In the 90's it was located in a small shopping center near Lynnhaven Mall. Since my business had been located very close, I decided to give them a try with some of my precious memories. Year after year I returned numerous times to have the business beautifully frame & mat precious photos & playbills from my son's acting career. My Music Room walls are filled with them. They made old family pictures into beautiful works of art. The store was filled with frame choices. Knowledgeable employees would work with you on the best choices for frames & mats. The finished products were always gorgeous. It was sad when they disappeared from the Lynnhaven area location, I assumed the store had closed. So no framing for me has been done in the years since. Upon locating the store in Lynnhaven Convenience Center, I was anxious to see if the framing stock would be as extensive. It turned out to be more so. And there was a larger supply of other decorative accents & framed prints available for purchase. One of my theater memories that they had framed decades ago had been knocked off the wall & the glass had been broken. It was from a production my son had been featured in with Virginia Stage Company about 30 years ago. I had continued to postpone getting the glass replaced since I had not developed trust in another store. How excited I was to take it into Frame 'N' Art for repair. I had hoped to pick it up today but learned upon arrival that they close on Monday. The location of the shopping center is the north side of Virginia Beach Boulevard just west of its intersection with Lynnhaven Parkway. If coming from the east turn into the first, rather than the main entrance. There is plenty of parking. This store gets my highest recommendation. They do beautiful work.

In both…read moreinstances the date that was communicated as when it would be due by occurred well before the pieces were actually ready. This would have been fine had there been any communication whatsoever regarding the delay. Rather I've wasted my time trying to track them down for an update by calling and stopping by the store. Most recently, when I was able to pick up the final piece (three weeks after the promised date) the piece was twice as large as the frame that we agreed upon. We spent over an hour with Joseph selecting a frame and outlining the exact size and style that we preferred. The work was just taped in the middle of an oversized frame without any matting. While they do nice work typically and have a variety of styles the exorbitant cost, lack of communication and poor follow through on well discussed plans are not worth the hassle. Update: They replaced the product and did so in a timely manner after this review was made. They apologized and were contrite and cordial in subsequent communications. It is upsetting that it took making mistakes to be given the care that was promised at the start. But overall, taking accountability helps re-earn my trust and respect.

They are not only friendly, helpful, and nice, but totally affordable. Framing can sometimes be a daunting experience but they are always willing to help me out. I am a young artist and framing my photos is always a heavy duty expense but they've been so helpful and accommodating!

We were killing time in the mall before the haunted place downstairs opened. My curiosity grew strong, as I was mesmerized by the colors and weirdness of it. I had to know what this was. It probed me to ask more questions with the urgency to seek answers. The gentleman informed me that it is an immersive art experience. I am a sucker for some immersive art. The seller for me was him being so straight faced and his dedicated commitment to convincing me that he was possibly a resident or may have had a friend that was from Garbage Town. It was either going to be $10 of très cool or a $10 regret. You will be advised to read the signs, which we did and you should too if you choose this mission to visit Garbage Town. Trust me, it will enhance the experience and make everything more clear. It is a macabre satire of the world's wasteful attitude. The world's inadequate collection of trash and improper disposal is portrayed in the installations. It forces one to open their eyes because the sizable amount of trash you're meandering through is right in front of you, not hidden out of sight. Garbage Town is where the rejected and excluded reside, a place where the "no longer wanted " inhabit. It brings to light the social injustices and issues that arise from this "throw away" mentality. There were installations that were quite humorous, but sad at the same time because there is truth to it. Garbage Town is a thought provoking experience that is impactful, if even for a moment for some. At the conclusion, you're left to decide whether you will choose to side with the sheep or the goat. The sheep and the goat are purposefully and respectively placed with the sheep on the right and the goat on the left. The sheep brightly lit, the goat placed in the dark among a red stained wall. It is a parable biblical reference to separate the sheep from the goats. In a sarcastic and facetious undertone, there is a small sign stating "it's not that serious -it's only your future". The sheep and goat are symbolic. Choose the sheep, you choose compassion and eternal life, hence the sheep is white and a light is illuminating it. Choose the goat, and you choose eternal judgment because of your choice to be stubborn, evil, & destructive. It's a powerful statement. This experience is deeper than it looks! Perhaps the gentleman, who happens to be the lead of this project wasn't acting after all? Maybe we are all part of the Garbage Town community, but we have not realized it? You might want to pause for some self reflection. Final take, it's a $10 experience that is in actuality, invaluable.
