from cafeteria-style school lunches -- thick, salty, slightly starchy, yet oddly comforting. The egg, hamburger patty, and rice were pretty standard, but the familiarity of the gravy tied the whole dish together nicely. Both salads were good -- the cabbage was more light and refreshing, while the mac salad felt a bit heavy after all the loco moco. Since it's my first time eating loco moco, I can't say how it compares to others. However, I found HawaU's incredibly comforting and hearty. It really hit the spot for me, and I ate the whole bowl within 10 minutes. The loco moco is definitely their signature option and a must try. My friends who got the spicy pork bowl and udon thought both were just OK and not special.

Before going in, I read some Yelp reviews and they were on point. The ambiance is clean, decorated, inviting, with soft lighting. The cashier and cook were quiet but nice. Not shouting or overly excited to chat me up. He was soft spoken, cautiously shy, but nice. Once he realized that I was cool and knew what I wanted, his serious face softened and he opened up. The cook easily smiled. There's no music, just sizzling sounds from the grill. There's a funny message on the bathroom floor the sink needs updating and it needs a nice soap dispenser with quality soap. Other the that, the place is nice. Would be a spot to go on a date. The vibe is grown and sexy, not kiddish like other burger joints. So don't expect crayons on the table and high chairs. Now to the food. I ordered the Chicken Over Rice platter. They plated it quickly. It camed with fresh salad, pita bread, and a few French fries on top . They covered everything with their delicious white sauce. I asked to have the hot sauce on the side bcz I wasn't sure how hot it was. I like spicy but some hot sauces can ruin the dish. Their sauce wasn't too hot, but I'm glad I got it on the side. The chicken was moist, flavorful, well seasoned, marinated, and lightly grilled. Everything was fresh, moist, and piping hot. I could tell the meat was halal bcz it had a fresh chickeny taste. If you know, you know. I ordered extra pita bread. The platter comes with 2 pieces but the extra comes with 4. I'm so full! I took half my platter to go with 3/4 of the extra pita bread. I'll save it for dinner. The platters come with a full tray. If you come for lunch, you'll be stuffed probably sleepy like I am rn. Take the rest home. If you come here starving, you'll leave full and satisfied. I only paid $12 plus $1.50 for extra pita bread. That's a steal in this economy! I hope they don't increase the prices after reading this. I'll be back, inshallah . Thanks for the good lunch and chill energy.

It's served with a soufflé cup of their "Cane" sauce. It wasn't enough sauce for me - so I went up to ask for another container of sauce. They made me pay for it - not a lot of money - 30 cents - but it felt cheap. Fries were pretty good - they could have been a little hotter. Cole slaw was fine. The toast was meh - I could've done without the toast. Service was good. Paid with Apple Pay. #RaisingCanesChickenFingers

From the first visit someone had mentioned if you wanted to swap items in the combos you could, but I didn't think to ask. I got the Big Box combo and mentioned no coleslaw, so the cashier asked if I wanted extra sauce, toast, or fries. I went with fries. The order came out quickly. I got it to go to run some errands and eat later. Food was good. Fries were a mix of crispy with a little softer (which were fine.) Seasoned, but not overly salty. While it may be just misremembering, I feel like the tenders were also better seasoned this time around. I feel like the prices skew just a little high, but I've had good experiences at this location. It's not close, so maybe the occasional treat.

To my dismay, although only 3 cars ahead of me but the waiting felt like eternity-sooooo slow. When I finally got to the part where you pay & pickup food, the manager told me they were extremely busy and apologized. Problem was also the intercom was very low I'd had to repeat my orders a few times. In hindsight, I should have driven directly and skip the ordering area and just give my order in the pickup area, since I again waited. Verdict on food taste still to come, will update later. But I heard good things, so... I have yet to taste the burger I ordered for me, waiting on hubby to come home, so I hope it was worth the wait. There are no Sonic place near me and this was closest or the one apparently now in Leesburg... Ok ate the dbl cheeseburger with fries & lemonade, it was not bad. Taste wise was simple and no complexity there but still not unlikeable so I'd give it 3.5! Hubby, whose opinion I value, absolutely love Sonic burger which then tipped it over to 4 stars for me! He told me reason for the wait was that Sonic cook to order and better eat it while fresh. But even letting it sit for 15 min still slightly warm, was not bad. God knows i'm trying so hard to like it for my darling husband, and yes, extra star courtesy by him, so there!!!

Then I noticed a red tray on the counter - with something bright yellow partially sticking out from beneath the tray. I moved the tray and found a yellow bell with a sign to ring it. So I did. Someone came out in a couple of minutes. I ordered a 6 inch Chili/Cheese Dog - and a bottle of water. Except - they are out of bottled water. So I went with just the Chili Dog. I went to pay with Apple Pay and was told we don't accept Apple Pay - you have to use the Sonic App. They must be one of the few business in Northern Virginia that does not accept contactless payments. They make you do it in their own app. So I paid cash. The cashier had to go in the back to make change. While I was waiting - I walked around the near vacant dining area. There was one person in the dining area. While waiting, I noted a large flat panel screen HDTV mounted on the all - but not on - with a dangling cable not plugged in to anything. Everything is dirty and needs a deep cleaning. Looking up to the ceiling - the HVAC vents are disgusting and need to be cleaned. A few minutes later - my order was ready. I decided to eat in as I did not want to spill chili on myself in the car. I shouldn't have worried about that though - when I opened my order - the amount of chili and cheese on the Dog - was the smallest quantity I have ever seen. It looked as if they had taken a butter knife and scraped the smallest amount possible of chili and drizzled the least amount of cheese across the Hot Dog. Disappointed - and I will never return. #Sonic
