My boyfriend and I finally made it here for dinner. We passed by nearly every day and always forgot about it being so close. We had a delish dinner. We both had burrito bowls and customized it to our liking. The bowl was so filling I couldn't finish it. When I was customizing my bowl I asked how spicy the chicken was. I told the worker that I like spice, but was just curious. She gave me a generous sample to try the spicy chicken to see if it was to my liking. Talk about drawing a customer in. That was so thoughtful. Safe to say I went with the spicy chicken as my protein. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our bowls! We will absolutely come back again for lunch or dinner.

Here's the Scoop! My honey and I passed this place many times. So we decided to give it a try. A pleasant surprise! Our thought was another Moe's or Chipotle. But yes, it's similar to the ordering process where you're layering protein, veggies, carbs etc. the difference here is the meats, beans were seasoned to perfection. No need for salt or anything. Just bless the food and eat! So, so tasty! I got the pulled pork, rice and beans, onion, lettuce, guacamole, tomato and sour cream on the side. My my my so good. The restaurant is very clean. Nice size booths, high table seating as well. The booths have TV monitors which was lovely. The colors are earth tones which is very nice. My honey ordered the chicken with rice & beans, lettuce, guacamole, tomatoes and peppers. We both enjoyed our meal and the comfortable booth. Check out my pics attached. Plenty of private parking available and they cater.

Sometimes you want more than food inspired by food- you know? Like authentic food! QDOBA is what Chipotle was inspired to be like. Authentic! I created my own vegetarian bowl and was quite satisfied! I was a little surprised by the guacamole though- I felt it could've had a little more lime, cilantro and tomato but it still hit the spot. Overall, I will come and eat here when I'm in the area. The food is clean and delicious and the people greet you with a smile and a bless you before you walk out the door! That's an added special touch.

You're done they'll clear the table. When they are busy this may leave the dining room cluttered, but fear not. I mentioned it once and they cleared plates and cleaned tables on the spot. So for a fast food type place, and this isn't truly fast food, why the missing star? Not for the food or the service. Mainly because the roasted chicken is not always available right away. That's a shame because it's so good and because I have gluten intolerances it means I might have to pick a different spot. Also, this place does catering and they can do it very quick. So if you have something come up impromptu and you want some awesome food. This is the place. Gringo friends, you are totally missing out. Give this place a try. You will be glad you did.

***MUCH BETTER THAN THE AVERAGE SANDWICH CHAIN*** ***FAST,…read moreEFFICIENT AND CONSISTENT SERVICE*** THOSE OTHER PLACES The other day, a few of us were talking about why sandwich shops like Subway and Blimpie, are so darn awful. One person, mentioned the sweaty-looking cold cuts, and phoney tuna. Next, someone brought up the not-so-fresh, wilted toppings. But then I added, that one of the most important aspects of a hero sandwich is the bread. And at these places, it's just so mushy, and fake-tasting. Even worse, it smells weirdly artificial. And that foul, artificial bread smell is the first thing that hits your nose when you walk into one of these places. "Hell", I said, "it's almost like the Pillsbury Dough Boy farted right in your face" JERSEY MIKE'S IS DIFFERENT Now being a sandwich chain store, Jersey Mike's is obviously not using artisan breads for their offerings. But the white, wheat, or parmesan rosemary breads are not at all fake tasting, and definitely form the basis for a good sandwich. And you can also order any sandwich on a wrap or even gluten free bread. A LOT TO OFFER Another big difference at Jersey Mike's, is the large number of sandwich choices. As there's at least twelve regular cold deli meat options, tuna, and a veggie sub. And on top of that, another twelve hot options with cheese steak, chicken cheese steak, and a fantastic portabella mushroom sandwich (more on this later). And for the best possible taste, all the deli meats are sliced fresh, and the ingredients for every hot sandwich are fried on a grill - not heated in a microwave as many other chains do. And lastly, everyone understands that fresh toppings are a very important ingredient for any sandwich. And so at Jersey Mike's, all toppings are of very high quality, and supremely fresh - you can definitely tell as soon as you bite into any sandwich. In addition, the oil & vinegar, the spice blend, and especially - if you enjoy spicy - the chili relish are wonderful additions that can bring the taste of any sandwich over the top. RUNS LIKE A CLOCK The management staff at each of the Jersey Mike's locations are definitely trained properly. For example, I have visited many of their different locations in New York, and in every case the restaurant & bathroom was very clean. And even when the restaurant is extremely busy during the lunch rush, service is very efficient, and the line to place an order moves quickly. WHAT I ESPECIALLY LIKE I've sampled many of the cold deli meat sandwiches, and they've really tasty. But my favorite sandwiches are the hot offerings, and this is where Jersey Mike's is far superior to most other sandwich chains. The cheese steaks, fried fresh with peppers and onions are great - especially the spicy #42 Chipotle Chicken or the #44 Buffalo Chicken versions. But my top pick overall, is the #64 Portabella Mushroom sandwich, made with fried peppers & onions. With this, I always ask for everything to be fried well-done, and then I top it off with a little chili relish, making this sandwich a fantastic mild-spicy vegetarian delight. CHANGE-UP Even though there's so many different items on the menu here, if you visit frequently, things can become repetitive. So to counter this - especially if you're trying to diet - you can order any sandwich as a salad. When doing this, the portion size is decent, but you may want to ask for some extra ingredients if your a chubby hungry guy like me. I usually order the Tuna salad, and put extra lettuce, tomato, and some banana peppers on it, to kick it up a bit. In addition to the salad options, Jersey Mike's periodically offers a new off menu sandwich. For instance, a Salsa Verde Chicken Cheese Steak was offered not long ago, and as I write this, The Classic is being offered, with pastrami, mozzarella, fried onions, pickles, and mustard. So taking all this into account, it's not surprising that I haven't visited a Subway or Blimpe sandwich shop in quite a few years. Without a doubt, there's plenty of these restaurants around, but after experiencing Jersey Mike's I'm just not satisfied with what they are offering. And once you experience Jersey Mike's, I'd bet you'll feel the same way too.
