Authentic Chinese restaurant in Madrid. The location is so close to Gran Via. My table had mixed thoughts of this place. Some dishes were good, others weren't quite as good. I guess it's hit or miss. Sangria was good. We got the pitcher for the table. Cold dishes- Cucumber | pepino €7.50 - The flavor was ok, but the cucumbers were too soggy for my preference. This was the worst dish of the night for us :( I really was hoping for something refreshing to kick the spiciness of everything else. Banban chicken | pollo €8,90 - This dish was ok to me. The flavor was mid, very oily. The knife technique here was impressive. Duck | pato yuxiang €13,90 - This dish was very good, very fragrant. The duck was crisped and cut so well. Fish | olla pez €29,50 - The fish was good. It came with lotus root, bean sprouts, a few cauliflower, and a shit ton of potato slices. The cucumber slices in there were so soggy, which I did not like. Wontons in chili oil | wantan picante €9,90 - The wontons were not good!! The chili oil sauce was ok, but the wontons were such a disappointment. The skin was too slimy, and there was no flavor inside the wonton. Beef noodle soup | sopa ternera €12,90 - We asked for very spicy and we got it. As soon as I inhaled, I choked. The noodles were very soft. The beef was meh. They added some pickled veggies Rice was €2,20 per person. Credit card accepted. read more

We are so sorry to leave a negative review and hope that our experience was an anomaly given the great reputation. It was Saturday night and the second day of Chinese New Year, so it was unusually crowded and busy. The servers and cooks were doing their best to keep everyone fed. One star is added for their heroic efforts for negotiating a very narrow space while answering questions from patrons and moving around children who were getting into everything. The food was unfortunately inedible, except for the rice. It was dangerously salty and made us ill even though I ate very little of it. My guess is that this was an unusual occurrence, so probably worth a try. read more

Located centrally near gran Via, this was a pleasant surprise to find in Madrid. The place was fairly packed on a Saturday night. We had the eggplant in garlic sauce, beef noodle soup, spicy wontons and frog leg stir fry. The food was spicy and well flavored. The frog legs were great but can be a bit bony. Service was prompt. The food here is excellent and prepared very quickly. We especially enjoyed the fish and the crispy pork. The cucumber salad is also very well done. The service is as good as anyone could ask for! The waiter was fast, friendly, and made great recommendations. Great for small groups or intimate dining experience. 10/10!!!! I absolutely loved this restaurant! It's such a fun spot that's full of flavor! I am honestly sad that since it is in Madrid I most likely won't be able to return anytime soon. We needed a switch up from tapas, and Sichuan without a doubt delivered! The staff were very accommodating and sweet. The interior of the restaurant was cozy and clean. Food came out hot and quick. Visiting Madrid for the week. Wanted to find a spot that served Asian veggies. Pretty big restaurant. Great staff - spoke Spanish, English and Mandarin. Place was packed but not crowded. Ordered 4 dishes and a small tea pot (Tie Guan Yin). The food came pretty fast which was nice. Three of our dishes (beef, eggplant, and Sea bass hotpot) were medium spicy. Portion size was enough for two people. GF thought the dishes were small, but I think it was just enough. We enjoyed the dinner and finished everything and went on an evening walk in the neighborhood. read more

Boo Boo and I came here for dinner to change things up again. To my surprised its very legit. To the kids\teenagers working there are definitely the family's. They rather be on their cell phones than work. And the waiter didn't know Spanish or English well. We ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce, sauteed veggies, and the whole fish with chili sauce. Luckily we had booked a table, because on December 31st there were a lot of people in line for an available table. The atmosphere is pretty, clean, and modern. The staff is nice and relatively quick. We had several dishes, but they're quite generous, so you don't really need to order many things to fill yourself. We had beef hot-pot, gong-bao chicken, mapo tofu... all of which were delicious. The hot pot has a lot of oil in which the meat has been cooking. The Sichuan cuisine is definitely worth trying. This place is among the best overall Chinese restaurants in Madrid. read more

Wonderful sichuan in Madrid- we've been here a number of times, don't recommend menu del dia or whole fish.

I went to 2 Chinese restaurants in Madrid because YES, they are really that good and have very authentic dishes. Sometimes the appearance doesn't look like what you will get in LA/San Gabriel, but the tastes / flavors are really incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant - it has a nice modern atmosphere plus good service. We ordered bok choy which arrived chopped up into small pieces (tasted really good), pork mapo tofu with white rice, and some steamed pork dumplings. The dumplings came in a sweet soy sauce. They were ok, probably not something I would order again. they also offer various hot pot dishes (which we didnt order). The chrysanthemum tea was excellent, but they do charge for the tea like they do for the rice. read more

Really Great Food! This place is located in an alley off the main street. You enter too the bar right in front, full bar. The staff immediately come to seat you. The place was packed, so I didnt think we were going to get a seat, but they have a backroom too. As we were escorted to our table, I was able to see some of the dishes on the tables, and they looked good. Nothing looked stale and the presentation was interesting (chicken cascading down the middle of the plate). We started off with Sangria and a mango smoothie. Both didnt disappoint. The sangria came in a white flower pitcher and the smoothie in a mason mug with whip cream on top. For our meal, we ordered the eggplant, chicken, crispy noodles and fish in brown sauce. The fish came whole, so I asked if they could filet it. I must say, it is quite and art to watch them filet it. Our server did not rush to properly filet it. Once we tried it, we were even more content. No fishy taste, smooth, melts in your mouth texture. The shrimps were tangy, slight spice and pops of flavor. The chicken and noodles were also superb. Before eating here, I had a modest estimation of Chinese restaurants, but I was invited along with three others by a Chinese friend who assured us it's an authentic Chinese restaurant, without local influence as is commonly the case. From young to old, this trendy Sichuan restaurant was a consensus family hit on my recent Europe trip with the fam. Having experienced multiple misses with Chinese restaurants in Spain, admittedly, I did not have very high expectation coming in. But this was quickly changed with a quick glance of the menu that had a rather large variety of authentic dishes -- much on par with a well-stocked restaurant in NYC. While most are Sichuan, some popular Southern dishes can also be found here like lamb chops, garlic shrimp and seasonable vegetables. We ordered more than 10 dishes from the menu, including both cold appetizers and hot dishes. Taste-wise and service-wise, excellent in almost every way! I enjoy spicy dishes that pack a punch: they definitely delivered here! Finally, I was surprised to find they had a large selection of fresh vegetables (we had morning glories). This tend not to be the case in most Chinese restaurants in Europe as demand is simply not there. This certainly was a huge plus for our family. Be sure to get here early! Our family of 12 arrived as soon as it opened and there was a sizable young crowd already waiting to get in -- for me, this is usually a very good sign of good Chinese food. Fantastic, spicy, tasty, MSG laden, proper Sichuan style food. We got the sichuan style tofu and garlic eggplant. Both dishes completely satiated our craving for spicy chinese food and then some more! The server was patient enough to explain each dish and verify it didn't contain any ingredients that we don't eat (fish, eggs, non-veg broth etc.). This is a big deal since most Chinese/Thai restaurant servers are either ignorant or just plain indifferent about this very important consideration for vegetarians!
