My family and I were having a funeral reception at the Elks club for my Grandfather today. A 88 year old man who passed away from cancer. He was a celebrated Navy veteran, he loved British Sports cars, and was loved by many people. He was such a great impact in my life, and I am so upset that the business Pyramid Liquor had a negative impact today on our celebration. Due to the amount of visitors coming to celebrate his life the Elks Club parking lot quickly became full, so some individuals did park in the parking lot by the other business located next to Pyramid Liquor. They did not park directly in front of the Pyramid Liquor Store and there were no obvious posted signs stating that these parking spots were only for Pyramid Liquor store customers. The owner of Pryamid Liquor called a towing company, and towed multiple cars, before making anyone at the funeral reception aware that their cars were in the wrong place. During this the employees of Pryamid Liquor sat out front of the store in lawn chairs and not one individual made any friendly attempts to ask people to move their cars. On top of it all, when the employees were asked where the owner was it was made evident that the owner left when the cops and my family and friends were upset and dealing with the towing company and would not be accountable for the chaos he caused. The lack of professionalism and compassion the owner of Pyramid Liquor showed to me and my family today makes it very clear that I will never be shopping at this store again and urge everyone else not to. Being a 21 year old in oneonta I will suggest many other places to my friends. read more
