04/10 After an exciting time at Vazquez Circus, my plus one and I decided to get something to eat but the food strip was bustling with party goers and there were no parking available. We headed back to Franklin Square but quickly found QDOBA. It looked interesting and it was a chance to see what the hype was. Coming into this casual dining restaurant we were very attractive to the high top seating. It was so beautiful and we couldn't stop gazing at it. We made our way to the school cafeteria style serving counter to place our order. The young man was very quick to serve us, like strictly business, moving the line expeditiously. It may be due to it being late and almost closing time. I had the burrito, it was very large in size but I need to say, I wasn't impressed. This burrito was more on the dry side and flavorless. I found this to be on the level of Taco Bell, but that's just me. QDOBA may have something else that I may enjoy but I'm not in a rush to revisit. read more

Went to QDOBA with my plus one and had a pretty average experience overall. The place itself was very clean, which I definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn't really stand out as much because it was pretty bland and lacked the seasoning and flavor I was hoping for. The staff seemed like they were just going through the motions. No one was rude, but they weren't especially welcoming or helpful either, which made the experience feel a bit impersonal. Not terrible, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again. read more

I'm updating my review for a few reasons. I usually order a large bowl to split with my partner or a small bowl or kid's meal for myself. Today, I went in to order a kid's taco meal and was told it now only includes one taco at the same price, which feels like a rip-off. Even the employees mentioned that the owners are being cheap. I decided to order a small bowl instead. As I was leaving, I slipped on black ice outside and my food flew up and spilled all over the ground. After the negative experience inside, I didn't bother going back in. Please make sure the sidewalks are properly salted. Thankfully, I wasn't injured. read more

When they first opened a friend described it as "they're like chipotle but with Mac n cheese burritos" & I thought "I guess that's cool but I don't NEED to try it." BOO HUGE MISTAKE. Staff is so nice! I was happy to be greeted with a smile; in these dark ages how magical honestly. I ordered a Cholula Hot & Sweet Chicken Bowl & my only complaint was the veggie mix with peppers was cut super chunky so they were difficult to eat in a mixed bite but besides that I was golden! The queso dip is delicious I got the regular but I'd love to try the spicy. I was fixated by the spicy ranch & forgot to ask for salsa verde but it is available. Honorable mentions: * They have Impossible Meat on the menu. * The NEW soda machine is crispy AHH - Cola sound FX. * I live in regret of not getting the cookie. The girl in front of me made it a solid point to get a brownie cause they got them things too & now I'm in FOMO. * I appreciate the employee wiping down the tables as soon as clients left! Nice place, large portions. Friendly staff. Love the packaging all Biodegradable. Glad to have a convenient local Mexican place in Bay Shore. My only issue where the stale chips with the Queso. That being said the queso was amazing, perfect amount of heat . Will be back for sure. read more

While I was standing there with my daughter, as she was ordering her food, a manager was cleaning the burrito steamer with a green scrub pad when I made a comment about not wanting my kids three tortilla pads to not go in there. He gave me an attitude. He gave me sarcasm and he was unprofessional and disrespectful. Then proceeded to stare me down the whole time. Wanted to love this place so badly so I don't have to drive to Islip for a burrito but unfortunately not a standout at all. It got our bellies full but that's about it. I was looking for kids options, they had none, one of my kids preferred steak the other chicken , I asked if they can put the meat side by side and cut in half, it seemed to perplex the employees, they did me a "favor" in cutting the burrito in half, which is not something they do . They also use extra large tortillas but don't fill enough so very bready at the corners. back to Bubbas in Islip I go. read more

Was standing on line with my daughter and we both watched the woman behind the cash register dig her finger in her ear, examine what she just pulled out, drop it on the floor, and repeat that all again. We immediately left because neither of us would want her touching our food, drinks or anything else exchanged with us after doing that. Never again. Do better. read more

Portion size Friendly workers Tasty food Brand new qdoba right by our house we r pumped, we r boycotting chipotle cuz they have been on the decline but now we don't care, qdoba is great. So yummmy! I ordered nachos with brisket and all the toppings- incredible! The steak quesadillas were also bomb. My chicken burrito was good but a little too much rice and not enough Queso but overall awesome place for quick Mexican food. Not to be compared with chipotle or moes they each have their own thing they are good at and the nachos and quesadillas are definitely it for Qdoba. I cant wait to try the tacos next time. They also package very well for delivery/Uber eats orders. Everything comes neat in biodegradable packaging. read more

After trying this place 4 times i can confidently say it's just really not that good. The service is great the place is clean but the food is so below average. There is little to no seasoning on anything. My burrito was not wrappped correctly so just fell apart just so underwhelming id rather just go elsewhere read more

If you like gnawing on shoe leather posing as steak, and cracking your teeth while crunching on dry pieces of reheated, brittle rice, then this is the place for you. The best quick serve Mexican in the area IMO. As far as franchise dining goes, certainly better in terms of topping options and quality than Moes and Chipotle. I stop here for lunch quite often. It's always incredibly clean and all of the staff is super friendly. It's a small thing, but I love that they have pickled red onions as a topping option. Someone on here left an unhinged 1 star review going on about how they lived in Mexico and that they stopped here as they were working on a book about eating around the world. LOL. I hate when people tank Yelp reviews like that for no reason. Of course a national franchise that is scaled across the country isn't going to be as good as as a mom and pop full-service dining restaurant or an authentic restaurant in Mexico. What were you expecting? But for an affordable quick serve option, it's the best around IMO. Also, this same person negged the manager for asking how his food was? That's literally what a manager is supposed to be doing. In fact, I'm eating here right now and he just asked me the same question. He seems like a lovely guy. Let me begin by saying I lived in Mexico for 16 years of my life and I have eaten and interacted with their food. I came to here as a quick stop for food. I got their "classic" burrito and asked them to surprise me. As I sat inside waiting for my food I was working on my new book "life through taste" I noticed that the scenery was honestly so poor, but non the less I got my food and let me tell you I have never ever in my life been so disappointed. The food was so bland and cold but it was my fault I should've know, there was not one worker that was Hispanic. I was disgusted to say the least. Then while I was eating the manager Raul had the audacity to ask me how my food was, I was shocked at how little knowledge of the culinary arts this man had. But worst of all he decided to scratch his behind in front of me and proceeded to continue working. I nearly threw up my intestines. I'm on week 3 of my rehabs trying to recover from this experience, I was diagnosed with severe PTSD. I still get reoccurring nightmares of this experience.
