I went to this salon because the other one was jam packed. The ladies greeted me and asked me what…read moreI wanted to do. I told then I wanted to try the acrylic ones having seen them on it. The lady insisted I get the SNS type since it was so much better so I asked her if it's a similar price and she just said yes without giving me a price. I sat down. The whole process took about 45mins with the additional length that was added. Overall I'm satisfied with the way it looks, but would have been nice to know what I was paying at the end.

This review is as completely honest as it would have been had I paid full price. Staff were not aware I was reviewing their services at the time. I called to book my appointment for a mani/pedi and hung up before realising I wasn't asked for my name or contact number. However, this wasn't an issue when I arrived and, after my feedback, has been addressed with staff. There is a decent range of colours to choose from; mostly OPI and some Essie (possibly China Glaze as well but can't confirm). There's also a good selection of fun glitter and textured polishes which I find can be lacking in other salons. I chose regular polish but I could see what looked to be a good range of shellac and gel polishes also if that's your thing. I was shortly called through to a pedicure chair and enjoyed the foot spa and massage chair action while I was waiting. The filing, shaping and sole scrub all went well (apart from the usual squirming during the ticklish sole scrub). The cuticle scrape and trim also went well and I was happy to not have any bleeding cuticles this time as I find quite often happens. The leg scrub is still quite vigorous and borders on painful and unfortunately the rinse off jet was initially scalding hot to the point of burning and made me jump and yell. A little refinement in this area would make it more enjoyable. A hot towel wipe off was a nice touch. It was then time to move over to the manicure station and the same technician performed my manicure. One unusual thing was that she pushed my cuticles back with her own thumb nail which I'd never seen before but actually preferred as being a gentler alternative to the scraper. Drying is the old school fan method and a coat of finishing spray to end. The horrendous easy listening muzak that I was subjected to during the last visit is "burned and buried" and entertainment was the Victoria's Secret runway shows on TV which was an improvement, even if I did have to tolerate a live performance by Justin Beiber. I was impressed that Anthony had taken the time to contact me via Yelp and was seeking feedback on the changes he was making to the business. This shows a strong desire to improve and an understanding that the customer experience is vital to success!

It's all in the name! Offering pure indulgence, these wonderful ladies treated me so beautifully…read morefrom the moment I entered the salon. In fact, their service and warm helpfulness began on the phone. Referred by a friend, I phoned looking for a short notice booking for myself and two girlfriends. We wanted to all have facials at the same time, prior to my friend's wedding the following day. They bent over backwards to accommodate us and after some creative juggling on their part, sorted us out a booking just when we wanted it and complete with a private room so we could bring our own champagne and nibbles. We each had a facial in succession, while the other two stayed in the 'champagne room'. So we were there over 3 hours and they made us feel so welcome and pampered. Each spa treatment begins with a foot spa, which feels amazing. New clients fill in a questionnaire based on Ayeurvedic principles and temperaments, to determine the type of aromatherapy oils and blends that are most suitable. A complimentary hot beverage is also part io the treatment as is a small gift pack of products and information on the first visit. Their marketing materials could be the subject of a 'this is how you should do it' masterclass. The treatment room is dimly lit with candles, smells divine, has unusual and pretty ornaments and features as well as relaxing music. I saw Kerri who just made me float away with serenity. She was sensitive and professional. All of us came out absolutely glowing and our skin felt sensational! I felt compelled to return the following week for a full body aromatherapy massage and saw Rose, who was also sensitive and professional. The care and attention as well as the take-away feeling of utter relaxation and rejuvenation is just amazing. I can't recommend them too highly. The salon offers a range of services including beauty treatments, the patented Anastasia brow treatments, hair and nails. Can't wait to book in again. I could get used to a life filled with L'indulgence!

Small nail salon that takes Thursday night walk ins (YAY!) and generally can squeeze in a booking…read moreat the last minute. You know what I love? Having great nails despite constant scrubbing and cleaning involved in my job. Unfortunately the only way to achieve that is to file down your natural little nails and stick hard plastic or gel coats atop them and hope you don't snap one. I've payed through the nose for them before and on a recommendation I came here hoping to walk out with a snazzy set of gel nails. Absolutely hectic this place was killing it with a line out the front. The price quoted was half of what I had payed in Norwood so that set me off on a good foot, "But Carla...why the two stars?" you may ask... well welcome to my hell. The girl who started on me was quiet and quick, she went to check her phone under the table, dropped it and then got another lady to finish the job. This second girl was pretty grumpy about that and was super rough, grabbed the cuticle remover and plucked at the sides of my fingers really hard and drew blood on a few. Here I was thinking "hey, whatever it's super cheap I can deal with a few bandaids". Payed them with a smile pretty stoked and walked off happy as Larry though sore. HELLO INFECTION. I went home and my fingers were throbbing, I had a few days off ahead of me and thank god for that because I wouldn't have been able to work otherwise (occ health and safety as well as the fact as I was a thumbless invalid for two days). My thumb swelled up so much I couldn't use it to draw, I couldn't touch anything without excruciating pain and my pinky followed. Pus, redness, looking it up I had got an infection from them breaking the precious skin around my nail too deeply. Mortified I slathered it with antibacterial cream, went on antibiotics and hey presto, sorted within a few days once I had the infection under control. That was a month ago and I was reluctant to post this but Yelp is all about giving people your experience of a place and if I'd read about how rough they were I would just have asked them not to use the clippers. I will probably come back because of convenience though I will tell them to go nowhere near my cuticles and it's worth a try though I strongly suggest you ask the same. Again nice place, convenient just can be a bit rough which causes infections next to the nail. I don't know much about nails etc so correct me if I am mistaken.
