I showed up at the Elks lodge, unsure of how the night was going to go, when all of a sudden something caught my attention from the back of the room. And there he was. In his dark shades, plaid shirt and windbreaker pants, silently bobbing his head to a beat only he could hear. The night went just as smoothly as Uncle Ned's did. Smooth transitions from early Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston, to leaser known greats like Rascal Flatt's and Diddy - Dirty Money. When Party Rock came back in all of its glory, I was so giddy with delight that I actually ended up breaking some of his gear with my signature arm-windmill move. He was gracious enough to cover the cost himself, and even gave me a kiss to make me feel better. DJ Healey is more than a DJ, he's a DJ Artist. An artisan of music that spins hit after hit until your fragile human heart can't take it anymore, leaving a hole only hiring him can fill. Which my extended family has done anywhere from 80-130 times.
