Worst Experience Ever with Powell Home Improvement - Stay Away! I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my terrible experience with Powell Home Improvement. I contacted Mason, the owner, after discovering a leak in my upstairs bathroom that had also damaged my kitchen ceiling. Mason seemed nice, assured me he could handle everything quickly, and promised a more affordable price than other contractors. We went over every detail, and I stressed that communication was crucial for me. That was the last time I heard from him in person. I paid the deposit, and Mason sent an air scrubber to dry out the water damage. It didn't work. He then sent a random group of people (who don't even work for him) to demo my bathroom. They left trash and debris all over my front yard. When I reached out to Mason, he kept saying he would come by and take care of things. Week 1 went by... nothing. Week 2... still nothing. The air scrubber is still in my house, blowing cold air with no progress, and the trash is still outside. I was told by Mason that he would send an A/C guy to check for further damage and that the job might cost more than expected. I then contacted my insurance, who requested an itemized quote for the repairs. Mason, who claimed he had experience with insurance claims, had no idea how to put one together. Week 3... still trash, no repairs, and no quote. By week 4, I had enough and told Mason I no longer wanted his services. I asked for some sort of refund or resolution, and here I am... still no word from him. This has been a complete waste of time and money. It's frustrating to deal with someone who makes promises but never follows through. I'd advise anyone considering Powell Home Improvement to stay far, far away from this company. You will end up stuck with unfinished work, no communication, and no resolution. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

I highly recommend Powell's Home Improvement! I recently had a deck added to my house and I was more than impressed with their work! The quality of work provided by Powell's was outstanding every employee was very knowledgeable and the customer service was five star top notch status from the very first phone call to schedule the estimate all the way thru the completion of my deck! Powell's is highly recommended in my opinion there's no other company that will take the time to make sure the customer is pleased like they do. Mason and his team took great care and getting my house from mold and mildew to vapor barrier, clean and pristine with a dehumidifier at a fraction of the cost of what every other quote was not only did they do great work, but they did it fast and in a timely matter and left the house looking better than it was before they even did my yardwork, but that's just the kind of man they are.
