I had zero issues with check-in, security or boarding. Everything was so quick and seamless, the terminal for JetBlue is terminal 1 which doesn't have anything to eat. Unlike terminal 2, which has the lounge. Either way it didn't matter much to me given the time of my flight. When I boarded the plane I was shocked the flight attendant came to show me how to navigate my seat. I have never gotten this from neither Polaris nor Singapore airlines! We were always left to figure out how the seats work on our own! It was refreshing! She was so kind and friendly. I felt really welcomed. I opted not to eat anything and fell straight asleep right after takeoff and lay flat my seat. It was a very comfortable ride. And an extremely smooth landing. Kudos to JetBlue you definitely have won over a new passenger!

We paid in full in May for a package including a flight from New York to Los Angeles and an eight-night stay at the Orange County Airport Hotel in Santa Ana, CA. Before arriving, we called the hotel to advise that we would be checking in late, only to be told they had no room available and not to come, despite our prepaid reservation. When we tried to resolve the issue, hotel staff were rude, dismissive, and hung up on us. We immediately contacted JetBlue Vacations, but despite repeated assurances that they would resolve the situation, they took no action. After 1:00 a.m., we were forced to find another hotel ourselves at approximately 2:00 a.m., pay a last-minute rate, and incur duplicate hotel expenses. After weeks of communication, JetBlue still failed to make us whole, leaving us approximately $700 out of pocket, plus significant stress and lost vacation time. We then disputed the charges through JPMorgan Chase and provided documentation proving we had prepaid for both the flight and hotel and that the hotel accommodation was not provided. Chase ultimately told us that Visa declined the dispute. Despite our documentation and repeated requests for assistance, we felt Chase failed to advocate for us or protect us as customers. Our warning: Think twice before booking through JetBlue Vacations, consider avoiding the Orange County Airport Hotel, and carefully research Chase's dispute-resolution process before relying on them for significant travel purchases. We paid for a vacation and did not receive what we purchased. JetBlue Vacations, the hotel, and Chase all had opportunities to do the right thing. In our experience, none of them did.

My wife is six months pregnant, and as you can imagine, sitting for an extended period of time has become increasingly uncomfortable for her. I had originally purchased a Premium ticket because I was extending a business trip, and my wife decided to join me. As a result, she was traveling on a regular ticket and was seated toward the back of the aircraft. Before boarding, we spoke with the staff at the gate and were given the option to upgrade to Premium, which made us aware that there were Premium seats available. Once I boarded the aircraft, I explained our situation to the flight attendants. I specifically explained that my wife was six months pregnant and would likely become increasingly uncomfortable during the nine hour flight. I asked whether, if there were unoccupied Premium seats after takeoff, she might be permitted to move up so that she could be more comfortable. Instead of showing any understanding or compassion for the situation, the flight attendants immediately focused on charging an additional $350 for her to move to Premium. At the time, there appeared to be approximately 6-8 unoccupied Premium seats. I understand that airlines have policies regarding seating and upgrades, but the complete lack of flexibility or consideration for a six month pregnant passenger was extremely disappointing. The flight attendants also pointed out that I had a Premium seat while my wife was seated toward the back. I explained that this was originally a business trip and that my wife had decided to accompany me. They then suggested that I simply switch seats with her which, ironically, was exactly what I had intended to do all along. I had simply hoped that the crew might show some compassion and allow my pregnant wife to sit in one of the clearly available Premium seats if the seats remained empty after takeoff. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Immediately after takeoff, I switched seats with my wife. A short time later, I wanted to check on her because I knew she was becoming increasingly uncomfortable from the swelling and pressure associated with sitting for such a long period of time while pregnant. As I attempted to walk toward the front of the aircraft to check on her, I was stopped by the flight attendants and told that I was not permitted to go to the front. I simply wanted to check on my pregnant wife and make sure she was okay. Rather than showing any understanding, the flight attendants became increasingly stern and unprofessional. I was ultimately given three options: 1. Return to my original seat in the back. 2. Pay an additional $350 to upgrade. 3. If I did not accept either option, they threatened to involve the authorities. I found this response completely disproportionate to the situation. I was simply trying to check on my six month pregnant wife during a nine hour international flight. The situation became even more disturbing a couple of hours later. Because we had left our respective bags at our original seats so that we would not have to repeatedly disturb other passengers, my wife came to the back of the aircraft to check on me and retrieve something from her bag. As soon as she did, a flight attendant yelled at her and ordered her to return to her seat. Shortly afterward, the same flight attendant followed her to her seat and told her that she had better have gotten everything she needed from her bag because she would not be permitted to leave that section of the aircraft for the next eight hours. The flight attendant spoke to my wife in an extremely rude and aggressive manner and threatened that if she got up again, the authorities would meet us at the gate. My wife was so upset by the way she was spoken to and threatened that she began to cry. This was particularly disturbing given that she was six months pregnant and was simply attempting to retrieve an item from her own bag and check on her husband. Her food was also with me in the back, and she was unable to access it even though she was pregnant and hungry. In addition, we couldn't eat the plane food because we keep kosher, so the food was a necessity for her. We were essentially prevented from even checking on or assisting one another because we were seated in different cabin classes. The entire flight crew was made aware of the situation, and I was treated as though I had done something seriously wrong simply for trying to make sure my pregnant wife was okay. I was effectively singled out by the crew for the remainder of the flight. There was also no Wi-Fi available, meaning I could not even message my wife to check on her. Traveling can already be stressful, and friendly, professional customer service goes a long way in helping passengers navigate unexpected issues. I flew China Southern Airlines from New York to China. We had a layover in Wuhan. The agent booking the initial flight from NYC didn't give us enough time to clear immigration, reclaim our bags, and check them back in. So we ended up missing our flight. China Southern rebooked our entire party on the next available plane which luckily was 3 hours later. They did this change without additional cost to us. I thought that was amazing because they did not have to do that! The flight attendants were excellent. They responded promptly and efficiently to everyone who pushed the call button. They anticipated passenger needs before they arose. The seats were large enough to make the 14-hour flight as comfortable as possible. Every seat has their own entertainment with a nice selection of movies, TV shows, and games. They kept the passengers stocked with pillows and blankets. They fed us multiple times and the food was relatively decent. The flights left on time and arrived early for the most part. On the way back to the States, I was able to speak with the ticket agent and they checked our bags all the way through which should have been done initially by the agent who booked our tickets so China Southern arranged that for us as well. I have nothing but good things to say about China Southern Airlines and I would fly them again :-)

The first time, we were on a very old airplane. It was about a 10-hour flight from JFK to Tel Aviv, so it would have been nice to have had some entertainment. There was a TV screen from 1984 on the back of every chair, and it played movies that kept cycling through, AKA you could not control the start or end time of it. Coming home, we were on what I was told was a Dreamliner, and it was very modern and much better. Each seat comes equipped with an iPad type of screen and there was a large selection of movies, TV shows, and even books to choose from. The food was actually very good for the most part, for breakfast yesterday they fed us omelets and I don't eat eggs, so I asked for something else, but they didn't have an alternate (they said they had ran out). Since I can't eat dairy either, and the breakfast consisted of yogurt and other dairy things, I was stuck eating the bread and the small cookie. On the newer plane that we got, the seats reclined far back, which I thought was a good thing at first... Until the rude passenger in front of me put her seat down all the way for the entire 12-hour flight. I initially asked her to move it up a little bit and she did move it all the way up (more than I expected). Later, she reclined all the way back again, and I asked her to move it up a little, to which she flatly replied, No. She must have told the flight attendant that I asked her this, too, because the flight attendant then asked me not to "tell" her that she has to put her seat up. (I didn't TELL, I asked....) Other than that, the trip home was much better than the trip there, due to the modern plane and the snacks and amenities offered.

I'll wait (I did already for so long). Yup, that's right, 0. We literally sat there from 11:20pm through 1:10am with not one announcement. So we finally take off, things are fine. About seven hours in, the elderly woman next to me tried to in-recline her seat in business class. Nope. Unsuccessful. So the staff comes and tries to fix it for ten minutes while she's standing next to them. She's 80 for chrissakes. Let the woman sit. So after over 20 minutes of this, they offer her first class, she wants to stay with her family, so they give her my seat and I take the first class seat. Yay. It's so....average. Literally the only difference between first class and business class is more leg room and better waitstaff. It's not special. So super long story long, coach would have been a nightmare, entertainment doesn't exist (there's a TV but it one from the 1980s with programming from the 19th century), there's no Wifi or outlets for an 11 hour plus flight, and the food isn't good. So why two stars? Well the seats are comfortable. I slept better on that plane than I do in my bed. I wouldn't go at all in coach, but business class is fine. And I felt safe which can't be understated. Back again and it's worse than last time. 2.5 hour delay with no announcement why. So for three flights, I've had waits of 1, 1.5 and 2.5 hours, respectively, and numbers of announcements of 0,0 and 0. My friend is in coach and he says that it stinks unbearably. It's also very warm, as the air isn't on despite us being on the plane for twenty minutes. I'm still not going to give it 1 star since I sleep so well in business class on these recliners, but this airline doesn't have much else going for it.

Called the number online Austrian Airlines listed as 1 (800) 843-0002. Pressed 2 for United States, received message, "for organizational reasons, you will be redirected to Luftansa." I spoke with two representatives for which when they went to try to book the line was connected but remained silent - they didn't respond further without telling me to hold. I then called back and spoke with a lovely man Derriek who was reportedly able to make the reservation and took my credit card information, but didn't give me a confirmation #. I called back and rep Porgy said he could not find my reservation. I requested to speak with a supervisor Gabby who also could not find my reservation and said we could try to rebook so in the process of checking flights and giving her all our information, she kindly went to check how much extra baggage would be, but then returned and noted that since it was an austrian air flight, she could not book for us (?!!!) She said I would need to call Austrian Air. When I told her that I DID call Austrian Air and that the phone redirected me to her organization which I thought was Luftansa. I asked for Austrian Air's number and she gave me516.738.4422. I called that number and received a recording that it was a customer feedback line to which no live person would answer (!!!) I left a message to notify them of the issues. I then resorted to a travel agency. However, when just double checking if the Austrian Air number really did route to Luftansa, I got representative named John, who said they were a "Miles and More" Star Alliance center who would be able to book any of the star alliance airlines including Austrian Air and Luftansa. But THAT call got disconnected. This was so crazy and wasted hours of my day. I'm very disappointed by these airlines and wish they had the decency to at least be upfront about whether they could book or not and do it in a timely/professional fashion.

Lots of 'B' movies and TV. 3- Poor quality food: Vegetarian dinner was simply pasta and tomato sauce- no vegs, no nothing. Breakfast was a hard sweet roll and the coffee was beyond awful 4- Filthy/dirty bathrooms! On most other airlines, the staff will check periodically to make sure the bathrooms are bearably clean. NOT on Austrian. How utterly disgusting after many hours in the air! 5- Hot and stuffy in the cabin with no ability to manually adjust air flow above our heads and the staff kept it warm- probably in the 80s. Who can sleep in such heat?? 6- Check in at the Vienna airport for Austrian Airlines is incredibly barebones. No personnel to check you in. Instead you must use the confusing machines, with only one assistant to help people use the many kiosks. The only personnel are the 2 people to receive your checked-in luggage. The Austrian Airlines experience was so poor that I now dread using them again if I want to return to Vienna. I probably would even chose using Luthansa with a stop, in order to avoid this really terrible airline!

Flight from JFK to Guiyang via Chongqing and Shenzhen. Zero stars if I could. JFK flight was very…read morecrowded and service as barely existent. Movie monitor paused every 15 seconds. I would not recommend this airline unless you have no other options. My connecting flight from Chongqing to Shenzhen sat on runway for 4 hours. This delay gave me little time to change over to the Guiyang flight. Hainan flight staff offered to have ground staff meet me at the gate in Shenzhen to get me to my Guiyang flight upon arrival. But there was no one to meet me at the gate and was told to go to the baggage claim to get my luggage, re-enter and re-check bags in the departure level. Thus missed the flight and Hainan handed me off to China Southern Airline, another mainland carrier with horrible service who botched my ticket. Overall a very negative experience. Very dishonest customer service too. Good luck if you have any problems because they do not know how to do anything but lie.
