On that night it was a one-man operation so the service was a bit slow, but not too bad. I had a pork pepito basket with a papelon con limon. My fries were something of a disappointment--limp and not very many, but my friend who ordered a side of fries at the same time said hers were better. The sandwich was pretty good--tender pork with a generous amount of a tasty dill sauce, along with cheese and some other condiments. It's a good thing the sauce was good, because between the dill flavor and the amount it pretty much overwhelmed the rest of the flavors. The roll was good, a nice crusty one that allowed you to pick up the sandwich easily. I liked it fine. My friend had the burger, which was a decent basic burger except for the cheese not melting properly. The papelon con limon was OK--probably made with turbinado sugar. I've had it with brown sugar and liked that better. The truck has a very broad menu, covering Venezuelan, Tex-Mex, and even Asian dishes. I would say it is worth a try if you are branching out.

Occasionally, I'll have flour tortillas if I can't have corn. I thought I had already eaten the finest tacos ever made up in the Woodlands, but that place went out of business. Heartbreak. Then I read about the Taco House, outlandish claims of excellence. I have to try this upstart tacoria! Oh my god, every thing I had read was true. The finest tacos ever made are here, the tortillas are thick, flavorful. The ingredients that go into your taco are infused with a magical flavor that is unbelievable, there is a lot to choose from. My wife and I ordered 4 and ate them there. We then got 4 to go , with the orange sauce, the mildest one. Do yourself a favor and use it liberally, you won't regret it. The restaurant is located on FM 2920, in the space my favorite hamburger restaurant, 'Jack's', was.

They have parking next to the food truck & a covered porch/ patio for you to sit w/ some fans and a tv. It can get a little hot in the summer, but is still nice. I got the three pupusa and one taco combo. It was a LOT of food tbh. The taco was just ok (it was a little dry and bland) but the pupusas were awesome. Super delicious & the pork filling was great!! It was flavorful & moist. I also love the salsas - they added some nice heat to cut some of the fat/carbs from the pupusa. I also tried the Jamaica & it was pretty good. A little sweeter than I usually like but good! It did take about 15 min to get our food, which was more than I thought, but wasn't the worst. They definitely get busy around lunch, so be prepared for a wait. Will definitely be back & would recommend this place

I stopped in to try their new iteration--got a sampler with a pupusa (fajita), a taco (al pastor), a gordita (chicharron) and a Mexican hot dog. Washed it down with a jamaica agua fresca and finished with some churros and ice cream. The pupusa was very good, a nice combination of fajitas and beans. Combined with the pupusa makings and fried on the grill it made a nice savory treat. The al pastor taco was OK--the meat was a bit chewy but with the salsa it had good flavor. Not sure about the gordita--it's two firm shells around your filling. The chicharrons were rich and indulgent as they should be, but they were not easy to eat on the shell. Probably my favorite item was the Mexican hot dog. A hot dog with all the traditional Mexican trimmings--crema, ketchup, jalapenos, and a little parmesan. The bun was toasted on the grill. Perhaps just a bit stale but it didn't fall apart. All these items are available on their own for a smaller meal, and I think the hot dog is a great deal. The churros were freshly prepared and looked gorgeous--a nice golden brown, crusted with cinnamon and drizzled with caramel sauce. The outside was great, nice and crisp. Unfortunately the inside was squishy--they had been filled before frying, and that always leaves the interiors too moist, lots of what tasted like undercooked dough. It's better if they sacrifice a bit of freshness and fill the churros after cooking. The jamaica was great, though. What stands out for me is the upgraded menu. Well organized and lots of new choices, much more professional than the first go-round. All in all it was good but a few too many execution errors to really rate it highly. Definitely worth trying though.

The tacos were on the small side. They have 3 levels of hot. Don't be shy about the hottest (habenero) because it's not terribly hot and imho had a better flavor than the middle heat sauce which is green. Tacos were pretty good as was the horchata. You can choose your meat and toppings although things like guacamole are extra. They had prepackaged chocolate filled empanadas for a buck at checkout counter. They weren't very good. Lots of dough. Not much filling. I think if they could lower the price some I might be back. I do see on the bag they own Don Chuy Tortilleria which we liked on a separate visit there before.

We got a chicken quesadilla grande, a fajita taco on corn, a barbacoa taco on flour, an elote, and a jamaica agua fresca to finish it off. The tacos were excellent, each good in their own way. The fajita meat was diced small and cooked until caramelized, which makes for a great bite. I like fajita tacos that way. The barbacoa taco was great also, nice and tender and full of flavor. The green salsa tasted homemade and had a nice slow burn. The chicken quesadilla was different from what you would find at other restaurants. They use white Mexican cheese instead of mozzarella like a lot of places. For me it had good flavor but ate somewhat dry. The elote was a real standout for me. Plenty of parmesan, butter and white cheese. They gave me the chili topping on the side, which is great for me because I can't handle a lot of heat. I was able to mix in just what I wanted and it tasted great. I finished a big cup. The jamaica agua fresca was a good representation, and a generous 32 oz serving so you really have to share it or save some for later. The front of the venue is nice, with pretty decorations and all, but there's a surprise around back--a beautiful dining area under a spreading oak tree. When I was there it was decorated for Halloween/Day of the Dead. They rent it out for parties. This place was worth the wait and I can recommend it.
