Birchwood shopping centre is in dire need of a facelift, it's run down and often looks in need of a…read moregood clean. However it is convenient for the local area, inside is an Asda and Iceland aswell as some chain stores such as New Look and Argos. Parking is free and there is plenty of it, making it easy to come here. The shops tend to be the cheaper end of the high street stores, newsagents, charity and sports shops. At Christmas they often have a small grotto and a Santa which is nice for the children. Birchwood shopping centre is probably not somewhere you would go Saturday shopping, the range of shops is just too small but it is nice to have a quick look around the shops if you are going to one of the supermarkets anyway.

Much better instead to drive to Birchwood Station, fairly close to the M62, park there (the car park always seems to have spaces to spare), and then catch one of the frequent trains to Liverpool: problem solved. Birchwood station itself is small but clean and tidy, with good signage and information about departures. The ticket office doesn't seem to be manned very often but the ticket machines (once you've mastered them) do the job. All in all: a good place.

It is clean and tidy with plenty of seats to sit down. Not too far is the local market which is open tuesday ,friday and ,sat. in the square its self there is a cafe and outdoor seating for the bay tree cafe. Northwich itself has lots of big shops, m&s , boots,superdrug,currys and WHS. northwich is all free parking at the moment.

Prices are generally high-end and it is not a place where you would typically go to do your weekend shopping. The mall consists of mainly clothes shops, jewellery stores and several cafes. There is a lower and upper floor where you can access via escalator or lift and public seats where you can take a rest bite or read a newspaper. In terms of the layout, it is fairly attractive to the eye and has a clean, bright and fresh look to it. It's a fine area to relax with comfortable seats, spacious surroundings and soothing music but I would not go here to shop.

It has been owned by Debenhams since 1976, yet the store is fairly old being founded in 1780, while it doesn't seem to compare to the older department stores in London, it still is a fairly nice branch, you can enter the store through street-level or through the Grosvenor Shopping Centre. The store is pretty old and you can tell that through shopping inside, they have random sets of steps and ramps all over, so it isn't just one straight/flat level, so do be careful where you're walking to avoid tripping. They had a huge clearance sale on my visit, due to Debenhams' facing difficulties and having to close many of their stores, including this one, I still found many of their prices to be high even after the discount, I found the promotional offers to be inconsistent and it was hard to tell what item costs what as each part of the store/product range would have a different % off. The store did seem a little messy, but it did have some good products overall and it is nice to see they haven't ignored the history, it's a shame to see this store earmarked for closure as although it isn't perfect, it is and remains a nice addition to the town centre. 3*

This place really is fantastic for womens clothes - like debenhams it has all the usual brands such as Jane Norman and Oasis, and it has a great underwear section with huge variety of pretty knickers. It also has a wedding section with loads of higher quality dresses. Of course these come with a higher price tag that the high street stuff that can be found there but this is where I would come to look for something to wear for a special occasion.

It also has a lot of parking spaces and generally is a lot quieter thean cheshire oaks itself, so if you're happy to walk it can mean getting a decent parking space to go over the cheshire oaks. Its also right next to the food section with the cinema so is perfectly placed between the two for a good afternoon out.

Borders bookstore is a must. It also has a huge boots which is much better than any of the other boots in the neighbourhood. It could be better lit and sign-posted in the car-park area, especially for pedestrians as it did seem a little dangerous for me, as I struggled to find my way out. Pretty much an average ASDA, the selection was fine, I also like the Scan and Go app where you can use your mobile phone to scan items as you shop, to save time at the checkouts. The staff could have been slightly more helpful in regards to finding items. 3* - OK sums it up, multiple better ASDA stores (or supermarkets) in the area to do your shopping, but it's in a good location and useful for the people of Warrington.

An interesting format of a Tessuti store, located opposite the Grosvenor Balcony on Bridge Street,…read moreyou enter on a standard floor which is pretty small before going up a couple of steps and then even more steps, the store basically works out to be 2.5 floors, sadly there isn't a lift however which I was told was down to it being a listed building and it being impossible, but with Chester being an old city with many old buildings, this is sadly similar to many other stores within the city centre. While the store wasn't as modern and didn't follow the regular traditional Tessuti layout, it still was a rather nice store and it did have a decent selection, yet sadly it again didn't compare to my local store in Manchester which is actually a slightly smaller store, yet seems to have a larger selection of goods in terms of selection, as many items I saw seemed to be repeated which I guess just means they have a better selection of sizes, which honestly is pretty good too but it's about finding that balance. The staff member working, a woman who I presume was in a managerial or supervisory position was really friendly and offered to go around the store on the higher floors so I wouldn't have to use the steps, for the brands I was looking for, and she also recommended other places within the city centre where I could go, which I felt was rather thoughtful. I did like this Tessuti store too, it was unique within the brand and the staff were probably the best I've seen in a Tessuti store and perhaps even up there as the best I've found in any store owned by JD Sports. 4*
