I've been following Annie Bone on IG for a year now, that woman is an artist. With a background from DAAP and graphic design, she knows her way around most mediums. When her books opened up, I was so excited to try to get on her schedule. When you're considering White Whale, please pay close attention to each artist's "rules" when it comes to proposals. The website has some great advise for this as well. Most of them only open their books every so often and vet each piece before committing. Annie's light hand was much appreciated because I'm a total WUSS when it comes to tattoos. I have several but I really don't enjoy getting them. Annie was so kind, understanding and encouraging the whole time. She held conversation really well and seemed to care about me and my piece! This is the first time I've had a tegederm bandage and I really like it!! It's so much easier that being taped and bandaged up. If you have sensitive skin, be sure to mention this. I bruised up a little bit but Annie quickly corresponded with me and made sure the bruise was a "normal" one and that my tattoo/arm was healthy! Go to White Whale. Get a killer tattoo. No regrets.

The shop itself is charmingly eccentric, and by far the most welcoming tattoo studio I've ever been to. Everyone there was personable and friendly, and Emily is the BEST. Not only does she create the most gorgeous artwork, but she's just a warm and radiant human. It was a joy to work with her and we were both so thrilled with what she created. I was planning on getting a very small four-leaf clover tattoo. Since it would be so small, I decided to just do a walk-in. I showed him a reference photo, which was a dainty, simple line art tattoo, and I'll include a picture of it below. Instead of going off of the reference photo, he proceeded to google four-leaf clover designs and scroll until he found one I agreed to. I am obviously at fault here for not standing my ground, but I found it kind of weird and I felt too uncomfortable to say no. As he was tattooing me, I felt him pressing SUPER hard. My first tattoo was on my chest, yet it was less painful than this one was, because of how hard he was pressing the needle into my skin. I still have some raised lines on my tattoo which I'm worried is permanent scarring. I wanted fairly thin lines (like in the reference photo I showed him) but he gave me pretty thick lines, without asking me or communicating with me about it at all. Almost immediately after I got the tattoo, I noticed the ink was starting to blow out. Again, this was my second tattoo, so I already knew how to care for it properly and I followed the aftercare instructions to a T. The lines on my tattoo have blown out and become even thicker, while some spots are missing a lot of ink. It's overall very splotchy and uneven. i'll attach a photo of it below. Between the lack of communication and the seeming disregard of what I requested, I have been very hurt by this experience. I paid $118 (not including tip), and I honestly feel like I was completely ripped off. I would have been fine with paying that if the tattoo had turned out decent. Now I have to pay even more to find another artist who can try to fix it. I realize I have fault in this too for not sticking up for myself or even just leaving, but I still feel like this experience is worthy of a negative review. I don't know about the other artists working at this Beelistic location, but I would advise not to go to Ken for your tattoos.

Had to go to another shop to get it looked at they told me the quality was horrible and they've had to fix and help multiple people coming from red dragon tattoo. They also told me the white build up under my piercing was from the jewelry quality that they had pierced me with. maybe before getting a piercing here you should ask them the specs and actually quality of their jewelry and if you can see the paperwork on it so you can see for yourself. Overall experience over the past weeks after i received my piercing from them has been horrible in my experience and wouldn't recommend them to anyone especially after i found out how bad their jewelry really was.
