My friends and I came here last minute to get tattoos on a whim and there was no wait. We told the guy what we wanted and he drew up right away what we wanted. The prices were reasonable. $80 for a small bible quote on my rib cage. The guys working there were funny and to the point. They did excellent work. Got my conch and helix pierced here and had a very quick and painless session. Later, when I had complications, James and Anna (I think that's her name) helped me out a ton. They didn't perform my original piercing, but made sure I left more comfortable and with better knowledge of why my piercing had to be removed. When I called to inquire about an appointment, I was directed to the Brody Guidry Piercing Facebook site. If you are looking for THE BEST experience for a child (and her mom), go see Brody. He made my daughter feel like she was the most important person in the world. He took time to show her jewelry, explain care tips, show her where it would be done and how it would feel, etc. The studio was super clean, bright and welcoming. Brody and his teammate Cass were remarkable. I would highly recommend this studio. Take the time to make the appointment. You will be glad you did!! I also got my nose pierced, something I've wanted to do for years. I love it. We'll be back in 4-6 weeks so Brody can check on the healing process. Downstairs you'll find the tattoo parlor, with leopard print carpet and wall-to-wall designs. A private area in the rear is where artists will work on your piece. Upstairs is the piercing shop with bright green walls, black brick, and hardwood; it has a neon-Gothic vibe. The shop entirely will make you feel like a rockstar. Beelistic has two giant counters full of jewelry: one being the standard metal, the other, plugs and tribal. Plenty of selection. The neighboring room is the private piercing room, which is spacious enough to fit a small group in... or just you and your piercer. Patrick comes with my highest recommendation. He has 8 years experience and you can talk to him like an old friend. The procedure is explained thoroughly, right down to the natural ink used to mark the dots. All of the instruments are wrapped in sterile plastic and laid out on a tray beside the table. This way the client knows everything is hygienic. Once pierced, Patrick doles out the aftercare tips, including a detailed paper of guidelines, the size of your new jewelry, healing time, and a bag of cleaning salts. Have questions once you get home? No problem, they have a "call if you need anything" policy. Whether it's your first of fifth piercing, Beelistic provides quality work and an ideal experience! Can't say enough good things about Beelistic's. My wife and I came in and had a rough idea of what we wanted. The team was able to create something that we loved. Went to get tattoos there with my siblings and I've never been unhappy enough to make a review for a place, but this took the cake. They botched all our tattoos, were extremely rude, charged us a shop minimum of $80 plus a $16 tax and fee so a grand total of $96 per tattoo the size of a quarter. This was my 13th tattoo so I knew what to expect in the healing process but it wasn't even the healing process that made it look bad. The guy who did all our tattoos Scott, is completely unprofessional, rude, and had no idea how to tattoo. Now I have to find a place to go and get it fixed. I got my nose pierced here about a week ago for $150, which was already more than I had expected, but I went through with it anyways. About a week in and the gem on my nose ring fell off out of nowhere, one of my friends noticed it in class. The rod in my nose was still in, but the skin was going to grow over it if I didn't get it replaced. I called beelistics at 2 different locations, one said they'd replace it for free and the Clifton beelistics told me it would cost the same amount I had paid the first time to replace it, which made no sense to me. If the gem on my nose ring that I bought from your establishment falls off out of nowhere, why should I have to drive 45 minutes away and pay to fix your mistake? read more

On the website it says piercings start at $50 and then have an additional cost for jewelry chosen with jewelry starting at $20. When I arrived at the store I was told the starting price was $109 and then the added cost of whichever jewelry was chosen. I came in as a walk in for a basic nostril piercing and walked out paying $157.39 ($188.86 with tip) for the smallest white gold stud offered. Definitely more than I had expected to pay. But Allie was amazing and discussed the pricing with me before we even left the lobby to go to the piercing studio. She was incredibly professional and discussed my aesthetic desires to help me pick the perfect placement and piece for my nose and needs. I have been here before and it's a great vibe and the workers are very nice in my experience. The only complaint that I have is that I wanted to go get my doubles pierced. I then was told that the price to do that was $291, so I asked for the cheapest pair and that was about $190. That is in my opinion way to much, I'm guessing the diamonds were real or at least hope. I'm far from a tatted-up veteran of ink. And though my wife and I have both gotten work done from a number of artists around town, reviewing a shop is extremely difficult in my opinion. The sheer number of moving parts and the subjectivity of the art makes it hard to accurately say one place is better than the other. That being said, I give Beelistic high marks for its professionalism and appearance. I think a lot of shops get dissed because of how little research their customers put into their experience and into what they'd like done. This leads to artists doing the best they can, or telling the customer what can realistically be done - which then leads to a bad review. So I didn't enter the world of piercings, nor did I have a complicated tattoo done. Just a simple graphic on my arm. And as a walk-in, I wasn't expecting their full attention either. But the shop was empty when my group walked in. The man at the front desk was extremely kind, and quickly picked up on my knowledge level of tattoos. I liked that a lot. The really cool part was the technology they used. They led me to an iPad that took me through all of the paperwork. This was way less sketchy than some boiler-plate form on a clipboard, and let me give way more information to the artist, such as my proclivity to fainting and the last time I had eaten. I liked that a lot too. My artist got down to business. He was a guest-artist, and I had a chance to check out his work online. He was quick and efficient in setting me up - I assumed mostly because it was getting toward the end of the night. He introduced himself and his techniques, and was quick to get to work. Upon asking him if he like to chat while working, he replied "no, I like to work". The needle was in my arm a few seconds later. About 45 minutes more into the night, he was all finished. The art looked great, the man at the front desk was again, courteous and friendly as he walked me through the payment process on the iPad from before. He even down-sold the more expensive product at the shop in favor of the local Wal-Mart alternative. What a swell guy. Bandaged up and ready, I left feeling extremely happy with the work done, with my experience and with my eagerness to come back. A solid 5 of 5. (Side note, they take card) read more

Any time I've gone to beelistics, I've been impressed. Even if I walk in and don't have an appointment, they've never had me wait for long before drawing up what I have in mind and giving me the tattoo that day. A group of girls from the salon I work at in Clifton went to beelistics last Friday to get Friday the 13th tattoos. We didn't have appointments but they fit in 4 of us when we got off work and made it happen! Today, (Tuesday) 2 of the guys stopped into the salon to see how the tattoos were doing! I thought that was an awesome gesture and thoughtful- they went the extra mile! My artist was Kyle, but unfortunately I don't know the name of the guy who did 2 of my coworkers tattoos :-/ but honestly, anyone I've had who has done my tattoos/ piercings has been great. read more

My best friend and I were evening walk-ins. We asked for small, line work compass tattoos on our ribs. Originally we were quoted shop minimum ($50) but were charged $150 each + tip. Both of us have multiple tattoos and are well-versed in tattoo pricing. My friend had even gotten tattoos at Beelistic before. Previously she was charged less for more intricate tattoos than the ones we got on this particular night. I feel that we were overcharged because we are young women in our twenties. (Yes I own the fact that we should have spoken up about the unfair pricing) Anyway- I wanted to write this review to warn other customers that you may be up-charged if the artist thinks they can get away with it. If I could give a NEGATIVE amount of stars I would. I don't even know where to begin with this place. My friend and I went to Bee's on a Friday night at about 10:30pm (we were in town for a convention and had limited time). There were 2 tattooists working. Let me preface this by saying that Olivier who did my small tattoo was great and did nice work however we did also want a larger piece each and they did not even want to entertain the idea since it was an hour and a half before closing. That's fine- we decided to come back tomorrow for the larger pieces. Neither of these 2 were working the next day. The next morning we took the gauze off of our tats and my friend was immediately in tears. It was just a small black heart (in a very visible spot) and there was an ink blow out on both sides. Also, while mine done by Olivier was clean and crisp hers was A LOT lighter than mine and the one side was completely crooked (we didn't notice before bc it was raised and fresh). I calmed her down and reminded her we are going back today I am sure they will fix it no problem, and also everything I read about ink blow outs said it could possibly go away in 2 weeks. She was of course distraught for the entire day. Now we go back that day with our other friend to get a large piece each. We pull up and all 4 employees were outside smoking. I didn't realize they were the workers so I went to go in the door and they very rudely said "We are all out here what do you need". Great start to this visit. We nicely explain to them that we are looking to get new tattoos but first wanted to get the tattoo from the night before fixed. Immediately they were extremely unaccommodating and unbelievably rude. They were telling my friend that they can't fix it because they were not the ones that did the original work and also were emphatic that it needs to be completely healed before touching it or it would just do more damage than good (the original was done less than 18 hours before). We go in with the desk guy and he was seriously the biggest d-bag I have ever met in my life (for no reason). Since the guy that did hers was not in and no one would even entertain the idea of LOOKING at it or give us options I asked if we could call the guy in bc we were only in town for that day and couldn't come back tomorrow. He very rudely rejected that idea. Can someone else possibly just LOOK at it and give their opinion? NOPE not an option- it's not their work. Partial refund so we can get it fixed at home? "That's absolutely out of the question". Ok can we get our larger pieces and get a credit at least? "Nope- we are not taking money out of someone else's pocket who didn't do the work bc the tattooist you had isn't here to speak for himself". I asked why he was being SO nasty and he almost disregarded my question. Then one of the other guys says "He is being nasty because you are". I assure you we did NOT start off that way- it only progressed to that because he was unbelievably unaccommodating and rude from the second we walked in. At this point my friend was beyond mad and upset bc she thinks she is going to have to live with this on her body.... so I go outside to the other 2 guys and see if I can start over with a clean slate. The one guy was again rude for no reason but SLIGHTLY more receptive to our questions. He still didn't want to do the piece I wanted bc that wasn't his style apparently but I think he just didn't want to deal with us honestly. I have to say that Lee was very nice and answering our questions and we could tell that they were all trying to have each others backs but he was definitely more understanding and saw it from our side. My friend asked "Am I wrong- this is on my body for the rest of my life and in a very visible place" and only Lee was like yes of course I understand. The rest of them acted like it was no big deal. At this point we were definitely NOT getting another tattoo there but our friend still wanted one so she had the desk guy draw one up.Then we got a price- it was $200 which is VERY high for what she wanted! They clearly were highballing us just to get us out of the shop. I have never been treated that way for absolutely no reason in my life. We were so disrespected and made to feel like we were in the wrong for something that THIS SHOP screwed up. We decided to go down the street to Barber's Electric which also had great reviews. AND OH BOY- WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I HIGHLY recommend them.... they said they get people there at least 4 or 5 times a WEEK saying that Bee's was so rude! That's INSANE! They were super nice and even though they closed in an hour they still drew up our tats and stayed 2 1/2 hours past closing to do them. AND they fixed my friends tattoo with no questions asked! They did some of the nicest and cleanest work I have ever seen and were super sweet. AND our other friend only paid $100 for the same exact tat!! I had been to Beelistic's before for piercings and jewelry, but never for a tattoo. I had time to spare, so I decided to go in to get a tattoo that I had been thinking about. Olivier greeted me, and I discussed my idea of white ink. He was extremely informative and warned me that white ink often will not age well, and so he didn't feel comfortable doing the work as he could not guarantee it. I appreciated his honesty and took his advice. After some discussion, I decided to go for black and gray on the top of my foot. Olivier drew up the outline, got set up, and then we got started. He was extremely professional in handling my foot which would not stop twitching!!! The session was extremely painful; I have my ribs/back done and that was nothing compared to this pain! But I stuck it out and in the end left with a gorgeous tattoo with excellent placement. I completely recommend Olivier at Beelistic's after this experience. read more
