Guy straight up lied to me. Told me I had 1mm on my brakes left. Went to my brake guy and told me I had 1/2 inch left. This place is so full of ****. Also came in with a coupon for 5-20w and he told me it was only for 10-20w. Don't get rolled. AVOID this dump!!

OSHA normally only concerned about workers not the public

Went in and spoke with the woman at counter day before asked how much an oil change for my truck. I was told it would be about $40 for the oil change. This was just fine with me cause back home it's about $75 to $80. I showed up the next day about 9am. The same woman greeted me and checked my truck in. They were able to take my truck right away, after about 20 minutes or so a mechanic comes in and says he is just about done and he recommended a flush of my power steering unit for $49, I decided and he said ok he just wanted to inform me service should be done. I'll make sure I check it when I get home. Thanks for advice. As I signed the papers the woman said my tire sensor was acting up. Yes she was correct, it started when we got in this 112* Vegas heat. I hope it goes back to normal when I get back home, if not I'll get it fixed

Not sure why I even attempt this place. This is the 3rd time I left without being serviced due to rudeness.

It seems like its dealer price now , and they charge you for the diagnostic fee even if you do the work with them...not cool. Probably still an honest shop, but pricey. update: Thanks for responding. I understand your explanation that diagnostic work involves skilled technician time and has value. My disappointment is really about the change in how MVR handled this compared with my experience as a customer for more than a decade. In the past, I did not encounter a policy of charging a separate diagnostic fee when I had the repair performed there. What bothered me most was less the dollar amount than the decision to rigidly enforce the charge with a longtime customer. Even if MVR believed the fee was technically appropriate, I think simply saying, "You've been with us for many years, there was clearly a misunderstanding, so we'll waive/refund it this time," would have created tremendous goodwill. Instead, the experience left me feeling that MVR has become considerably more expensive and transactional than the shop I had relied on for many years. Unfortunately, preserving the diagnostic fee ended up costing MVR both this repair and a longtime customer. That is why I left the review I did.

I'm so happy that we found MVR. It was actually a recommendation from a body shop. My Honda was out…read moreof warranty so I decided I should no longer go to the dealer for service. Ardi was very thorough about explaining everything that was needed done or things I can do later. I took my car in for oil change and just a few other things. I waited in their waiting room and it was comfortable. It took two hours as Ardi predicted. Services here are definitely less costly than taking it to the dealer. Very glad we found an honest mechanic.

Now the truck is in worse shape than when I dropped it off. I'm furious because they had done great work in the past--that's why I decided to take it there and trusted them blindly; I left it with them based on my previous good experiences. They charged me $1,976. It was a huge amount, but I didn't mind paying it because I was almost 100% sure the truck would be in perfect condition. Now the truck won't even start; the service is absolute garbage. I called in frustration to ask what was going on--explaining that my truck wouldn't start and I was stranded on the highway shoulder--and the moron in the office played the victim, saying, "If you're angry, I can be angry too." I will never recommend them again, because both the service and the work are total shit. Me cobraron 1.976 dólares. I'll be making a video for my Facebook and TikTok channels--which have millions of views--and confronting them in the coming days. You can find my TikTok page under the name Martyn Ramirez if you want to watch the video where I confront them.

Honesty Is Hard to Find--Which Makes It Worth Recognizing…read more I retired to Henderson, Nevada, in 2010. I love the weather, the active lifestyle in my 55+ community, and the fact that Las Vegas is only about 30 minutes away, offering countless restaurants, entertainment, and services. Unfortunately, living here has also taught me another lesson: the old saying "Buyer Beware" is more relevant than ever. Over the years, I have found that many businesses--whether in medical care, auto repair, legal services, home repair, or other industries--either overcharge for their services or fail to deliver what they promise. As consumers, we often have little choice but to trust the professionals we hire, making honesty and integrity more important than ever. To me, a truly exceptional business is one that takes the time to explain what is needed, treats customers with respect, performs quality work, and charges a fair price. In other words, it follows the Golden Rule: Treat others as you would want to be treated. Imagine how much better our communities would be if every business operated that way. While companies like this seem increasingly rare, I was fortunate enough to find one recently. I took my 2022 vehicle--with only 22,000 miles--to an auto repair shop that had serviced it several times before. I requested nothing more than a routine oil change. About an hour after leaving the car, I received a phone call informing me that they had discovered major front-end damage. I was told the vehicle was unsafe to drive and that the repairs would cost between $1,800 and $1,900. The diagnosis didn't make sense. My car had never shown any symptoms of front-end problems, so I decided to seek a second opinion. I brought the vehicle to Sonny's Auto Repair at 1000 Stephanie Place, Henderson, NV 89014. From the moment I called, I noticed a difference. The receptionist greeted me warmly, listened carefully to my concerns, and assured me they would be happy to inspect the vehicle. After spending 30 years in customer service, I know how much first impressions matter, and this one was outstanding. I dropped off the car and was told there would be an $85 inspection fee. Later that day, I returned expecting to hear the worst. Instead, I received some of the best news I could have hoped for. The technician--and even the owner, Chris--carefully inspected the vehicle and found none of the damage described by the first repair shop. In fact, the only problem they discovered was that the oil filter installed during the previous oil change had been improperly fitted and was leaking oil. They corrected the problem immediately. Then came the biggest surprise of all. When I asked what I owed, I was told there would be no charge. Chris explained that the repair required very little time and that he could tell how distressed I had been over the prospect of an unnecessary and expensive repair. Think about that for a moment. How often do you encounter a business that could have charged you for an inspection, recommended unnecessary repairs, or simply taken advantage of the situation--but instead chose honesty, integrity, and compassion? Those qualities deserve to be recognized. Because of this experience, Sonny's Auto Repair has earned my trust and my future business. More importantly, they restored a little of my faith that ethical businesses still exist. In today's world, honesty and integrity are qualities worth celebrating. If more businesses--and perhaps even more institutions--followed the example set by Sonny's Auto Repair, our communities would be stronger, trust would be easier to earn, and life would be better for everyone.

Not only did they diagnose and fix the transmission problem, but they also discovered other issues I had no idea about. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything to me so I understood exactly what was going on with my truck. What really stood out was their communication. They kept me updated the entire time--whether it was parts being ordered, delays in delivery, or progress on the repairs. I was never left wondering what was happening, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. They even provided pictures showing the damaged parts side by side with the new ones, which really showed their transparency and attention to detail. On top of that, they made sure to test drive the truck to confirm everything was running smoothly before handing it back to me. They also stepped in and corrected a mistake made by my warranty parts vendor, which could have easily turned into a much bigger headache. That level of honesty and dedication is hard to find. Overall, Sonny's Auto Repair is professional, thorough, and truly cares about their customers. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality work, and clear communication.
