Well this was my first class instructed workout ever in life (outside of school lol) and when I tell you I am TIRED! But I'm a good way! It was very intense on my muscles, lol which isn't what I expected. I honestly thought it would be a little tough but boy they had me sweating. I would definitely recommend. Everyone is really nice and friendly! And if you're like me who has anxiety working out in front of other people this is definitely the environment to go to. Definitely will be back read more

Pure Barre Metairie - Class schedule - Barre Classes Near Me - Metairie, Louisiana

This studio is amazing! The classes are always challenging and fun and the staff is always so kind and helpful. There are different formats to choose from and the teachers are always pushing you to do your best. 10/10 would recommend always. read more

Love the new location addition! It just makes it all that more convenient to lift, tone and burn! Plenty of parking, friendly staff and all around great spot! Totally addicted to this workout! The cost of Pure Barre is on the expensive side. Between my love of the workout and the price, it keeps me motivated to commit unlike my gym membership that I have been paying for and not going. The instructors help with your form and will sometimes help you stretch at the end. They will also answer your questions at the end and demonstrate a technique if you require it. I've completed over 60 classes and still learn proper technique every time I go. As I attend each class, I can feel myself getting stronger; however each class is still a challenge. You can sink lower to challenge yourself further. Make your time count. You're paying a lot of money to get your sexy on! Higher the heels, the thinner the thighs! :) Wear pants, a shirt that covers your abs, bring water and I recommend bringing a small towel as well. If you observe before you try, it doesn't look like much because it is small isometric movements but you will sweat and you will work hard! Enjoy! I know I will be for the next three months at least! read more

yeah, it's an expensive studio workout class, but it is effective and great if you are looking to tone up. The classes will run you $25 a pop unless you sign up for the monthly unlimited plans which give you a little bit of a price break. It's definitely worth it if you can commit to going 4 or more times a week. For the classic barre workout you use a mat, straps, ball and light weights which are all provided for you at the studio. All you need to bring is your own pair of grip socks which they will happily sell you if you forget. The classic barre classes are low impact and almost relaxing even though it is a tough workout and your legs will literally shake from fatigue. I went here for 6 months straight and saw some great results, but ultimately decided to move on because I was hitting a plateau. I really needed something that could offer more diversity into my workout routine than just one type of class. The few cardio classes they did offer would get filled super fast which was a little frustrating. I couldn't justify having 2 memberships for the price so Pure Barre got the ax. They use an app booking system so you have to sign up for each class to reserve your spot and if you are a no show you get charged. Overall, its a great workout in a nice atmosphere if you can swing it. read more

Hi. I hate that I am using Yelp right now, I really do. I feel like it's where cowards hide because they can't express their real feelings in person. However, if I could scream In your face I would. This place let down a incredibly loyal customer in the lowest way possible. My mother has spent an incredible amount of time and money in this location. She loves it. It's her safe space, as exercise should be, and that was taken away from her by this pure barre. Due to Covid, lockers have been moved behind the desk, one would assume under watchful eye. While in class, her safe space to not worry about the rest of this crazy world, her keys were STOLEN. I cap stolen because in your response your reply "missing keys." Her "missing keys" stole her wallet out of the car, spent a ridiculous amount of money from lulu lemon to jewelry to Burger King. Not only did you all fail her feeling safe at the "gym" but now her ID, car keys, house keys were in all someone else's hands. When she asked someone to help her when she first realized, some ridiculous human replied she needed to sanitize the equipment first. When she asked about what happened, it was ignored. She returned again, to get her car she could no longer get into. All the sudden, you all remembered a stranger in the shop during her class that "had to use the bathroom." She was panicked, scared, and now this person now had access to all her things. After she did everything one would do after your information, credit cards, car keys, house keys, etc. had been stolen, she thought the least you could do is take some sort of responsibility. Pay for her new house locks, new car locks, giver her some gym credit, whatever. However, when she sent this request to you, you replied in an email titled "missing keys." There was a detective appointed to her case and you said "missing." A BIG FAT FUCK YOU to pure barre. You let my beautiful, incredibly strong mother feel violated. The you absolutely nothing to make it right. This was on you. read more

Until 2 months ago I had never heard of Pure Barre, now I am wondering how I could have not heard of it?? I read somewhere that after 8 classes your body starts to change or you can see the effects and, perhaps if I did not indulge myself in PizzaPalooza every night, I would see an even bigger difference! That said, after just a few classes I realized that I had abs! My core is not as strong as I would like mainly because there is a nice layer of fat over my hardly-utilized lower abs, but after a few classes I began to notice them and now I am highly aware of them at all times! I like the location because if you live in Old Metairie it's a short drive away and ample parking. I just finished my seventh (?) class today and I am really glad I joined because it's intense, goes by quickly, and doesn't take a lot of time out of my schedule. If you are wondering what all is actually involved, think small, intense movements and isolation. To someone watching it may seem like you are not doing anything, but as the participant your muscles will be shaking and you will be sweating. Downside? Price!! First class is free. First timers pay $100 for the first month. After that...ehhhh...check the website, because it's pretty expensive (teacher discounts offered though!) Tip! You cannot wear shorts!!! I arrived at the NOLA location for my first class in a pair of shorts (because I forgot that golden rule) and ended up having to pay for a pair of stretch pants from their ridiculously expensive clothing line. Was it my fault? Yes, I forgot what to wear and I still wanted to take the class. What was my price? A scary 70 something dollars for a pair of stretch pants (that somehow had a small hole in it by the next day). However, I pretty much wear these pants everyday to ensure I am getting my money's worth!! read more

I started going because I got a great price on a Groupon and had heard good things from one of my best friends. I was looking for away to stay in shape since I am now pregnant and cannot do some of the more intense running/bootcamp workouts I used to do. After barely moving for a few months, I was feeling super gross and out of shape. While you are taking the class, you wonder if it is actually doing anything- such small movements, little sweat, and light weights! Then you wake up the next day and can't move your legs, and you know, yes, it DEFINITELY is doing something! I have seen some positive changes since I began taking classes- the "Pure Barre Shelf" has started to appear... basically a nice, round, lifted booty! My husband likes that part! :) I have also seen a lot of increased flexibility. Being a runner, my hamstrings were always SUPER tight, and all the stretching done in class definitely helps. The instructors are great and have given me great tips and modifications since I can't do everything... and I've had to make more and more modifications the bigger I get! It's really encouraging to see so many pregnant instructors and people taking the classes, make me feel like I am not alone! Be sure to sign up for classes early online, the prime times fill up quickly! They sell super cute workout clothes, socks (you need grippy socks to take the classes), and other accessories. I just wish they weren't so expensive! The classes themselves are also quite expensive as well. The packages do go on sale a few times a year, and if you go several times a week regularly, you definitely get your money's worth! read more

After going here for a couple of months this place gets a 5 star rating! There is only one instructor I try to avoid because she is very rough in putting you into form but I like all the other instructors! Do the new client special and the new client step up plan to get the most for your money. I'm trying to go 5 days a week for one month...Let's see how that goes. Up an inch, down an inch. read more

Pure Barre is an intense barre workout that incorporates yoga, Pilates, and ballet in a 55minute session. I joined for the six months before my wedding, and my arms and waist were very toned and lean for the pictures. I stopped Pure Barre for about six months due to the price, but I'm back at it again because no other workout delivers the results I want. The new routine has revved up the workout, and is much harder so I'm pretty excited about getting back into shape. read more

Pure Barre Metairie - Barre Classes Near Me - Metairie, Louisiana

I started going to Pure Barre in Metairie in January of this year. I was recovering from a back injury, and my doctor told me no impact exercises, and he suggested Pure Barre. My first class was Jan 9, and I have been almost every day since then! I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Classic and empower...LOVE THEM BOTH! But now that reform has launched, I can't decide which class I love the most! Fortunately, we get to do all 3 as part of our membership. Thanks, Pure Barre, for the full body workout! read more

I went to Pure Barre for a year when I first moved to New Orleans. I really enjoyed it, and my body was pretty toned. The problem for me was there's no cardio. I mean, full disclosure: I hate cardio, but I need it in order to lose any weight. The class itself is pretty difficult, and you definitely feel the burn while doing the moves. The instructors are amazing and friendly, and the music is good. The packages are a little pricey, but they offer deals several times a year. You can always check Groupon, too. read more

I'm coming up on my 5 year Pure Barre anniversary. I require a motivation and accountability that a gym doesn't give me, but Pure Barre continues to keep me coming back for more all of these years later. I'll admit that when I first started taking classes I found it intimidating that there are no beginner classes. You may take your first class alongside someone who is taking, say, her 750th class. However, that's one of the things that I've come to love about Pure Barre-- it is for everyone! You work within your own limits and continue to push those limits at your own pace. On that note, there's a good chance that you won't absolutely love your first class. It takes like 5-10 classes to really get a feel for it. The new client special is a perfect opportunity to get a true sense of the technique and see the results. And you will see results! Bonus points for: a very friendly staff , a parking lot & a clean studio. read more

My all time favorite place!! I love the burn and shake!! The teachers are friendly and helpful and the owner is always willing to accommodate her customers. This is truly my home away from home!! read more

So I went in to get information about rates and times. Jackie was so friendly and helpful. She scheduled a free class for me and gave me the 411 on all their specials. I can't wait to take the complimentary class and decide if this is where I am going to start my workout routine. read more

I ACTUALLY see results and it all my joints are aching with pain after! I have a torn ACL and still get a great workout due to the helpful instructors showing me different modifications throughout class. PB really is a community where questions for staff are encouraged before and after class. I never feel the "intimidation factor" or judged because everyone is on a different level of fitness....and that's OK! It's so nice to have an hour that you can tune out everything and just follow instructions. Absolutely love this place...and the retail selection is awesome too! read more

Pure Barre is a fabulous full body work-out. I've been a fan since 2012 and still love the burn! It can be grueling, but it's all good and the instructors are the best!h read more

One of my best decisions was joining Pure Barre! I started out with a special Bride Package, and I've been hooked ever since! As a teacher, it is so important to make sure to find time to yourself to unwind, and Pure Barre is the place for me! I am able to take all of my stress of the day and leave it at the door. The Metairie Rd studio has such a warm and positive atmosphere! It has become my home away from home! read more

I absolutely love the classes, the environment, and the instructors. I always feel fabulous after every class!! I would highly recommend Pure Barre to everyone I know!! read more

I love Pure Barre, I've taken well over 200 classes there, and I've done all of their packages that are offered at a lower rate (except the baby bounce back). I currently do a monthly auto draft pkg, and I'd give it a 4 star rating because it's really expensive, but I love it too much to do that! I really enjoy going. The classes are fun, most of the teachers are fabulous, and each time it's different. You don't even think "how much longer do we have", because it's never monotonous. This is more than an exercise class, it's a community! It's nice going to a place and feeling like everyone knows your name. You don't find that at most gyms etc. I've made several friends through PB too. In just a short amount of time, you'll notice your body will start to change. I don't know about everyone, but I think it's important to include extra cardio in your workout routine, because this alone has not given me the "body of my dreams", but it has helped me get to a place that I'd never been before physically. Pure Barre, for me, has tightened and toned my legs, arms, butt, and abs. The studio also sells great workout clothing. I was never really into buying a lot of exercise clothes until going here, and now almost everything I own I've purchased there! It can be really dangerous! I plan my week around my Pure Barre classes, and if you are someone that hasn't tried it...DO! You won't regret it! read more

Great workout with awesome instructors! Small classes that are 55 minutes long- you will lift, tone and burn calories to upbeat music! Friendly and helpful staff read more

After 600+ classes, I have yet to lose my enthusiasm for PB. The blending of a tough workout/elements of ballet/ music and amzing clothing, it's just right! read more

I usually use the Magazine Street studio but I use this one if I'm running errands since it is located in the Old Metairie shopping mall. I like grabbing a smoothie at the Green Fork after. You can see my review of the Magazine St. studio below. It all holds true for this studio as well. Both are owned by the same person. I highly recommend the new client special, $100 for a month unlimited. It's a great way to jump in and it's a really good deal. Pure Barre does take some getting used to since it requires small movements to bring your muscles to fatigue. It took me three class to finally get the shake and the burn! There is also a free 75 minute class that they offer every month called "breaking down the barre," which really explains the class. It's best to take this once you've taken at least three classes. Wow! I just got my invitation to Pure Barre New Orleans's 5th Anniversary Party. I can't believe it's been five years. I had never been a group exercise type of person. I prefered running and taking an occasional yoga class. I'd taken a boot camp class here or there but nothing ever really "stuck". I have battled a lower back issue for many years now and most classes have resulted in more back pain. Then, five years ago, on my jogging route, I saw the Pure Barre studio being built. I took my first class during the opening week, and here I am five years later! I feel stronger, toner, and more flexible. Best of all, my back feels great and my running has improved. It's been five years, and every class is still challenging! I love that the routines and the equipment and the music are always changing but that the core concept stays the same. I know going in that I am going to get a total body work-out in 55 mins. And, as a teacher myself, I love the instructors! It's great knowing that whether I need to get a class in early or late after work or even on the weekend, there is always something on the schedule that fits my needs. Even, on vacation, I take a dvd with me or even better, I can usually find a studio in the city I am visiting. I've been to a few but my NOLA studio is the BEST! I love my Pure Barre! read more

I decided to try out this exercise class when someone mentioned it in passing. It took one class to get me hooked! I started with the new client special and that turned in to a year commitment. I now go 5-6 days a week, which is funny because I never worked out before. It's more than just a workout though. You meet so many great people! Love you guys! read more
