Same as Jessica J., I am one of the patients of Dr. Puszczack !please read my long review. :)…read more
In the year of 2009, I went for TMJ treatment with Dr. Puszczak at Callingwood Orthodontics, the first step was 6 months of splint at that time it eased of the pain, then in May 2010, Dr. P went on 2nd step by putting on the braces on, it was a long journey and I can wait for the outcome.
Years went by; I came back steps by steps for changing wires, putting on elastics, making some adjustment...My TMJ did not get better but to the worst, with the Dr. Explanation this treatment would go through an active and deactivate phases (the pain will come and go).I was patiently waiting to be painless when it is all done.
Summer 2013. The big shock came when Dr. Puszczack sold his practice and left without any notice nor warning!!! I was in very devastated, I came for Health treatment; it was an extremely unprofessional conduct of this Dr. , I felt betrayed, hurt and so on....
For 4 years and one month, the treatment was extremely unpleasant more for adult teeth with braces and the outcome was so sad, (the price was very high, I have to cut off all the bridges for this treatment and build new one after). I still have my TMJ pain, ....
One week before going to my final record photos, X- ray, I wrote Dr. Didich a letter ( the new Dr. who purchased this practice ) expressing my sad felling toward my new UN-braces look,( Over bite after treatment ) and on Nov. 4 2013, I went in to see her. I was touch by the way she would understand how I feel and willing to make me a new braces.
In the mean time I am under TMJ treatment by Dr. Marc, if My TMJ is better; I am not sure do I want to go through minimum of another 12 months "Brace on" again! :(.
Dec 2013. I Just went back to see Dr. Diduch, as I mentioned to her for not wanting to have new braces, Dr. Diduch made me a new retainer and loose the splint at nighttime wear, this time it fits much better, and I am still going to Dr. Marc for my TMJ treatment , the teeth still very sensitive, hoping better until Xmas.
Dec 7th 2015. For the new thermos retainer as we discussed on last Splint insertion, my TMJ is improving under the same condition of my daily routine for the last many years:
No chewing gum, no hard foods, no big bite foods, no chew-able foods products, using extra soft toothbrush, using replacement Enamel toothpaste. After 3 weeks of carefully monitoring the progress as follow: The pain is reducing 10 % to 30. % by wearing the new splint, slowly my pain easy off 50 % and I am feeling in heaven, still coming back for adjustment.
May 2017. The nasty TMJ comes back, (for the people who has TMJ problem they may know, the jaw and join is moving slowly as you age, this is not easy to cure one, I did tons of research and I should have done before the treatments ). I went back to see Dr. Didich today for the adjustment, we may have to get a new Splint ...again!...:(
I fell it is unfair to give her a negative review, even I am the "victim " in the whole process ( my total bills turn out over 25K .Two sets of new bridges plus six crowns since the teeth cracked during the brace treatment along with resection filled up and repair....) and still have pain , but Dr. Didutch have nothing to do with this " mess" she is the one who is trying and trying to straight it out for me . Whenever the pain comes, I am still very ..angry with the irresponsible DR. Puzczack!
