It's sooo hard, near impossible to find a restaurant that is organic, seed oil free, grass fed etc. So it was a breath of fresh air to talk to the owner, she's so passionate about health, wellness and whole foods. And the food was incredible. So fresh, cooked perfectly, seasoned well. We got a mix of perogies, the cabbage rolls and borscht. I haven't had perogies in years despite loving them and wowww these were so delicious...just wow. We had each flavor and they were all so good. The cabbage rolls, I wasn't expecting it to come with mashed potatoes and veggies but it was all insanely tasty. The borscht was good as well, very clean and light tasting. Since then we've also tried the roast pork, the potato cakes and the kielbasa in a bun...all incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place. It's a little food truck parked in the blackbird parking lot. Which is nice to be able to walk around the store while you wait for your food.

The dog itself is delicious, clearly high grade, flavorful well cooked meat. I believe it's even local! The toppings? Man, it would be easy to skimp out with cheap Sysco garbage, but this guy clearly is of higher moral standing and brings the goods! Even the bun is beautiful artisanal bread that provides the perfect substrate for it's enrobed cylindrical delicacy. To eat one of these hotdogs is like having God touch your tongue and tell you He loves you. Even the owner is a delight! Clearly excited about and proud what he does, he's eager to tell you all about the ingredients, their origin & terroir and well as making sure you're completely satisfied. You Lucky Dog is a grade A establishment with fantastic fare and friendly faces. If you have the chance to eat here and do not, you have actively robbed yourself and are poorer for it.
