For the same price as HEB's basic wash ($8), you get access to free vacuums and air. There are plenty of stations available, each equipped with two types of vacuums (long, narrow crevice hose and floor hose) and air hoses on both sides. Super convenient and worth it. They also have various memberships -- 6 or 12 month unlimited washes or buy 3 washes, get one free.

If you just go through the wash by itself at the base or one up from the base wash, you will have some areas that still need some scrubbing. However, if you take the time and do some work yourself using the cloths / vacuums / mat cleaners provided, overall it's a pretty good way to clean off your car. I would not recommend for heavy mud stains or cars with any damage, but if you just need a wash off, I'd much prefer this location to something like at HEB. They also often have deals for the monthly membership, so it may make sense if you want to regularly wash your car

It's almost exactly the same, meaning you pay a similar price, go up to the machine car wash and someone scrubs your car a little to loosen any debris and then you go through a machine with colored foam. I personally think the gentleman who wipes the water droplets off your car after the dryer is a nice touch because for people like me who have never waxed their car in life, my car can look like it cried if water dries naturally AND the only reason I go to whitewater is for the self-serve complimentary vacuum situation they have going on. That said, I didn't have any cash for the vacuum machines Sharky's offers and so my car is a little dusty still, but my plan is to wake up earlier and go to whitewater next time. Bottom line, my car looks way better than it did, and that was the point.

Hot tip - the whole thing about taking your antenna off is no joke. I lost my antenna in the car wash. Thank goodness the machine didn't use it to whip scratches in my paint. I've never had a car wash tunnel damage an antenna like that. That was the worst part of my experience. After leaving the tunnel, the guys wiped everything down. The truck looked pristine. I can imagine if you use your car for business or just like a clean whip, the unlimited deal would be awesome. I'm not that concerned though.

Clear Water also has a nice vacuum area complete with towels and window cleaner that is complimentary after your wash. I chose the third tier wax & seal wash for $20, which advertises rain repel, tire shine, and fusion wax. This car wash seems to place more emphasis on its monthly memberships than single washes, with the wax & seal tier being only slightly more for a monthly membership ($33) than I paid for my single wash. For the most part my car emerged from the wash shiny, although I did clean up a few spots that were missed with the towels. However, I have a rain curse -- every time I wash my car it rains not long after, and the wash did not hold up through the rain despite the "rain repel" and wax seal. I may revisit when no rain is in the forecast, or try one of the two cheaper price tiers.
