I read the reviews here on Yelp today in regard to Southern Exposure Sunrooms. We purchased a glass…read moreenclosed sunporch from Southern Exposure 7-8 years ago. We are still 100% satisfied with it. Our sales process, installation process and follow up service (twice in 7 years) has been nothing short of great service. We have always gotten fast responses to calls. Recently, May, April, 2026, we called them for service help with our sliding door coming off the track. They were as courteous and helpful as I remembered in responding to my service call. Nick, the service technician scheduled a visit. He arrived, as scheduled. He was very respectful, cordial and professional. He made some adjustments and told me to call back if any further issues with the sliding door. It worked somewhat well for a couple of days but on the 3rd day, it rode off the track completely. I called Nick back right away. He came back within a day. He changed and reset the track. The door is now working like a brand new sliding door. We were very satisfied with the service that Nick provided. He represented the Southern Exposure Sunrooms company in an exemplary manner. There was a service charge for coming out but it was worth it. I highly recommend this company if you are considering a sunroom or sunroom repairs. We have recommended them to many friends without issues. They have been in Leland, NC for many years. ~S. Waleed of Waterford

I contracted in August and gave my deposit. Requested installation late October. I had to remind…read morethe salesperson to send me the information needed to submit to my HOA. ( seems once he made the sale, I was totally off his radar ) Got an email from the company president in September informing customers they were behind as they had "so many new installs" I wrote back asking if mine was postponed as I had already requested a specific time frame...crickets. I finally got a "my bad" for neither the president nor salesperson responding, but no date. I called sales again on 10/24, no return call. On 10/27 I finally spoke to someone who told me they had my materials and that hopefully, the job would be done by Thanksgiving. I find their communication and follow-up incredibly awful. Here's hoping that things go better when the work is finally done. If so, I will amend this review

I did my research and almost gave up until I found Complete Renovations. First project was a small bathroom for my handicapped husband to see if this was a good fit. The team helped give me a bathroom my husband can not only use, but loves! Their subcontractors/workers were not only some of the most courteous, helpful and friendly people you could meet, but their attention to detail, knowledge and expertise was amazing. Ticking all the boxes and passing with flying colors for reliability, professionalism, communication (big one in renovations Brad and everyone answered any concerns within 24 hours or before!) and respect for my husband's disability (insured no clutter on the floor, creating barrier walls for dust, etc.) we moved on to my kitchen. Having a vision of some of the things I wanted, with the team a plan was drawn up to encompass not only my wish list, but with input from them the transformation was amazing. James and Brad (with input from Courtney and Ashley) took my wishes, added suggestions (which actually improved what I was thinking), helped me pick out the perfect cabinets, backsplash, etc. We moved walls and a door to give me a much needed pantry and opened up the kitchen to the dining/family area to create a kitchen suited for Better Homes and Gardens or Architectural Digest! Thank you all for making my house a home I can enjoy! I am looking forward to our next project!

Trusst Builder Group - Rust stain on sidewalk

    Trusst Builder Group

Someone once told me that a builder is only as good as their worse subcontractor. Hence why I gave…read moreTrusst 2 stars. . I have been in my house for 3 years. Where do I start? I won't go into the awful experience with the sales guy. He soon after left the company. Good news for them. The only thing I found that went well (uneventful) was the design phase because I knew what I wanted. However, since it was my first home build, I didn't realize everything would be builder grade. After all, I had heard Trusst was such a good builder that I did expect junk. Live and learn. For starters, I wanted a few things done or not done -- like no chair rail in my dining room, and a zero-entrance shower. I was told by the design staff to let the project manager know at hand-off. Fine. I did what I was told. At that time, the PM did say that he couldn't do a zero-entrance in the shower (he wouldn't be able to keep water just in the shower area), but would make it lower. Fine. He didn't. I visited the build about once per month. I reminded the PM several times (even in writing) about the chair rail. When we were doing our last walkthrough, the chair rail was installed. When I told him he was not supposed to install that, he told me it was standard and he works by contract, not by emails. All of my handles on my kitchen cabinets were crooked. The towel rack in my bathroom is still not level...The carpet is awful. Most people have replaced theirs in a year. I will be doing that this year. There was paint sprayed all over the floor. I moved in June of 2022. The following summer, my AC stopped working. My air handler pan kept filling up and shutting the system off. Long story short, and after spending $500 for the original installation company to service it, the issue turned out to be a loose connection inside the air handler that was done during install. The return air duct had 5 gallons of water in it - water that had been accumulating for a year. When I was in the garage storage area one day about a year ago, I noticed a wet spot around the main water valve. The connection was loose. Last year, when I had additional insulation installed in the attic, the contract pointed out a leak over the lanai. After contacting a roofer, I found out that the shingles were not installed correctly around the skylights. Plus, the proper membrane was not used under the shingles (not code). I had to have the roof over the lanai replaced after year 2 -- over $2,000... Recently, I was sitting on my front porch and looked up only to see a water stain around one of the can lights. The roofer fixed a nail pop with hopes that fixes the problem. If not, that roof will have to be replaced since, again, the proper membrane was not used over the porch. At just about the end of the one-year warranty period, I discovered the front porch was not graded properly (not away from the house). The guys handling the warranty blew me off. Finally I got to a supervisor and he came out and said that I was correct. He worked with the contractor to fix it. The contractor had to redo it twice. At that time, I pointed out that my driveway and sidewalk had rust stains. The builder blamed it on the lawn maintenance company. I checked with the company applying the fertilizer. He said they stay away from driveways because they would be spending a lot of money cleaning them. It wasn't from fertilizer. In fact, my sidewalk is not close to where the fertilizer is sprayed. It is definitely from rebar. Picture attached. Trusst had a good price point, which is why a lot of people have used them, and it was the reason why I used them -- that and they were known (at least in the past) as a good builder. Maybe they are better than some others. But I am sure there are others who are a lot better. I would definitely look elsewhere if I were to build in this area again.
