The facility is clean tidy, and they have state of the art machinery. I get my retainers from there and the ability to see how they take a 3D model of your mouth to get perfect fitting retainers is pretty cool! read more

I rarely write reviews but I cannot keep quiet about this one. My 15 y.o. was referred by a dentist to pure orthodontics. The appointment was made quite quickly (good!) but when we came, the orthodontist didn't even meet with us. They did an X-Ray and all decisions were made by the X-Ray, no meet and greet. They didn't follow up with us as they promised either. And, what really made me switch to another orthodontist was that the girl simply lied in my face about calling my insurance (never did!) And beware that direct billing is not allowed by the College of Orthodontics. But Pure Orthodontics do it. I would stay away from this practice at any cost! read more

My daughter went there for braces and minor correction. We played over 10000 cad for this. Told when off braces said sure that retainers were covered. That they would follow up after they were off to check in free of charge. Now it changed, no following up. Dr. H is great, he is friendly and always helpful when it comes to explaining things. You get the impression that he is excited about his job and actually likes kids. He's always very good with my daughter who is nervous for appointments. Almost all of the orthodontic assistants are great with my daughter too, and seem to be very competent. We have had one bad experience with one of the assistants who was not very gentle and did not appear to be very competent (the doctor had to correct what she had done more than once). And we have had one unpleasant experience with one orthodontist there who we did not find to be as nice or gentle or patient. But as long as we see Dr. H it's a good experience. read more

It is completely business and they don't care about their patients/client. I'm definitely not recommending this company. They get you in only if you are a new patient/ customer they will accommodate you (MONEY/Business) BUT not for existing patients. They let my kids suffer and experience the pain after all this years. My friend was wanting to get a consultant, as a new customer and accommodated them. However my kids suffered the pain. We've been with them since September 2018, no consideration. They don't know their priorities. All they want is to get more clients = more business the better They allow their existing patient to experience and suffer the pain for 3 weeks because they can't accommodate us because their busy taking new clients. The company is not organized, relaying the message. The staff Jenna and Tatianna they arranged an appointment at HELLO DENTAL, since they are aware of the emergency matter. Pure Orthodontics made sure that there would be no charge, which is a relief. My daughter was ready to go to HELLO DENTAL in Leduc. However for the last minute, the receptionist Kateleem, called and said that DR. Ian will charge us for cutting the wire. Just for cutting the wire, the doctor decided to charge us! my daughter's teeth is still a mess inside after her treatment, now she had t do a 2nd phase to fix the whole teeth. I paid in advance in full amount to take advantage of the discount. I paid the full amount i. June and they book my daughter in August. I submitted my receipt to Blue Cross but Blue Cross denied my claim due to lack of pre-authorization/pre-approvsl for the treatment. i asked for assistance from Pure but they just modified the receipt and still not acceptable to Blue Cross. I asked if I could speak to Financial staff who assisted me when I paid but they said no one is available and just send them an email. Sending an email is horrible as there is no response right away. you need to wait 3 to 1 week for them to respond. booking for 1st appointmen/assessment of paying takes only a few days and they are always available but booking when there is a problem , no one is available. Honestly I feel this orthodontics will be a waste of time for anyone who has not yet been. I'm tired of them only being in certain locations each day, and they are ALWAYS fully committed even unable to squeeze a patient in for a quick fix. They are always understaffed and running late, it seems like they will hire on anyone with any relevance of knowledge to braces. I've sat in the chair for 30+hrs I feel like I'm able to do everything they do. With the same quality. I had gone to pure cause they had an outstanding review 2-3 years ago. And now ever since I wish that I had taken my business and money else where. I'm on a phase 2 treatment which costed 8500$ out of pocket as when I was covered with Benefits they never helped me out, they gave me a piece of paper and pretty much told me to figure it out. As my benefits did " direct billing ". Now it's 100% costing me 8500$. Not to mention still another 1500$ for the life time retainer warranty plan. I'm highly suggesting you guys do some research if you are planning on braces. Find a place that's best fit for you, if you are prone to accidents and all. Find a place that isn't always " Fully committed " cause there has not been a single time I called in and got fixed up in the same day. Merely even a week. It's disappointing as my quoted time was 2 years. Now I'm on year 3. Still on. And I'm being told I'll still need to be seen a few more times, They always switch up on what they are doing to you're teeth ( obviously they have to ) but they back track so much, it's unbelievable. My son started a treatement for underbite when he was 7 years old. This was phase 1 which cost 5400 Cad. He got braces which were removed last December. He has been monitored over the last year by the team from Pure Orthodontics. None of them figured out that my son was missing his right upper canine and there was no space for this tooth. I took my son every 5-6 months there and no one cared about this. They gave him plastic retainers to wear overnight. Last month I called and asked to have my son's denture reassessed. After they saw him today I was told we need to move to phase 2 which involves another set of braces and of course, another 4000 Cad. I wonder why no one noticed he hasn't got room for the adult canine coming out and waited for so long ... pretending their assessing him every 5-6 months ... assessing what??? I was the only one noticing this problem?! I am extremely disappointed with what they've done! I chose this clinic based on the reviews they had here 2 years ago but it looks like their quality is not the same! Certainly I would discourage people going there and I am already looking for a different clinic for my children! read more

Brutal customer service all around. I would prefer to give this a negative review but that not possible. I got my Invisalign through the west end location because I knew someone who worked there. When I signed up I made sure that I got all the bells and whistles. I got the retainer and wire with the warranty plan that covered me for life if I had any issues with my retainers. When I called today to get in to have my wire cemented back on due to part of it popping off last night they told me that everyone was busy today and I couldn't get in to see anyone even as an emergency. When I told them I was leaving for work in the morning and wouldn't be back from work until Tuesday she kept trying to book me in for tomorrow. When I told her that I have the lifetime plan as I signed up for it when I signed everything for my Invisalign I was certain I had this. She said I denied it. So I verified with the person I know who used to work there, and They stated that I do have this they wrote it in my file them self. Based on the fact that when I called them, who were the ones who put the wire on and I asked them to fix it and they kept telling me I denied the services, I will never refer anyone to pure nor will I ever go back. They all seem to have extreme sass towards clients / Patients and I would prefer to be respected not talked down to. I called my dentist and they said they would do it no problem and may not even charge me. I would NOT recommend. Very dissatisfied. They have completely ripped me off and essentially stole $1000 from me. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My daughter wanted invisaligns, and chose Pure Southside Edmonton. At first, everyone seemed quite helpful, though a little rushed, for our initial consultation. They ran the cost through both of our benefits, and confirmed with us that everything but $2000.00 was covered. Then they had us sign all of the paperwork. A week later, I was notified that in fact only one of the benefit plans covered any of the cost. This left us with 6,000.00 owing!!!! When I contacted them, to see what had happened, they said "well, sometimes that happens". What the hell kind of answer is that! Had I known the out of pocket cost, I would have NEVER signed the paper work or proceeded with the plan of treatment. A year later, my daughter decides she wants the "buttons" removed, as the trays were actually making her teeth worse (which they were). I phoned ahead of time to ensure that there was no charge for the appt., and that they would NOT be taking any money from her when she showed up. I spoke to THREE people (1 at the location, 1 in the finance department, and another one from the central number). All 3 confirmed that there in face would be NO MONEY CHARGED at this final appt. When my daughter showed up, they said there was a 200.00 charge that she needed to pay for, and took the money from her! Get your crap together! The final straw was during this appt., they were 40 minutes behind, and when they finally got her in the chair, they had no idea what the hell she was there for. They finally proceeded with removing the buttons, but because they were in such a rush because they were behind, they chose to drill the buttons off instead of the gentler, more thorough method of removing the glue, etc. She was choking and couldn't breathe because of the dust/residue that was clogging her throat. Not once did they rinse or suction until AFTER it was done. There are several other companies that provide invisaligns - I strongly recommend you look at them. Even if they are a little more than these guys - it's worth it. This is the worst organized company I have ever dealt with, and their complete lack of ethics is horrendous!!! Marketing is ridiculous and you pay 10,000 dollars for cookies :) it appears as though you have to meet some sort of standard to work there and they have 5000 locations so they're only open in my city once or twice a week. At my last appointment, the girl doing my braces was very rough and proceded to drop a bracket on the floor, bang my bottom teeth with her pliers (several times), and scraped the back of my mouth with my wire. The bracket that she put on has now fallen off, a mere 30 minutes after my appointment. Please hire people who actually know what they're doing, not just cause they're pretty. very unprofessional. I started my treatment last July. For my first free consultation they appeared to be very friendly, flexible and easy going. I even got 10 minutes with one of their orthodontist. However, as soon as I signed the contract ($7,900 for the treatment plan, 37 Invisalign trays), it became apparent that they were not really interested in me as a patient. Getting a hold of them is extremely difficult. Sometimes I had to press the option for a new patient just to get through. Every time it's a different person who is helping you with your trays, and you see an actual orthodontist for 5 minutes during your appointment, and that's it. Overpriced and treat you as a number and not a patient. read more

Booked my appointment 8 weeks ago. The orthodontist himself told me to book to get my braces off. The receptionist said she would book me in on the 13th and then 20th. The twentieth would be to get my retainers. So I book an ENTIRE day off work on the 13th. I call to make a payment arrangement half today half Friday. The finance team said no problem! So then I confirm that I'm getting my braces off. They tell me, sorry we had you booked in for your retainers today and braces off next week. We could get you in today to get your braces off but we would need a FULL payment. So you were okay with the payment arrangement prior to this but now all of a sudden you're needing a full payment? Then the finance team throws my financial situation in my face which is SO unprofessional and distasteful. So now I've booked an entire day off of work which is me losing income and they can't go above and beyond to make things right when it was there screw up. In a span of 20 minutes, they've blamed me for not making enough money, blamed me for not booking the right appointment when all I said was my braces need to come off in 6 weeks as per the orthodontist and not once have I been apologized to. Not once have they attempted to correct this for me. With this company it will never be their fault. It will always be the customers fault. Then they'll have the audacity to throw your situation in your face as if they're better than you and they can do no wrong. Absolutely disgusting customer service. The receptionist and financial team were doing so good in my books and now here we are. In fact I may have to go to another orthodontists to get these braces off. Absolutely terrible. I go there for my braces, and without fail every single time they do something wrong. I went there yesterday, and the girl assisting forgot to reattach one of the brackets to my teeth. I noticed in the car on the way back, and when we went back, she refused to own up to her mistake and was entirely unprofessional. That appointment was SUPPOSED to be to take my braces off, just like the past THREE have been, but every time they seem to find another reason that I have to leave them on. For Invisalign, they always make you pay the highest no matter what your conditions are. I only need a degree 1 to 2 treatment but they charged me around $8,000, way higher than other orthodontics. The staff at Pure Orthodontics are amazing, and are always extremely welcoming. They are very bubbly, and always have smiles on their faces. I really enjoy going to the orthodontist because they always have fresh, super soft, chocolate chip cookies-- who doesn't want one of those after their appointment? They always update us on what the appointment was about, and what they had done, so we can understand what is going on with our treatment. Another highlight is that they offer monthly payment plans! I went to Pure Orthodontics for a consultation/another est on cost. Dr Hussain was late to see me did not spend much time with me at all and gave me a pretty significant quote. The ladies that did most of the talking while we waited kept complimenting my clothing, jewelry etc as well when I told them what I did for a living they so much as started to talk about how much money I probably make due to everyone in that field tends make a fair amount. I would have went to Pure if my quote wasn't a third higher than any other orthodontist I had seen, and I don't know if my quote was so high because of my career and what I had on. read more

My daughter went to Pure to get braces and I found the experince to be wanting. Pure orthodontics remainds me of a used car dealership, high pressure tatics and snotty receptionists first turned me off then the high price for braces was absurd. The office is well designed and looks expensive with state of the art equipment but I don't go there to look at the pretty fish tank. I found most people who work there to be fake and not really passioniate about helping people fix their teeth other then Dr. Hussain, he seemed friendly and empathic. What really killed the experince for me was the fact that he has different offices in Sherwood Park and Edmonton and they are only open certain days a week so if you have an emergency you might have to trek across the city to see him.
