I have been going to them for a few years now ever since another dry cleaning place handed back my tuxedo shirt with the pleats heavily wrinkled in a few places before a friend's wedding. After the wedding, I took the same shirt to Pure Cleaners and they dry cleaned the shirt to perfection. From then on, I have taken all my dry cleaning to them. This is one of 3 local cleaners in a small area but it is the one we use most. Aside from the occasional suit clean (and by occasional I mean marry em or bury em are the only times I suit up) we do not use dry cleaning hardly ever. However we do come by to have alterations done etc. One of the things missing from my flight suit and jacket are the velcro needed to place patches. I have a ton of kid friendly ones that I wear at work. The problem is unless it is done right the velcro will tear off the suit after 2-3 patch changes. I live nearby but had never used their service until a few months ago. I drove there on one of the mornings, not realizing that they were not open yet. The inside was dark and the door was locked. I was about to leave and then saw the owner running to the front to open the door for me. What a wonderful gesture. I got my dress dry cleaned by them and it was ready the next day. I have a hard time understanding the snarky reviews some have posted. (Is someone really bothered by the fact that they're in a "little old strip mall"??). We've been regulars at Pure Cleaners for many years, and Jenny and her husband have unfailingly been polite, pleasant and easy to work with. if you like the idea of supporting a friendly, honest-to-goodness home town small business that does quality work, you owe it to yourself to take your business to Jenny. There's nothing like walking in to the store and having Jenny say "hi" then immediately turn and get your perfectly-cleaned clothes off the rack. No need to see your receipt, she knows her customers that well. One reviewer noted that as soon as they walked in, Jenny said, "Oh, can you come back later?" Would they prefer going into a bigger, less friendly place where someone asked for your tag, wandered around looking for the order, then came back and said, "Can you come back later?" In any case, Jenny has never given us anything but great service, from dry cleaning to alterations. I honestly don't know if there are places that would be cheaper, because I've stopped looking -- I just don't have the time. This cleaners also goes by "Pure Cleaners" based on the sign in front and they're in a little old strip mall on the intersection of Colorado and Middle field in mid-town palo alto. I highly recommend going there if you like to be frustrated and treated with blunt rudeness by their customer support person, and co-owner Jenny. A couple years ago I had pants hemmed there and dry cleaning and it was fine. This past week I had a new zipper for some jeans and an elastic for pajamas put it. It was $18 for each, which is a little high for the pajamas, but not unreasonable. At any rate Jenny said it would be done Monday. I come in Monday at 2pm and as soon as she sees me she says "oh, can you come later?" She had forgotten my jeans at home. I had driven from work to pick them up- a 15-20 minute drive, and let her know that. Then she told me it was "store policy" that people pick up their clothing after 5 and I should have known. They have no signs nor does it say on the claim check for alternations or cleaning that pickup after 5. When I asked when everyone else's clothing for alternations (not cleaning) came back, she said this morning, it was just mine. So I asked her for a discount on the work in exchange for all the trouble I'd have to drive out there another day to pick up it. She offered me $1 on $36 (not including tax) of alternations. When I told her that was ridiculously low, and even $3 is very reasonable for the time and effort I'd have to go to, she just shrugged and her attitude was "too bad for you" as if it was my fault. Jenny was totally unprofessional, unapologetic, and unwilling to negotiate even modest exchange for her mistake. God knows if she even pays tax on the $35 bucks I gave her for her work. So if you want to experience the worst customer support you have ever had outside of former Soviet-bloc countries, try Jenny at Pure Cleaners at this location. She's a real gem, as you can see. You know you are ridiculous when you go out of your way, like 45 minutes out of your way, to your old 'hood's dry cleaner. OR, the establishment must be just that good. Pure Plus Cleaners is my fav, fav place to freshen up my soiled wardrobe, re-engineer an off-fitting dress, hem jeans, launder my hubby's shirts and so on. The owners are a husband/wife team, and she's always got my drop-offs ready for me w/o my ever needing to bring back my ticket. It's amazing how she remembers my name and enters it into the system w/o any garments (ever over the past 4 years) getting lost. One last plus about that re-engineering dress thing ... I've literally sat with the owner as we pinned and re-pinned garments, then let them out and re-altered them (on multiple occasions with no extra charge) until they fit perfectly. Where ever can you find this kind of service? I DON'T KNOW! read more

They do a great job with all my dress shirts and slacks and it's ridiculously cheap compared to other cleaners in Palo Alto! Jenny knows me by name and always greets me with a smile! I couldn't be happier with their service. It does normally take 3 - 4 business days so plan your wardrobe accordingly. read more

Counter lady who took my original order was very rude then told me that cleaning one of my items would be cheaper than the actual charge. They told me they would call me when the articles were ready. They did not. I had to stop by while I was in the area. When I did, I was greeted by the owner who was very nice and after I challenged him on the overcharge on one of my articles he made efforts to correct it. However, all in all, this cleaner over charged me, took longer than they should and was rude to me. I will not go back. read more

I've had nothing but good experiences here. One of the lowest priced cleaners in town. They do a great job with dress shirts. The people there are really nice. One time I told them that I needed to pick up my clothes on a Saturday...i was really busy that day and it slipped my mind...they called me and reminded me...great service! read more

Pure cleaners (the one next to the shoe repair in Middlefield and Colorado): Overpriced, and not a great job. To be more specific: a steal. The lady in the counter is rude, with an inexistent notion of service. Avoid going there. I live a couple of blocks from there and I will never go back, and will prevent the neighbors. read more
