Fuel was $3.11 per gallon here, and just four miles down the road it jumps to $3.49 per gallon. That alone makes this place worth pulling into. At this interchange, Buc-ee's paid for roundabouts on both sides, which is highly efficient. It's a brilliant idea and enables smooth traffic flow everywhere. This Buc-ee's has been here for about three years according to Brisket Bill, and it already feels like a staple stop. I stood there watching them chop fresh brisket and almost went with the Big Buckin' Brisket Sandwich XXL... but it was just two buckin' much for me. This is a nine dollar sandwich and worth every penny! It is outstanding! I did hear employees mumbling something about brisket on something. Maybe they were just bored and wanted to chop brisket. Maybe that's what they were saying. Since they already have a brisket Bill here in Springfield, Missouri, maybe I can be Brisket Bill in Huber Heights, Ohio! what's a 90 minute commute anyways? Whatever name is correct, the shop is a small convenience store for residents and visitors of Indian Point. It has the typical convenience shop grocery, personal care, and liquor items, plus fishing and other recreational supplies. Typical of convenience stores, prices are inflated. However, it's close and saves a trip for just a few items to Dollar General or Walmart, which are in nearby West Branson.

Lady came outside harassing us telling us we have to move and can't park there. Mind you it was 10:30 pm. Most mechanics are closed till the morning we said we would call someone in the morning. Only for her to call the cops and tell them we are parked there and not moving. When she saw me doing my best to fix the issue myself. Only when we stop our attempts at around 1 am and finally settle for bed the cop comes banging on our door at 4 am to tell us to move. When we told him we couldn't he would repeat himself for 5 minutes saying the same thing over again. Idk if this town is stuck on stupid or what. Never coming back this way again. Since new owners are now operating this business, it is completely opposite of where it was regarding customer service. Employees are not responsive to questions nor concerns, the facility quality has dropped significantly, window cleaning solution is rarely available at each pump, trash cans are rarely emptied and on two occasions, staff was observed emptying trash cans by gas pumps while smoking a lit cigarette. The later is most concerning. All in all, the owners need to step up regarding training of staff and expectations for quality service.

Everything was reasonably priced and the store was spotless, even the bathrooms. The staff working were very friendly and kind. As I looked around the store, I noticed they had a large variety of snacks and great convenience products for sale, except their craft beer selection, which was average. I have been working for the company a year now, and my store has always had their restrooms available, which brings us a lot of service. During a 10pm-6am you never know what brings someone to the need to relieve themselves and i think if you buy something you should be allowed to relieve yourself in a decent/common safe place that is open.

It's not hard to imagine this is largely a function of location: this close to both downtown and MSU, they are undoubtedly subject to a plethora of late-night visits from drunk college kids. It's not hard to imagine how that might wear at one's customer service skills. Still, I am definitely NOT a drunk college kid, and there have been several occasions where I've been regarded with borderline contempt by the people working the counter. So, while this location does offer what travelers need to keep moving, the overall experience definitely falls short of five stars.
