I can not recommend this place enough! I was in town for a quick work trip and though they don't normally take "walk ins", Rochelle was incredibly hospitable and friendly. I had been fighting a little head cold and it was a dreary, cold, rainy Richmond day and I knew a good sauna was just what I needed! Red light sauna was a completely different from what I was used to at home with dry sauna. I found it incredibly healing! I woke up the next morning feeling COMPLETELY HEALED! I sweated out whatever I needed to and I am sure the red light was beyond healing! Can't recommend this place enough! Do yourself a favor and heal from the inside out with a good sweat! read more

Had an awesome morning at Purify! I'm hooked to contrast therapy, and this place did not disappoint. It was super clean, modern, and the staff was accommodating and helpful in answering all of my questions. They provide you with everything you need - towels, makeup wipes, towelettes, and even hair ties. My room came with an infrared sauna and cold plunge tub. The sauna had adjustable temperature and light settings. The sauna could go up to 150F and the tub was set at 45F. In my 60 minute appointment, I was able to do three sauna and three cold plunge sessions, so it was the perfect amount of time. I really love that I get the room to myself, so I could move freely between the sauna and tub. There is both a timer and digital clock, so you can time your sessions yourself. This place is perfect for all your detoxifying and restorative needs. I can't wait to come back! read more

This is for the Short Pump location, where I go. They have a second location on Patterson as well. There's a lot to say (all of it good): Facilities: The place is spotless. They have a massive dedication to keeping everything clean. The private sauna rooms are well stocked with fresh towels, make-up wipes, regular wipes, a waffle cotton wrap you can wear if you'd like, clothes hooks, and cool lighting (which you can control). The saunas have infrared lamps and a color LED array. You can adjust the intensity of the infrared and the color(s) of the LEDs, or turn them off. They have a room for cold plunge/contrast therapy in addition to the saunas. Huge free parking lot adjacent. Staff: Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I've never encountered a dour face or a person who couldn't answer a question. The people on staff add to the warm relaxing vibe. Cost/Memberships: You can buy individual sessions, multi-session packs, or memberships at several levels up to unlimited visits (one per day max of course). The memberships can bring the cost per visit down to surprisingly affordable rates. And here is perhaps the greatest thing about this place: The membership terms and policies are very customer friendly. It's the antithesis of what you think of when you think of a terrible gym membership. It's easy and convenient to schedule sessions online yourself if you want. Bottom Line: If you're even the slightest bit interested in adding sauna visits to your life, call or go see them. They will happily explain it all and answer your questions (like they did with me before I decided to join). 10/10 no notes. read more

A nice little relaxation getaway in the up-and-coming Greengate center of Short Pump! Finding myself already over in the area & aware of the new client promotion, I checked their openings for the afternoon on the Mindbody app & found a spot that fit my schedule. The very friendly staff greeted me, showed me to the room I'd reserved (a single -- of which I believe there are three, along with two larger saunas for multiple people) and explained how everything worked. You sauna for no longer than 40 minutes. They provide some towels, a wrap, and a cold wash cloth. Bring your own water bottle, though! as they have a cooler, but only with tiny Dixie cups OR the option of purchasing a bottle. I've always loved to sauna & this place was very clean, private, & made the experience feel like a worthwhile luxury! I certainly left feeling more relaxed and could see a notable improvement both physically--my muscles & joints especially--and in my state of mind. read more

A MUST TRY!!! My friend had mentioned that she had done this and I was hesitant to try it because i honestly thought it was like a sauna. Clearly showed me that it was not! I got the BOGO deal and tried it for the first time this past week on Thursday (12/6/18). The online appointment request was easy and the website was really easy to use, especially for booking the room and if you are going to be with someone, be sure that it's in a "two person" room. I also didn't even know that they were located right next to CycleBar (which I will be reviewing shortly). Great location, easy and plenty of parking and I will def be coming back here again. I'd like to give this shot a place by myself before the year ends! (Maybe after all the Christmas parties this year.) read more

I had the opportunity to try out purify this evening with my girlfriend. I must say this was my first time at a infrared sauna type place but I believe I am hooked! Purify is extremely nice inside and the staff member that helped us was very great and helpful. All of the equipment is top-notch and is new since the place is not been open that long. The sauna rooms are very nice in private and you definitely will sweat. We did a 40-minute session and after about 10 minutes it felt like I was in there 4 hours LOL there is adjustable LED lighting in the rooms along with an interactive touch panel and free Wi-Fi is there as well. The room had a very relaxing vibe to it in definitely was a great distresser for me. Will be visiting this location again very soon in recommended for anyone looking for a great sauna experience read more

I've been meaning to try this place for awhile now and was finally able to find the time! They offer a BOGO deal for their first time clients - buy one get one free for $35. Which is a great deal considering you sign up for an hour appointment and get 40 minutes in the sauna. The location is perfect since I frequent the Greengate shopping center and there is plenty of things to do in the area if you are looking to kill time before or after your appointment. The space is super nice with a very relaxing calming vibe, the place is light and very airy with the big window in the front of the store but once you go around back it's a little darker helping you really become relaxed. They have a handful of rooms which is great and some allow more than one person so you can sign up with a friend of significant other. I was able to sign up myself and a friend for a birthday treat and the woman at the front desk was knowledgeable and helped us walk through the set up. I had called the day before just to make sure I knew what to expect walking in, which I think was helpful and would recommend for anyone trying this for the first time. The actual sauna space is spacious, clean, enough room for you to move around, and allows you to block out the outside world so you can really relax. The only hesitation I had was that I did go with a friend and we were put in the front room, when we walked in the receptionist at the front mentioned we were the last appointment of the day and that we were allowed to talk but to stay quieter if other guests came in and twice during our appointment we were told that we need to be quieter. It seems if you were going to put two people in a space that it wouldn't be at the front since we weren't yelling by any means we were using our "library voices" as we called it. The other small issue was they never told us what to do when we were done. When our timer went off we exited the heated space and wanted to cool down for a few minutes and I guess we lost track of time but it would be nice if there was another timer or someone let you know when you had 5 minutes left in your appointment because we then basically were told we had to get out and we felt rushed leaving the appointment. Since we did the BOGO deal we have another appointment coming up and I am really looking forward to going again since overall it was a great experience! read more

This is a wonderful place to detox, sweat it out and relax by yourself. Besides relaxation, I can see this being very beneficial for many: athletes recovering from workouts, stress relief, people with health issues or chronic pain, I would also recommend this place. Ultra clean, and ultra friendly staff at both locations (Patterson and Short Pump - I've been to both). Their website is clean, informative and most importantly useful - all you have to do is click the "Book an Appointment" link at the top of the page to set the time that you want to go. At both locations I was greeted by friendly staff and shown to my personal infrared sauna room - full of clean towels, and other items to make my experience very enjoyable. When it comes to gyms or saunas, I'm big on cleanliness, and this place was extremely clean from top-to-bottom - I love that. The rooms have white noise machines in them, so you feel like you have the place completely to yourself once you're inside. Both times I sat in the Sauna for 40 minutes while listening to an audio book through my cell phone headphones, closed my eyes and was in total relaxation. I felt great after such a good sweat and relaxing experience. I'm intentional about recommending places that provide a great experience, and I plan to recommend this place to many. read more
