Don't let them ruin your friends birthday party I don't know how they get all the 5 stars but my experience is quite different from what other reviews have shared. I was promised cocktails, filet mignon and lobster but the minute they arrived they asked me to show them how to make cocktails. Later after cooking for 3 hours, they present me with overcooked cheap cut steak that's definitely not filet mignon. Lobster is no where to be found and when asked about it they said the lobster wasn't looking good when they could have let me know when they went shopping earlier that day. read more

We had chef Jonathan prepare a dinner for us and it was beyond amazing. So much so we had him back a couple of nights later to prepare dinner using the mahi mahi our guys caught that day. Margaritas, Appetizers, entree and dessert. We had more food than the four of us could eat. He did all The shopping and all the clean up. For me it was the best event of the entire trip. read more

WOW. Just, WOW. Humberto and his team are ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. From the moment we reached out, his service was nothing but top notch. We were visiting PV with two friends of ours and had wanted to make this a special trip since it was our first one since the pandemic. Humberto will forever be the highlight of the trip! So much so that we actually brought him and his team back for a second night later that week - we couldn't resist! He is professional, fun, and very accommodating! Everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the presentation to the explanation (we asked so many questions!) was nothing but amazing. In fact, we went fishing one day and he took the fish we caught and whipped it up into one of the best meals we've ever had! If you get the chance, ask for his guajillo sauce! It's to die for! We will DEFINITELY be hiring Humberto again next time we are in PV! read more

Amazing dinner last night. Humberto and Pedro created a Mexican menu that delighted all of us - 5 adults and 3 kids (ages 9-12). The aquachile was the BEST we've ever had Everything was fresh, made from scratch, and full of flavor. In addition to cooking and serving for us, we enjoyed their company and learned a little more about Mexican food and culture. They are fully booked for the rest of our stay or we'd ask them to do it for us another night. Will definitely reach out to Humberto next time we come to Neuvo Nayarit. read more

Paco and Luis were terrific! This was our 2nd time using PV Fresh Chefs. They came to our place 3x this past week- the service was terrific and they were so fun and accommodating. We enjoyed fresh guac and chips, ceviche, empanadas, tacos al paster, tres leches, coconut shrimp, churros, sopapillas and horchata. I'd definitely recommend them! read more

I had found them on Google under personal chef Puerto Vallarta. Contacted Danielle via email for months about the service, fees, limits of the chef or the members of our family diet. I felt comfortable and got the approval from my family. Let me begin by telling you Personal Fresh Chef are excellent team. Very professional and understand each individual needs. Danielle had booked Chef Leo and herself for 5 days 2 meals a day either breakfast/dinner or lunch/dinner. Very flexible with our needs. They had bought the perfect amount of food to stock our fridge. First day made fresh cut up fruits, french toast, bacon, and eggs anyway we wanted. Then he whipped up fresh Guacamole and Salsa for sneaks with chips. Amazing! Dinner: Chef Leo made this marinated chicken dish with sweet potato pureed and veggies. Wonderful. Of course great margaritas were served. Second day. Lunch: Chef Leo made taco's that were to die for. Chicken, choizo, steak with mild to hot spicy salsa. Dinner: He used the left over meat to make chicken Enchiladas and Cheese for the kids. Spanish rice and beans. yummy! Oh and picked up Churro's for dessert. So yummy! Kids: cheese enchiladas and veggies. Third day. Lunch: Chef Leo created pitta bread with chicken special sauce. Dinner: Chef Leo stepped it up by making Cesar salad, Mahi Mahi, wild rice and veggies. Amazing! Drinks accompany by strawberry margaritas and wine. Kids: had fish fingers with fries. Fourth day Breakfast: fresh fruits, pancakes, bacon and Canadian ham and of course, Build your own omelette. OJ and coffee. Dinner: Delicious red snapper, with wild rice, green beans and onion. Paired with Mango margaritas and white wine. Kids: gourmet Mac and Cheese with steamed broccoli. Paired with fresh jamaica drinks. Fifty and Final Day: Lunch was a fresh toss Santa fee chicken salad and sandwich for the kids. Dinner our final and last meal. Was the cream de la cream of the best sea food pasta dish ever. Chef Leo and Chef Ernesto made thin spaghetti with two kinds of mussels, scallops, red snapper, Shrimp and Octopus on a delicious pink sauce that was to die for. Bravo. All in all our experience with PV Fresh Chef has been amazing and magical. They worked with so many personality in our family and diet restrictions. I highly recommend hiring PV Fresh Chef while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta. The last night we parted with them. It was quite emotional. We felt like they were part of our family. These guys are amazing. We stayed at Vidanta - which, in theory, has a lot of top restaurants on-property. The reality is that the Vidanta restaurants were "just okay", but fortunately for us, I had picked a couple of nights to have these guys over for low-key evenings in our room. Having Chef Paco ended up being our favorite part of the trip, and I brought them in a third time rather than going to another Vidanta restaurant! I just wish we had done the entire week! First, to their actual cooking - it's phenomenal. Light-years better than the much more expensive restaurants at Vidanta. The ingredients are fresh and their skill is incredible. Our unit ended up not having an oven, and just had a microwave, glass cooktop, and a blender, and these guys managed to do mind-blowing multi-course dinners with that. What you don't realize when you hire a personal chef is that a good personal chef is way more than just making you food - Chef Paco is an entertainer and a top-notch hospitality specialist. He ensured my group was engaged and having fun and when it was time, got us seated and enjoying dinner in our outdoor terrace. It has been a month, and we are still talking about how great our experience was with them. We will be back the same week every year and look forward to having Chef Paco back in! read more

I am so thankful I came across Fresh Personal Chefs when I was planning our trip down to Puerto Vallarta. We exchanged emails for weeks, deciding on menu items and things we wanted to try. In the end we decided on two dinner evenings, one being a fresh catch of the day and the other being a traditional Mexican spread. All I can say is I'm do thankful we decided to try this - it was AMAZING! Thank you to the entire team for making this experience so easy... We hired Chef Leo for a Dia de Muertos dinner party for 12 people. Leo came along with Luis and bartender Paco, and the three of them did a great job. We had requested a couple of appetizers, followed by chicken tamales and a pork carnitas taco bar, and ending with a dessert of their choosing. Chef Leo made incredible mushroom caps stuffed with chorizo and cheese, and coconut shrimp with a delicious sweet sauce for the appetizers, and a tres leches cake decorated with a Dia de Muertos skull. The tamales were amazing and we had tons leftover, which we have continued to enjoy. The carnitas bar was good.. it would have been nice for the pork to be a little crispier. For fixings, they had the basics like cilantro, onion, red cabbage, guacamole, combined with three different salsas, including a super spicy pickled habanero and onion salsa. They arrived on time and got set up very quickly and efficiently. Paco, the bartender did a great job keeping everyone happy with drinks, and also "introduced" each dish as it was served. They kept washing pots and pans and dishes and kept the kitchen clean throughout the evening, so when they were ready to leave, it was quick and easy. All three of these guys were friendly and great to work with. I'd definitely recommend them. read more

We just returned from a week long vacation with 4 other couples to Puerto Vallarta and hired Fresh Chefs to come into our resort and prepare dinner on three of the evenings. After the experience we all agreed that if we return, we will hire them for every dinner - the food, service and total experience surpassed every other dining experience we had during our stay. I worked with Vero before our trip to plan our first meal and then each time our chefs visited we would talk with them about what we would like for the next meal. They were all exceptional. Our chefs, Ramiro and Humberto, shopped, cooked, entertained us and cleaned up afterward. They were gifted, personable and creative every time they showed up. Vero was very responsive to my emails which was important to me as I was doing all of the pre-planning from the States. I can't say enough good things about the entire experience! read more

Paco and Luis are wonderful! They were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make our weekend so special. Not only was the food delicious, but they were so fun to be around. We had them deliver groceries, they made a delicious meal a couple nights later, and came over on our last day to make us brunch with our remaining groceries.
