So the other day I decided I needed a change and I thought I'd give C Salon a go. My only other experience was about 5 years ago (who knows if it's still the same salon). Three friends all getting our formal makeup done, and the salon kindly fixed up a friend's hair emergency free of charge. So fast forward to 2012 and I was after a cut, colour, and severe thinning of my hair. I was presented with a colour book and Kerri helped me figure out what I was after. There was no hard sell, I wasn't pressured into anything I didn't want, and when I asked to keep my length I kept it. I didn't even get a lecture for trimming my own fringe for the past year, that's always a win in my book!

The staff are all skilled and I have never had an issue with anyone there cutting, dying and styling my hair. The prices are reasonable, much better than a number of salons I have been to. Always made to feel welcome here. Car parking is easy too. They are a small locally owned salon which I love.

I love the friendly homely atmosphere here. The girls are so much fun and you always have a good time. We end up having some of the oddest conversations. Nothing worse than having someone you can't talk to and feel comfortable with that close in your personal space, coz let's fact it, not like they can cut your hair from a metre away. You never feel uncomfortable there or like you are being rushed through. They always offer you a drink and if you're real lucky (or if you take your child in....) they might bring out the lolly jar! They have a lot of regulars and seem to remember not only all of us, but also all about our families and lives as well. The therapy of a hairdresser........priceless! That is purely unprofessional. When I asked if they can measure my hair or trim it before the treatment (I was happy to pay for the trim), she gave me the option to leave without refunding my money.

I thought it was rude and unprofessional, and it doesn't seem like they understand the concept that without the customer, there is no business. The entire time, I was wondering what they would be saying about me after I left. They also made several snarky remarks about my hair while I was in the chair and made me feel uncomfortable. In the end, I was overcharged for something they claimed they used on my hair, but I know they didn't. I didn't see the point in arguing, but I won't be going back.

They dont train their staff correctly. And still use hand held piercing devices which are piercing guns and not safe at all. Do your research and dont get pierced here. Whike there are some lovely staff members here they are not trained in correct body piercing saftey standards and its too much of a risk! Titanium jewellery is advertised here but it is not implant grade therefore not safe for wear inside the body nor approved by the Association of professional piercers. Please dont risk getting pierced here. A cheap piercing isnt a quality nor safe piercing.
