We were sold a $28,000 Reverse Osmosis HANS System in 2022, based upon the water test conducted by…read moreCulligan; which is without a doubt a conflict of interest. To date we still have yet to be provided with a copy of the original results from said test despite requesting it. We were told by the Culligan Representative that the HANS system was the ONLY available system that would take care of the "toxic slime bacteria" that our water had tested positive for. This of course was false. Slime bacteria would be commonly found in a house that has sat abandoned for a period of time. Without water being run through the pipes for some time, build up would normally occur and could have been simply cleared out by having the well and pipes flushed out. On top of the machine price we paid a $1700 1 year maintenance and warranty on the machine which snowballed into over a year of problems with the machine; broken parts, basement flooding, constant phone calls to SJ Culligan, loss of time at work for repairs, waiting weeks for parts all while having to bypass the machine in order to have water in the house. We fought with Culligan for months and they finally agreed to take out the HANS system. At that point Culligan replaced the HANS with what they told us was a Commercial Reverse Osmosis System. We were informed that this machine cost significantly less than the HANS but were not given a price adjustment for the replacement, leaving us to pay off a loan for a machine that never worked correctly nor do we own anymore. The new machine has also come with a slew of problems including more broken parts and a flooded basement on multiple occasions. We continue to be charged for service calls when their machine is once again defective. In addition, we were ABSOLUTLEY CLEAR with the Culligan Representative that sold us the machine that multiple members of our family have severe chlorine allergies. It is beyond problematic that chlorine was indicated in the water test conducted at our kitchen sink. My wife's face is so red, she doesn't want to go out in public and I have painful psoriasis on my elbows and knees. My kids also display painful rashes on their hands frequently. Finally, there are absolutely no minerals being put back into our water. We have collectively struggled with severe dry mouth for over two years. Our kids are also displaying heightened behavioral issues which can be attributed to the having no zinc, iron, or magnesium in the water they drink all day; as they are homeschooled. My wife and our kids have also been complaining about constant stomach aches. The common denominator would be mineral-less drinking water. Magnesium and zinc are CRUCIAL for gut integrity, digestive system function, and microbiome balance. They have collectively have been displaying bloating, constipation, and inflammation. We were told by the Regional Manager that the system would strip the water and the grey tank would put the minerals back into the water. We were never given any information other than that verbally or in writing about the type of maintenance the commercial system that was put in to replace the HANS required. These facts all lead to the direct conclusion that we were sold a machine to fulfill commission on a new product Culligan was promoting without an actual need for it to be inside of our home. We were clearly mislead and our desire to protect ourselves and our kids was manipulated to gain a sale of an incredibly expensive machine that was not only completely unnecessary but never worked correctly either. We were offered a settlement on September 12, 2025 and were pushed to sign with a deadline of September 22, 2025 but decided to conduct the water test to determine the quality of our water and put together the big picture. Upon reaching out with the lab report on October 2, 2025, we have were ignored by Cullligan. After another follow up attempt we were told on October 14, 2025, "we have received your email and it is currently being reviewed." After waiting patiently, we reached out again via email on November 7, 2025 and to date have heard NOTHING from Culligan.

Technician came, serviced the system, I asked for an invoice and was given a sheet of paper with 2 hand written items while being treated like I had 3 heads. Waited a couple of weeks and called them to ask for an invoice. I was emailed an invoice of $736.54. $395.80 of this was just for 4 filters changed. I've had previous servicing by them, it was never more than $400. No warning, no consult to approve this change just wam!! Doubled the quote without even asking if we could approve/afford the price change. Asked the rude receptionist why the tech would make such expensive changes without informing me, the home owner, and she brushed me off and said 'when you ask for a service, this is what they come and do'. So why not quote it as such?? Is this ethical? I'm so disgusted and completely over this company. No more RO water for me. Cheaper to buy bottled water at this rate.

I can't say enough about Bart. Incredibly professional and speedy. I closed on my home in June 2021…read moreand needed a chlorination of the well as it came positive with some bacteria. Bart submitted a proposal at a reasonable cost well before closing as part of the closing requirement and called me to let me know it was submitted. Immediately after closing I called Bart and as I was living some 50 minutes away I left him with my door key pad code and allowed access to complete the work. It didn't take very long to have the chlorination completed. As I'm pulling up he was already wrapping up and was the most jolly man I could've expected. We showed him the video of my sons reaction to seeing the house for the first time and becoming very emotional with joy. Bart was so touched by this he actually worked with his company admin to prepare a special gift basket for my son featuring his favorite superhero, Spider-Man, some pijamas, a lamp, a bed set with converter and the works. It was delivered in person by the admin and we are so overjoyed and satisfied by this. It came from their hearts and Bart has a special place in our hearts and home. As long as Al's waterpump exists I will not work with any other specialist. I already have some additional work I am saving up for as Bart will be upgrading our pump system and we look forward to working with him for many years to come. Thank you so much for making this such a positive impact in our lives and your generosity. You didn't need to gift my son anything and it came from your heart to do so. It wasn't expected by us and we don't expect it in the future. It will not be forgotten. Thank you so much Bart and Als waterpump.

Hudson, the owner, displayed such an unparalleled knowledge of water treatment systems and their installation that I gave him the job. I made the right decision. The job was done professionally, Hudson and his assistant worked neatly and efficiently, and my water passed the NJ well water quality standards. I couldn't be more pleased with the job they did. On top of that, Hudson is a great guy to work with. He's very courteous and professional. He really knows his business. If you ever need water treatment, I strongly recommend this business.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a contractor…read more From the beginning, the owner was unreliable, disrespectful, and unprofessional. His attitude changed constantly--one minute he was friendly, and the next he became rude and argumentative. It was impossible to know how he would react. I also found that he had difficulty controlling his temper, and based on my experience, he was not honest in his dealings with me. The problems began when he accidentally broke a pipe connected to my water heater, flooding my entire utility room. Water covered the walls, floor, and appliances. Instead of accepting responsibility, he blamed the plumber who had installed the water heater seven years earlier, even though everything had been working perfectly before he arrived. He then tried to charge me $300 to repair the very pipe that he had broken. The flooding also damaged my utility room door. Because of the way he handled the situation, the door became chipped and would no longer close properly. He used a crowbar on the door and frame, leaving numerous dents in the frame as well. As a result, I now have both a damaged door and a damaged door frame. Initially, he agreed to repair or pay for the damaged door, but the following day he changed his mind. Instead, he suggested using the TDS meter he had given me as compensation. The problem is that the TDS meter was never a gift--it was part of the bonus he promised if I hired him. He claimed it cost him $130, but I later found the exact same model online for about $10. In fact, one of our children already owns the identical meter for a fish tank. That explanation simply wasn't believable. We also hired him to install a reverse osmosis system. The original agreement was to connect the system to both the kitchen faucet and the refrigerator. After completing the work, only the kitchen faucet was connected. When I asked about the refrigerator connection, I was told there would be an additional charge to complete that connection. I also discovered that the extra tubing and fittings that came with the reverse osmosis system were no longer at my house. Since I had purchased the entire system, I expected all of the unused parts to be left with me. Instead, I had to purchase replacement tubing and fittings myself in order to connect the refrigerator. He also left the work area messy. Rather than cleaning up after the installation, he left me with the debris while taking away the leftover materials. Although he may be good at selling his services, my experience with the quality of his installation work and his customer service was extremely poor. I cannot recommend this company. Paying a little more for a reputable contractor is well worth avoiding the damage, frustration, and additional expenses that I experienced. If you still decide to hire this company, I strongly recommend that you: * Verify that the contractor is properly licensed and insured. * Get every detail of the work in writing before the job begins. * Inspect the completed work carefully before making final payment. * Clarify in advance exactly what is included in the quoted price so there are no unexpected charges later. * Make sure all unused parts and leftover materials that belong to you remain with you after the installation. * Ask for references from recent customers and contact them before hiring. * Read recent customer reviews rather than relying on old marketing materials or decades-old paperwork. Based on my experience, I would never hire this company again. I also would not want anyone else to go through the same frustration, property damage, and unnecessary expense that my family experienced.

So all that needed to be done was to cut the drain pipes under the sink and use a coupler to put it back together. It's an easy fix that I could do myself but I had other projects to do and I honestly just didn't feel like doing it. Also when I shut the water off to the sink I also noticed the valve had a small leak so I asked for the quote to include that also. I was quoted $950 for these simple fixes. I politely told them no, they charged me nearly $80 just to come and look and sent them on their way. Low and behold my pump shit the bed and we had no water in the house. Aqua solutions was referred by a family friend and I am extremely happy with the results. A new pump was installed as well as a new tank and sanitization of the line. What put Mike and his crew over the top for us was his honesty. Being that we were installing new equipment I was concerned that I would have to replace all existing equipment. Not the case at all! I could have easily been ripped off (as a competitor stated) and told I had to replace it. I was saved around $850 in material alone. Side note, this is the definition of a family business! Mike is the owner and if you call the office his wife Is the primary liaison. Professional, courteous and respectful. The pride they take in their work shows in the finished result. Your home is treated as their own! I highly recommend this company to anyone who has a well.

Afterward,…read morethe owner contacted her late at night, demanded that she remove the review by the morning, threatened legal action, claimed that the visit and phone calls had been recorded, and sent photographs and video taken at our property. As her husband, I found the way he handled this extremely disturbing and intimidating. Instead of responding professionally to a customer's concerns, he tried to pressure my wife into removing her review. His own written invoice confirms that he recommended replacing the well pump and pressure tank. We obtained a second opinion, did not proceed with those recommendations, and the immediate water problem was resolved another way. I am posting this so future customers are aware not only of our service experience, but also of how this business responded when my wife shared her honest opinion. We have preserved all messages, recordings, photographs, videos, and documents.
