Dr. Mark Speight practices here. He is an MD, but his office is integrative, therefore he does not…read moreaccept insurance. His receptionist stated his fee is $435 per hour. I want to repeat this to make sure no one believes I made a typing error, his fee is $435 per hour and they charge by the hour. All appointments are book for 1.5 hours each appointment, 2 hours for specific illnesses (like Lyme and other more complicated issues). Factor in lab tests (which will run thousands of dollars - I would estimate $2-4,000). One of my BS degree's is in Nutrition and I am a huge believer in integrative medicine. Even with my background, I am terribly ill each day and I have spent thousands with MD's with non-integrative approach, seeing specialist after specialist and acquiring more debt as time goes on. I'm only 29 and for 6 years my life has been spent completely alone, because when you are sick, you lose people. I keep going and I've tried to research integrative doctors to help me find the real reason I have these autoimmune diseases (EBV, Lyme, etc). But, I must say how depressing and disappointing it is to see people with the power of integrative medicine to charge at the rates that some do, like this doctor. You can't be lower or even middle class to afford that rate, you'd have to be upper class America only. Very sad to see people should be healers, who just want money.

I tried to make an appointment today and spoke with a woman named Janine. I asked over and over…read morewhat the initial cost of $630 visit would cover and was told "consultation". We were going to talk. He might suggest blood work or other items for the next visit which would entail new costs that were not included in the $630. I repeatedly tried to get basic information about what to expect from my appointment and was repeatedly told consultation. My question was never answered it was just rephrased. When I wouldn't be put off (most people want to know what they are paying for), I was told this probably wasn't the best fit for me. Wow! You can't tell me what I am paying for and I am not the best fit. Do your research people. I want to speak with someone honest, kind and informative and the way she was so defensive gave me pause.
