Recently purchased a lake home. Found that mice and bugs are a part of lake life. Started to work…read morewith a larger pest control company, used by past owner, and found that they were unresponsive and inflexible. This was not our full time residence so needed the travel time figured into initial visit. They refused to work with us and just wanted a contract signed with no clear plan for how future visits would be handled. I went to Google and found Jonathon and his company "Best Defense". Jonathon answered his phone directly. Gave me a day that he was available and an approximate arrival time. The day he was to arrive, he sent me a text to confirm he would be there in approximately 20 minutes. We walked the interior and exterior of property and he told me what to expect and how he could help me. Jonathon quoted me a price and never asked me to sign a contract. The best part, when I asked when he could come and start the work, Jonathon said he could perform the work that day. 30 days later....No mice, very few spiders (thank God), and minimal mosquito activity. I'm not sure you can ever eliminate every spider or mosquito but I no longer spend every morning cleaning spider webs off my deck, patio, and furniture. Jonathon said he would return in 30 days to spray and check mouse tracks. He sent me a text the week he was to return and asked what day worked best for me. So cool!!!! If you are frustrated with your current pest control company - please give Jonathon a call.

After seeking help from a local pest control company, I ended up with this outfit who apparently…read morebought the local guy out. Instead of one charge for one visit to remove house mice, in order to get that, I had to sign up for 5 more treatments, which I neither wanted nor needed, at $149.00 each, or $895.00. And after all but one of these, I had an infestation of a swarm of yellow jackets inside the house. This company is brazenly stealing money. Every treatment appears to take no longer than 20 minutes. They sweep down cobwebs outside, but there are still spiders in the house and garage. The mice haven't returned, but the yellow jackets can cause destruction from within the walls, which is apparently how they are entering. A professional pest control company would have prevented this from happening. Pictures attached. Please be careful of this company. They are out for money while NOT getting rid of pests as they claim. I believe they are running a scam because the contract is self-renewing, just like internet scams.

Batzner used to be a nice, locally run exterminator. They have now been sold off to…read moreWil-Kil/Terminex, Rentokill, a huge conglomerate of exterminators run out of Pennsylvania. Since this merger, I have had nothing but trouble. They continuously notify me that my account is in arrears. When I speak to someone (after 5 minutes of pushing appropriate buttons on my phone), they say, oh yeah, I see your invoice is paid. We won't call you again. And yet, they do . . . again and again. I just received a call from someone to call regarding the invoice and when I called the number they gave me I got a message that that number is "no longer in service." I'm requesting my money back and will find a local family-run business! STay away from Batzner!

Sales person took a large sum payment from my wife. Oversold the "infestation" as we were told by…read moretech doing initial treatment. Several issues with this company: 1. Very poor explanation of services when purchasing. Paperwork is also very vague-could be itemized so customer can see exactly what large sum covers. When called, Company refers questions to the "portal" which contains the very same paperwork. We were told the inital visit would likely be two techs and expect them to be in and out of the house for half a day. 2. Initial treatment visit-tech told us he was unimpressed by the pest activity we were told we had. He spent approximately one hour outside only. Per service receipt, he sprayed for some ants, applied a bit of spray foam and dropped two mousetraps. 3. Same tech, during the "securing the premises" process, proceeded to stuff steel wool into GAS WATER HEATER and FURNACE VENTS as well as Sump Pump pipe. This was all discovered by Furnace Repair Tech who was subsequently contacted as the furnace was not operating following this visit. He promptly removed all blockages and furnace worked fine. Pretty sure the Gas company frowns on this practice. My advice: Call someone who knows what they are doing.

Because she is simply amazing and very knowledgeable. Sam is organized and keeps us in the loop with her routes every season. We've worked with her for a few years now and it has been amazing. Very affordable and responsive via text or call. My suggestion to future customers, be as clear and concise on what you want to avoid miscommunication (as this is typical with any company you work with). Be kind because we are all human and not perfect. We haven't had a chance to work with anyone else from this company but if Sam is a representation of the others, they are on fire!
