I kind of don't like giving this place 3 stars. The whole bar is great, I love the vibe, the music, and the staff. However, the cues were in horrible condition. I went through a whole wall of cues (at least 10) and absolutely all of them were either bent, had a busted tip, or were cracked. Anyone who remotely cares about actually playing a game of pool would agree that this is unacceptable and makes it straight up non-playable. You wouldn't play baseball with a cracked bat, tennis with a bent racket, or ping pong with a stripped paddle, etc. you get the idea. And since this is a review for the billiard portion of the bar then I cannot in good conscience give it more than 3 stars. It's not even cheap (around $25/hour at the time of writing this if I remember it correctly) and that place is always packed so I don't understand why does this even need to be brought up. I hope the management gets their priorities right because I do really like this spot. read more

I enjoy this spot. This is my 3rd time here and finally tried their food menu. The mozzarella sticks were delicious as you can tell. The extra Parmesan on top made it so much better. Their carne asada fries, I recommend, fries are steak fries, thickk. Food came out quick and HOT. The servers checked on us frequently to make sure we didn't need anything. The atmosphere is cool, enjoying your party with your group. They always play a variety of music that everyone loves and just are undeniable bangers. the Dj needs a raise. Drinks are 10/10 here and bartenders are usually cool and sociable and real. read more

I came here on a Thursday and came with my registered service dog. I'm somebody that suffers from Tourette's syndrome, I have a smaller dog that had identification and was completely bombarded at the door by security, who then requested me to show my identification, and I showed my identification and the manager namej Lucia Z a very tall, beautiful blonde woman came over and immediately started yelling at me. I was very taken back, not only by the fact that I was being yelled at but that she was completely disregarding my dogs identification. I then showed her the picture that was right outside the security door and showed her that my dog was serviced based on my identification, and she denied me.. I understand my dog is small, but knowing that he is still serviced, I felt she discriminated me and my dog. They weren't very nice about it and instead they embarrassed me in front of people that came to visit and I was just trying to play a game of pool. I take my dog with me everywhere for my serious condition whether or not he's a big dog or not he was still service dog and he is very much help for me. It's unfortunate as a local of Santa Monica that I cannot enjoy myself inside establishments that are down the block. I just like to say for everybody else that it is 2025 and yes, people have service dogs of all sizes and ages. I think it's unfortunate for somebody with a blonde hair to decide whether or not my dog is up service I could've had a great night and she definitely ruined it and embarrassed it for me thank you read more

My partner and I have come here many times. It is what it is, a no frills place to play pool. We have always overlooked the filthy floors, unpainted walls, broken cues, and pockets with holes in them. But unfortunately we can't overlook the rudeness of the so called host on Friday night who spoke to us so out of line about getting balls from her (a first in the 10 times we have been), we will never go back. if there was ever a place that needed bar rescue, this is it. it's a dive (and i like a dive), but honestly it's filthy, busted and now it's customer service is even worse than its ambiance...i'll take my money elsewhere. read more

Not LGBTQ friendly. Specifically, the Security and Management that was working this past Saturday night is Not LGBT friendly. Did not realize a hate crime was happening and said a man was being respectful after I told them that he threatened to hit me in the gut with his pool stick because we're too close to the pool table. We were not. We were up against another table bc it was clear they didn't want us to be there. The server/hostess Wendy was kind and the only one who apologized for the event. The manager who has been standing by the whole time during my explanation did not say anything or do anything to support me and my friends. Did not offer a refund on the cover charge or drinks. Not even an apology. We saw ourselves out. And won't be back. Just letting the community know. The atmosphere and management is not safe for queer folks. read more

If you really love playing pool, just know that many people here don't really understand or care about pool etiquette. If you're not playing (and PAYING) to play pool or if you're waiting for a table, you should be waiting out of the way. This place is a bar first and a pool hall second. People that come here don't care to give you some space. They don't care if they take up your space when there are so many other areas to be sitting or hanging out! When my husband and I arrive we check in with the host or bartender to get on a waiting list and we wait away from tables until called. We don't walk in the place, stroll up on people while they are clearly in the middle of playing, and ask them "Are you still using this table?" and then take up the table closest to their pool table, to just sit there and drink and making them say "excuse me" every single time they want to take a corner shot. There were PLENTY of other areas to hang out and sit at a table where you're not that blocking people's shots. Well, I finally lost my cool about this one night, so I was the wrong crazy one and security IMMEDIATELY sided with the group at the table because "all tables and areas are common areas." I should not have lost my cool, and just dealt with it like I always do, so I was wrong there, but we play in other pool halls where you don't have to deal with this. But I just got so sick of when larger groups hang around our table because they want to take over it when were are done. They awkwardly hover around in the way to make it so uncomfortable for you to get your shots until you finally get pissed and you look like the crazy one. It's called getting PUSHED OUT. It is a passive-aggressive move and it works. I had to post this again because my first post is not showing and was probably blocked or removed somehow but this post at least gets my point across. Pool tables are affordable. Drinks are reasonably priced and strong. Love coming here when it opens at 6, basically have the place to ourselves. Great place to meet up with friends or throw a small gathering. read more

This bar is located up stairs to 2 other bars and the service was good i would say and the drinks were very good except that everything is extremely sticky and dirty and seems like no one ever cleans and it also smells like a dirty restroom read more

Great, fun date place or putting with a group of friends. It resembles a speakeasy kind of old timey- very cool spot and nice pool tables. Downside, it gets packed and the staff doesn't clear the glasses off the tables enough. They pile up so finding a spot to put your drink down might be a challenge but other than that it's a cool spot. read more

Great atmosphere & friendly/nice bartenders. I'm not sure why it has such bad reviews. Fun date night spot, even if you're not good at pool.

Pool tables are nice but the later it gets the louder the music gets to the point you can hardly talk to one another. The worst part is by far is the tiny dirty bathrooms.Overall not the worst place, but won't be back anytime soon. read more

Horrible spot if you are looking to have a relaxing and good time. My wife and I got there and waited for about 10 minutes for a table. Not bad, and we got a great table. Everything was going great until a group of about 6 six guys and girls came in and crowded our table. We literally had to say "excuse me" on every shot and they acted all mad because of it. My wife and I were there first and paid for the pool table and this group just moved on in and crowded us and were waiting for our table. We were planning on playing pool for a while and having more drinks and giving our hard earned money to this place. However, finally we had enough and asked them if they can move to an OPEN area where people usually wait until they are called, at which they got aggressive with us and said we have been here and you didn't say anything before. Maybe because we thought they would not be so disrespectful and not get in our way on every shot and we were "ok" with them waiting until we were done. So, it got to be too much and we asked them if they could go somewhere else until we were done, at which point they became aggressive and started yelling at my wife. I was scared that I was going to get into a fight with somebody.!! Some people came that were apparently security??? "SECURITY" CAME AND KICKED US OUT, EVEN THOUGH WE WERE THE ONES WHO PAID AND SHOULD NOT HAVE FELT PRESSURE TO LEAVE BY A GROUP OF SIX OTHER PEOPLE!!!!! This place needs to do better on what areas people can wait in and what areas will get in the way of PAYING CUSTOMERS!! It is not right when you get to a place first and wait for a spot and then you feel pressured6c by a group and then "security " tells YOU that YOU need to leave and YOU are the problem.
