We stumbled upon this place on a hot, desolate Madrid afternoon. We really wanted Asian food, so when this just popped up in front of us it was like a godsend. However, once inside we found a not so friendly character.
Upfront, the food is good, 4 stars. You can either make your own bowl or choose one from the menu. Either way you go, you will not be disappointed. Also, the meals on the menu were not that expensive. The food is good and the atmosphere is bland but clean.
The not so friendly character was the lady behind the counter taking our order. She single-handedly gives this restaurant 2 stars; I'll be nice and split the difference by giving an overall 3 stars. She made a few critical mistakes that led to the star downgrade. This lady yelled at my song for securing us a table on the inside and demanded that we only sit outside (it wasn't like he was jumping on the tables, he just sat there). This was odd and off-putting due that there was literally no one else there except for the couple that was leaving. Then, she rushed us through the ordering process not answering our questions or really even entertaining them. She did all this in a harsh tone and all in very fast Spanish. Needless to say, this made our experience unnecessarily stressful and put us in a mindset of just order something and get out. We really were not able to enjoy our food and the experience. I get it, people have bad days. However, people also have the ability to differentiate between what is causing the bad day and not take it out on an innocent party.
Overall, I would totally go back again for the food. However, I'd make sure she's not working the front before I set one foot in the place. read more
