Strawberry Matcha and pistachio cream cheesecake
Suzanne H.

Great soft opening. Service was good and met the owner whom was very nice and wanted to know what we thought. Everything was delicious. I was happy with my pistachio cheesecake and strawberry matcha.

The cookie butter croissant may be the best thing I've eaten in a long time. Coffee has a lovely spice and is HOT.

Qahwah House is definitely a one-stop shop for all your coffee, matcha, and pastry needs. I am normally a matcha girly, but when I saw that the pistachio latte was a best seller, I knew I needed to try it. Glad I did cause 10/10, highly recommend! And for someone who doesn't normally like pumpkin spice, their latte was surprisingly comforting. My bf said the Yemeni latte was the perfect balance for someone who normally likes his coffee black. Strong coffee, creative flavors and whatever they did with the pistachio... keep doing it! Literally the best I've ever had. The pastries were soooooo yummy. We originally wanted two but the date cake/ice cream combo kept calling us. The white chocolate pistachio had a berry like filling in the middle that paired perfectly with the white chocolate mousse. But the honeycomb.... I almost fought my bf for trying to take another bite! The cheese is subtle and the honey pairs so well with it. I think this is a newer spot, but from the looks of it... the people who know about it really love it and come back. Atmosphere is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Bathrooms were clean and they have a bidet in there if that's your thing, lol. Staff were friendly and you can see them preparing drinks behind the glass wall, which I liked because you could also see how clean and organized everything was. Anytime we're back in town, this is the place we'll be stopping at for drinks and pastries!

Finally tried the third Yemeni Coffee spot in Latham! Delicious coffee and organic! I didn't try the pastries this time but I look to trying them on another visit. I love Yemeni coffee and I wish I could drink it every day. The atmosphere is attractive and spacious. It's so nice to be in a nice setting.

Pretty sure it's a chain and I've been to another one. That being said it's super clean and has a ton of options. The vegan cappuccino cake was a tad dry but the rose matcha had the perfect amount of rose--didn't smell or taste like soap. And the bathroom had a bidet! Cute touch.

Clean, welcoming atmosphere with present employees who are patient and kind. The desserts look incredible! The coffee smells so delicious! Great large location with plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. There seems to be wonderful thought into creating this space. I'm grateful.

Got the brown sugar latte, amazing and great service .

Professor Java's was one of the first businesses I reviewed on Yelp. But shame on me for not…read morefollowing up when their Wolf Rd. site closed. I didn't realize they had reopened until I saw them next to the relocated Penzey's. Hooray! Two things I miss from the old location are the ability to buy coffee beans, and the more eclectic layout. No worries about the beans these days. Their new site is a much more regular layout, but it's more than adequately compensated by a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere, with more space behind the counter to prepare foods. And that counter holds a lot of other confections as well. Their regular coffee is a bit mild, but there's so many other options if you want to vary your coffee's strength and flavor. I liked the variety of teas available too (mostly hot, but some iced). Service is attentive, and your orders come out quickly. This remains a great alternative to other fast food options along Wolf Rd.

Class is in session!…read more I needed to find my morning Java fix while in Albany and Professor Java's Coffee Sanctuary was just the spot for my coffee education. Walking in, this spot is a mad scientist lab. Large roasters are front and center, this isn't a classroom but a coffee laboratory! Nice folks behind the counter greeted me each morning as I placed my order. The roast on their coffee had me coming back daily. You might say it was my (pinkie to lip) Coffee Sanctuary?? Professor Java? You earned that title, I enjoyed my daily visits.

Every season something new happens at FFF. This year, they are experimenting with a self-serve farm…read morestand on days when we can't make the pop-up markets on occasional Saturdays. I don't know if it's a placebo effect but everything I've ever purchased at FFF has been phenomenal. Knowing the produce is grown on the premises makes it taste better? It could sway my opinion to a more positive direction but there is no arguing with the sweetness of freshly picked sugar snap peas. I started snacking on them on the drive home and could barely stop myself. The clean earthiness of small beets, small enough to leave the skins on and roast them. Tastes like clean dirt. Love that. There was also a varietal of bok choy. Salt, olive oil, oven for a few minutes. That...just that...was dinner. It's a weird thing to taste how far away I've come from locally grown food; to have my tastes muted by a commercially grown industry. FFF food is like coming home to where we belong.

I knew nothing about this place when my wife suggested for a surprise lunch on a Saturday…read moreafternoon, and we had to rush over as they have limited hours. It was cold and raining outside and I was happy to get out of it and relax. Sadly, I quickly found out her surprise involved eating outside under a tent in the cold and rain on a November day. Sigh. At least they had blankets on the benches. We ordered in the far tent and the menu board was both helpful (it listed everything in each entree, including onions) and annoying (it indicated no substitutions were allowed, including onions). Not to be deterred, I picked the pepperoni pizza with hot honey, basil and Calabrian chili peppers. My wife ordered the Margherita pizza. Both were ready in about 15 minutes, but upon delivery to our table it became clear that a couple of things were off. First, my wife's pizza was cold and mine was pipping hot. Second, mine had so much basil- which in places was left in 2-3 leaf bunches- that perhaps they just cleaned out the pantry for the last order of the day. The crust in spots were burned, but I could live with that. However, it was so floppy that it couldn't be picked up under any condition. Everything but the outer inch of crust was like a thin wet tortilla. And their plastic cutlery wasn't up to the challenge, ripping the pizza toppings off and turning my pizza into a casserole. That being said, the flavors were wonderful on my pizza. The hot honey made for a really tasty flavor balance, and the copious amounts of curling pepperoni were a nice change of pace from the cheap stuff. The peppers were good too, and I wish I could source some locally. My wife's pizza was okay, though the whole mozzarella clumps reminded of dollops of Ricotta and they were very cold as if they were added after baking. Odd. I don't mind paying for expensive pizza if it is good. I am also not a pizza snob and will gladly eat subpar pizza. But, to overpay ($26 for mine alone) for pizza that is just a mess in a cardboard box rubs me the wrong way. The same goes for buying ($24) a cold pizza. The dessert we ordered was a Paris-Brest, and being a choux fan I absolutely loved it. Delicious with hints of coffee, almonds, nuts, and some flavorings I couldn't place, I would quickly come back here just for that. As for their pizza, I just don't know. On a nice pleasant day it would be fun, but too many mistakes on our pizzas makes me leery of ordering them again for those prices.

The tea was wonderful and our lunch items came quickly and were tasty. We asked to keep a menu, explaining we would like to get dessert after. Once we we received our lunch food, it quickly went downhill. We never saw our waitress again after that. My son finished his Boba tea and wanted another, but our waitress never came over to check on us. We sat for over 40 minutes after we recieved our initial order and not one waitstaff came over to ask if we wanted anything else, nor did they come over to give us the check. After giving up hope of dessert and more tea, we eventually went to the front counter to pay since we realized no one was coming to give us the bill. Normally, I would understand if it was understaffed or busy- yet the two parties next to us had waitstaff come over numerous times. We were literally ignored. We won't be back and I do not recommend.

The tender moist beef slices on a roll were very good. The Ginger dressing on the salad was flavorful, and I wish I could buy it to elevate salads at home.
