My suggestion is that every male nail tech should receive a pedicure from another male tech. If I ever go here again (and that's iffy) I'll never let another male tech do my toes. we were there tonight around 6:30. everytime I get a pedicure I get either a acrylic nail or build up on my big toe because I have short stubby toes and for whatever reason my toenail does not grow super long! I ALWAYS go here to get it done because they do a fantastic job... well not tonight. we get sat in the pedicure chairs and I ask the man doing my pedicure before we start anything/ any conversation if he could do it because I always get it done. he took a look at my toes and said yes it will be $17 extra, then even went to confirm and said actually $15. I said okay great. he then starts my massage which wasn't even enjoyable because he was rushing, asked me the color ect. AFTER, he finishes all of that he then tells me he won't be able to do it because my nail is too short?? he literally looked at it before even starting and said he would be able to, they don't shrink in 3 minutes? He brought 2 other people over to look at my toes and they all shook their head no. I argued that he said he could do it before we even started and he kept saying no he couldn't do it he was sorry. I told him not to even worry about finishing because I was not gojng to pay for something that I was told could be done. Most recent update :: My nail tech who used to work here, Kim, has moved to Pepper Tree Park Salon in Longview. I now go there More recent update : my tech wasn't here. I got a younger girl who did my pedicure. She was rough on the cuticle. The main reason I don't get a regular pedi is so that my callus can be taken care of. When she scraped my feet, and when she used the pumice stone , not once did she touch the callus. I took my nail and scraped it, and a lot of dead skin came off under my nail. Disappointed. Won't be back unless my tech is available. Now I have to go home and tend to my own feet at the bottom. On the brighter side, she gives a good thorough foot massage. Update: went again to the tech I said I would go back to. She was more talkative, and she offered me wine - so they DO have it. The sangria is better. I had an even more pleasant experience than the first time, and I will be back to this same tech in two weeks! First impression : I am new to the area, so I had to Yelp the best nail salon. After my research, i saw that this was the best of the best that Longview had to offer- and they have certificates to prove it. They wear name tags. This is a first for me. Just had to mention. It's a nice place. It looks smaller than it is, but it's larger in the back where you get pedicures. The color selection isn't as big as I have seen in the past, but it will do (they may have more colors elsewhere). Got here on a Monday at around 7:20. They close at 8. I looked at the menu And was found to go for the basic pedicure for $28, but wasn't sure if it came with a callous removal, so I got the $38 pedicure. Nancy was my tech. From what I could gather, she doesn't speak very good English, but it all worked out okay. This pedi came with oranges that she placed on the tops of my feet and later scrubbed my toes with (that was different). After fixing my cuticles she scrubbed my feet. The pumice stone was very small. Sanitary- because they throw those away I'm assuming, but very trial sized. It seems as if I didn't get the full scrubbing I needed - well that my feet needed. She used the larger scraper on areas of my feet (I'm used to the whole foot getting scraped)- later she placed them in the paraffin wax. This treatment came with hot rock massage and a towel wrap (Towels weren't hot). An oil massage followed by a moisturizer massage (she had a two sided dish. One side with an oil (room temp) and one side with moisturizer. All the while my feet were in the paraffin. The massage she gave my foot after she put the moisturizer on was so good!!! My goodness. They Use torn paper towel to separate toes. I didn't get paper sandals- maybe because it was closing time. They put my sandals back on - something I wanted anyway. Con: small pumice stone -which could be a plus for some)NO WINE with pedicure. I'm so used to that! She did offer me water, coke or doctor pepper. Drying the feet: this is just a personal issue for me. She didn't know, otherwise she wouldn't have done it. She took the towel and she "scissored" in between each toe with the towel. It wasn't a constant sawing motion, but my toes are very sensitive- especially Mrs. Pinky. She could tell I was uncomfortable and apologized. Pros: everything else. Nancy was nice. I saw a tech who scrubbed the bottom of a lady's feet to no end- I bet she's still in there scrubbing. I'll go to her next time, because I need a good scrubbing!!!! read more

Went to get shellac on my nails and regular pedicure. $94 dollars late: Shellac lasted 5 days. That has to be a record. And pedicure was just terrible. Bunch of gashes in toe polish. Seriously if I could give negative stars I would. I went in today to get my nails done, I needed a new set of acrylics. The guy tried to pry my old acrylics off but I kept flinching because it hurt like crazy, so he decided that he would soak them off but didn't want to wait for them to fully soak off and tried again multiple times to pry them off. Ended up ripping part of my right ring finger nail in the process. Never once asked what shape I wanted, I assumed he would when he got ready to shape so I didn't think much of it until I realized he was nearly done with them. I asked to matte grey and when he started to put the grey powder I noticed that there were blue specks in the grey and he ignored it.(you could tell he saw them because he kept pulling my hand close to look then would try to fix it then just move on). The nails themselves as crooked, and lumpy. They are fat square shaped with very sharp corners (I have a young kid in diapers and I'm worried I may cut him while changing him now). Overall I am so very Unsatisfied with the experience and the ending nails. I will NEVER go back and I will be telling others about my HORRIBLE experience. read more

This place use to be the best in Longview. The service for what you pay for is absolutely ridiculous anymore. They do a hurried job on your nails and then massage a little extra longer to make you think they've "done something" and you're getting a great experience. The quality is poor. I have given them more chances than I should. $50 to $100 is a lot of money to spend to walk out looking no different than you did when you walked in. I took my teenage stepson and 5 year old daughter here for pedicures. The service was decent for the price. I think $26 for a 5 yr old to get a 'pedicure' & toes and fingers painted was way too much. They did a decent job on my stepson's ingrown toenails. My manicure was nice and pedicure was too. After being sat down in a pedi chair I was given the menu to look at for an entire 30 seconds, because there is no description of what a ' Long Island Tea ' or any other pedicure is about, I took the safe route and said " Just the basic one is fine, the first one." That's when I heard the first hissing sound from the employees. No water was offered, instead a bold face lie about using new a new nail file was given. The company puts brand new single use implements inside a plastic bag the rests on top of a folded clean towel at the ankle rest of all the pedi chairs; giving the impression that they are going to be used. Instead, the man opens up his tool box, digs out a used and worn out file and begins to file away! When I pointed to the bag of new implements that he moved aside, he hissed! So with words I asked " Why aren't your using those? " He said " You want new ? This new too!" , he was holding up his ugly worn out file. My daughter,next to me rolled her eyes. She prefers simply not to return than to confront the culprit....not Mama. Basically this place is the reason why finding a fungus rather than a decent pedicure is so widespread. This place is great! Their atmosphere is chic and sophisticated and I felt very welcomed when I came in. My first time coming here I got a pedicure and a dip manicure (my first one) and they turned out great! The only "issue" I'd say I had was when they painted my toes during my pedicure they didn't use any toe separators and my nails kept getting smudges as I went to get my manicure done. Advice to management, order some toe separators because I felt so bad having to have my toes redone. I will still definitely be coming back! read more

The best thing I can say about this place is that it's pretty on the inside. Now for the service. I understand people of all walks of life need to make a living here on the United States. But when you're providing a service where communication is key to a favorable outcome, it would behoove you to know how to speak & understand English fairly well. With that being said I came here without an appointment for a mani/pedi. Was seen quickly & I tell her what I wanted. I sit down and then starts the upselling. Not once or twice, but totaling 6 times. She cut my toe nails too low and she also never used the file thing that looks like a cheese grater. I asked her multiple times and even had the lady beside me to translate. She kept saying yes that she'd get to it and just smiled. Cute nail color, but already coming off the tip after 2 days. I have been coming to Pure now for 3 1/2 years! I love this place! They always treat me so well and I never have to wait. Go on the weekdays. Tuesday or wed. Is the best! I started out with the solar nails with shellac on top. They always looked fabulous and have a huge selection of shellac! For the past 5 months I have been getting the powder put on top of my real nails! I love it. My nails are now in great condition, hard and a great length! They also do not break! Wow how does this place win Locals love us every year. I lived in Longview several years ago and was in town for work. I remembered Pure being the new, nice spot. They were 15 minuets late opening no big deal I wasn't in a hurry. My nail tech only did 2 coats of powder so you can see through my nails. Standard is 3 where I'm from. And the price was about $10 higher than I'm use to so I had high expectations. He cut me multiple times and twisted my fingers to get them in awkward angels he wanted and when I said it hurt he kept doing it. He cut me multiple times with the drill and one time I jumped from how bad it hurt and he said the drill doesn't hurt you quit moving and my reply was why am I bleeding if it doesn't hurt....I will wait until I get home even with ugly nails before I ever go here again read more

I needed a new set of solar nails. Instead of the nail tech soaking them off... HE PEELED THEM OFF with a nail tip!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! They are suppose to know what they are doing right!! He peeled part of my own nail off with the solar nail tip.. It was bleeding and he never said a word!!! My fingers are so sore!! I asked him to take a look at what he did but he didn't. just told me that I didn't want straight edges. the design would have been nicer if he didn't try to free hand it. I asked him for something specific, he should have said he couldn't do it. I've only been here once and the one time I went it was close to Thanksgiving so maybe that's why I didn't get great service because they were busy and I was a walk in. My only complaint is that I asked for an acrylic set and got gel.
